BEWARE!!! Another report that this company will go after you for damages. I reserved a car at the Denver airport. No one came to car with me. No one gave me a form to record damage. No one checked me out of the lot. Returned car and was charged a few weeks later for a scratch I knew was already on the car. Should have take a photo. Will never rent from them again. read more

I had a good experience with Sixt. The price was right, the car was what I wanted. The facility is no frills and quite a ways from the airport but those things are not that important to me when renting a car. There is a shuttle and the driver was helpful and friendly. The staff was helpful and personable and there was no line when I arrived. The return was as easy as it is at any other airport car rental. The car could have been a lot cleaner when I received it, but I could make that complaint about most car rental agencies at this point. I would definitely recommend Sixt as an option to friends traveling to Denver. read more

I will never rent from this company again! I rented a Equinox from them on a trip I had taken in CO. Just before I dropped of the vehicle I refueled the tank and dropped it off at the sixt location at about 4am. I pulled car into the secured lot they had there and got picked up from the shuttle and headed to the airport. After I had returned home and several hours later I received a phone call from Sixt asking me if I had planned on returning the car because I had a 4:30am drop off. I told the guy that called me I had definitely dropped off the vehicle and they need to check their camera and confirm it. He said okay and if he had anymore questions he would call me back. The next day I tried calling back the number I received the call from to see if they had figured out where the car went but it wasn't a working number!! So I just let it go until I received an invoice from Sixt and a withdrawal from my banking account! I was confused about the invoice because it said they charged me for fueling up the car that I had definitely dropped off with a full tank so I sent an email to get clarification if that's what they had done and when they finally responded back with a picture of the fuel gauge that was a little above empty while reminding me about the contract I signed and what I would be charged if they had to refuel the car themselves. Okay, fine! But at this point I'm livid because I knew I had refueled it and I had questions about where and when they located the car since it was apparently missing!! So after I emailed them back and searched and called many numbers I finally reached an actual human and told her what was going on and in the notes of the rental it said how the car was found in an impound and some guy had been arrested for stealing the car and blah blah blah!! So with them KNOWING that someone had stolen that car after I had dropped it off they came at me with pictures and invoices and charged me for fuel. I get the part where they might not have known if I had put the fuel back given someone took it BUT nobody ever called me to ask, nobody called to see if maybe I did have proof of my refueling car and nobody ever called me to even tell me the car was found. It was such an awful and stressful experience and I just would never trust them enough to rent through them again and would not recommend anyone to do so. read more

SHUTTLE SERVICE: Pick up location Very poorly marked at Denver Airport. First shuttle drove past us. Second shuttle told us to go to different location and wait. Third shuttle took another 20 minutes and no help with luggage. On the return to airport, the shuttle dropped us off at the baggage claim where we were picked up on arrival instead of at our departure gate??? We had to walk with a lot of luggage across the whole airport!! Unacceptable! Every other car rental drops off at the customer's airline departure terminal. Sixt Location: The agent offered us a upgrade for an additional cost to an SUV. We agreed, got out to the car only to find out it was considerably SMALLER than the car we reserved. Our suitcase didn't fit in the 'SUV' and had to go back in (wait another 20 minutes in line) only to go back to our originally booked car. Additional 20 minutes wasted. When I went back in to tell the agent our suitcase doesn't fit, he knew it wouldn't!!! Why offer an 'Upgrade' to an SUV for extra money knowing it wouldn't work and was actually SMALLER? The car, Volvo 60, itself was fine and well equipped. read more

AVOID this company!! Worst rental car experience. Multiple forms of bait and switch and nickel and dime... First, car I pre-booked wasn't available ($963) so only option available was an $1100 upgrade ($2060 total!). Lastly, they tried to claim a scratch on the hood was caused by me (it wasn't) and are asking for $300 to pay for damages that were already on the car. AVOID this company!!! read more

So we had a rental scheduled in the future, but tragically someone in our immediate family contracted covid and we are not able to travel...so we cancel the airline, hotels with no issues what so ever, no cost up front and mind you this is a week prior to traveling. I could have expected to be charged a night for the hotels, but nope, they refunded with a nice note to come back and see us soon note...I digress... Sixt on the other hand, we can cancel, but were going to have to charge you 3 days rental. Excuse me? 3 days rental because it was a 8 day rental. I've contacted them through e-mail asking for full refund or okay I can understand 1 day rental fee, but 3 days is ridiculous. Customer service called, nope can't talk to someone about a refund, you have to e-mail customer service, which I did. Then they said well you can: "You can change your reservation dates, times and even pick up location. * You have the option to rebook for up to a year from now. * You can rebook as many times as necessary as long as it is at least one hour before the start of the rental. * Feel free to select a date far into the future, that can be changed at your discretion so as to keep your pre-paid credit. * Rebooking's can be made via the following link (security code required):" So I click on the link, which takes me to the website. I put in my reservation and security code, then the web site says, "oops sorry were having difficulty finding your reservation, try again later" This was Sunday at 5 pm Eastern. So I tried again Monday at 8 am Eastern, same screen appears. I tried a third time and even switched from Edge to Crome just to make sure it wasn't some coding error, but nope, still same. Then kept clicking until finally my reservation appeared, but looked like buttons were missing...rebook or cancel...I tried to rebook for next year, just as advertised, but nope it wanted to charge my credit card again for the full 8 days. so I backed out and tried again, same response from website. so I can't wait any longer due to having to deal with family member with covid and other circumstances beyond our control now, so I cancelled it...of course wouldn't you know they still charged me for 3 days of a rental and I get nothing...no voucher nothing for $183!!! This company is the worst customer service, worst website and forget talking to anyone but through e-mail. I've asked twice for a full refund, but denied. Not sure if this company took PPP from government covid bail out, but damn sure this company is not represented well. Cheap rental does not mean good service...reading other reviews probably saved myself from bad customer service. I'd go with another rental car company from now on...learned my lesson. Won't be using them when I am on company business either. read more

If you need a quick shuttle pick up choose a larger brand. Had a 25-30 min wait for nicely appointed shuttle. Rental price significantly better than other brands.Didn't have car we bookedbut able to upgrade us for the same price, perfect. We rented a car at MSP last week. The car was new, we were upgraded to an all-wheel drive SUV. There was no line, although, it was 1:30am. The shuttle driver, Bob, was fantastic. We had a terrible experience with Sixt. My we had original reserved an elite premium vehicle and decided to up upgrade to a Jeep Wrangler. The first issue was that the price for an upgrade at the store was $50 more than the website, which we were okay paying, but the car we got was terrible and had a ton of mechanical issues. We didn't start experiencing the issues until we starting driving on the highway and were driving over 45 mph. Slight right turn at highway speed would cause the car to shake violently until steering is brought back to neutral position. Just stay away. Book at another car rental company. read more

Do not rent a car from here. Had to change my plans due to COVID-19 outbreak and changed from having car for 5 days to having for LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!!!!! I've been laughing at the dismay reported by some of these reviews!! The airport shuttle (in the morning) was immediately available. Upon arrival to the lot there were 2 people being served by the 2 agents on duty, making my wait just a few minutes. To my amazement, the young guy who helped me was apologizing for the wait, and even though I'd already paid Hotwire for the cheapest thing they had (which the site said would be some throwaway little KIA) I was offered an assortment of small SUV's, from a Jeep Compass, to a Mercedes something or other, or a BMW X3, which I gladly took! Sure, the damage that people complain about is real - but honestly, how many people go out of their way to make sure their rental doesn't get a scratch?! I told the check-out guy about 2 additional door dings, he took note of them, and away I went! Returning it the next afternoon was just as flawless. BIG KUDOS to Sophia, as I had completely spaced filling it up before bringing it back - and she actually let me leave to go fill it, so I wouldn't get stabbed for $10/gallon that they hit you up for! How many companies will actually let you leave with a vehicle as they're actively checking it back in?? Excellent company to deal with - no problem giving this positive review. read more

Sixt was great. I will use them on all my business and personal travel. I was hesitant to use discount renters but after having terrible experiences with Avis I gave Sixt a shot. Car was nice - Staff was helpful - they showed me which way I to go to avoid the toll road by the airport - that is a cool thing to do as a lot of car rental companies make a lot of money on back billing tolls. I will always look to Sixt first after this - goodbye Avis. Most of the bad reviews have to do with people renting the car not being the people who pick it up or having the CC they used to make the rental. Just pay attention to directions as they spell out what is expected. read more

The check-in was a breeze. Unfortunately, the car I got did get had a slow leaky/low pressure tire which I noticed just 1minute after leaving their office. So I returned immediately only to find out there was no equal/same car available and I ended up with a replacement vehicle which wasn't same class.... And, to top it off, it didn't have winter / M+S tires as the original one. The staff wasn't apologetic at all and it seemed like an inconvenience for them to having to exchange cars for me (which is crazy considering they gave me a car with 19psi tire pressure and going down). Waisted 30mim of my time doing this. First time renting with SIXT but NEVER again. Also, the location is 3miles from airport (long shuttle drive) and not as close/convenient like the other big rental car agencies. read more

They did not offer any kind of Toll package and when I asked them if I needed to worry about till toads they said no. Two weeks after my rental I noticed another charge on my card from Sixt. When I called they said I had three toll charges and a penalty charge. I think they are working with the state of Colorado to run up toll charges and penalties for the state. If there are only electronic tolls and you rent a car without being offered the option to pay ahead for going through tolls then they are purposefully trying to rack up extra charges on their customers. They were supposed to have a manager from that office call me and I never received a call back. I will never rent from Sixt again. read more

I rented Nov 2nd-Nov 3rd - one day. The airport was not crowded. There was no wait for the shuttle, although I do not think they have as many as the big USA companies. We arrived to nobody at the counter. They are a 5 min farther drive than the HERTZ, AVIS etc, on the S side. The person at the counter was nice. It took 5 min to do the electronic paperwork (vs Hz Gold, or Avis Preferred). The car was exactly like the picture. It was not similar, it was the car. It was also new. I drove out in a new Benz for the price of a normal standard car on the other sites. The total time and wait was maybe 10 min more than my best Avis/Hertz waits. I have rented from Sixt in Seattle, and several times in Europe and have always found their cars low miles, typically German premium brands at a lower cost - for those brands. On return, Sat 15:00 there was quite a crowd, but they had 5 or so staff behind counters handling them. We had to wait 5 min for a shuttle and it was not bad, so for use - five star. But the crowd I saw made me think about next time. They do not have sheltered shuttle waiting areas. You can stand in the trailers and look out the door, but the shuttle driver cannot see you. It was windy and cold and that is what we did. It worked just fine, but along with the crown kept this a 4/5 star rating. Still - I'll do Sixt next time most likely. read more

Do not rent a vehicle from this company. Sixt is a deceitful and fraudulent rental car company. The pushy sales guy talked us into renting an upgraded vehicle (4 cyl to 6 cyl) because we were going to be driving through the mountains. The car didn't drive as expected, so we looked up the VIN. Not only did we not receive the upgrade we had agreed to for $70+ extra, now Sixt won't refund our $70+. They say that since we signed the paperwork (we had to sign before we had even seen the car), we were agreeing to the fees for the nonexistent "upgrade". Needless to say, we will never use Sixt again and will be vocal about their lack of customer service, deceitful service, and fraudulent business practices. read more

I was charged for 3 gallons of gas at $9.97 when I returned the car. Had refueled about 15-20 miles from airport so at most would have been down 1 gallon. What a rip-off. I would not use Sixt again after a dishonest refueling charge like that. Called their customer service and they were unwilling to reverse the charge or reduce the number of gallons being charged to me from 3 to 1. Seems like a little deal but at $9.97/gallon, the price adds up. Picked up car at night. Didn't notice until I drove away that side view mirrors were so filthy as to be unusable in the dark. Very dangerous. Inside of car was mostly clean but some general areas not cleaned - I suspect car wasn't cleaned after prior rental. Denver has snow, and had snow on my trip. Sixt did not have an ice scraper in the car which became a major problem when it snowed. Was I supposed to pack one in my luggage? That is a major flaw for a car rental company in a city where it snows! I wouldn't use Sixt again. I will stick with the more established companies that won't nickel and dime their customers and take time to clean and prepare their cars. read more

If I could rate no stars I would.. our flight was delayed by 45 mins, which the company should have been aware of since we gave them our flight info.. we got our bags at midnight and went out to catch the shuttle.. after waiting a few mins we called to see where the shuttle was and we were told that they were closed and we could pick up our car at 0500 when they reopened... they left 5 young women stranded at the Denver airport in 30 degree weather in the middle of the night. We also had already paid for the vehicle.. we ended up renting a vehicle from another company who gave us a sweet deal.. hoping that Sixt makes things right and refunds us our money, if that's the case I will have a more positive review of the company but for now I am furious. In response to the reply from Sixt: I understand that the location can't stay open all night for all delays but we were on the ground in Denver by 11:30pm and had to get bags.. we were ready for pickup at midnight.. I think in the spirit of customer service it is not unreasonable to stay open for an extra 15 mins. Very disappointing. read more

Cody chambers is single handedly the worst manager at any car rental place in the United States. His practices are clearly stuck in the early 2000's as he has no negotiation skills and still spikes his hair using hair gel. I would never recommend anybody to this service and if I did it would be somebody I hate dearly. Nobody deserves to go through this guy and his cheesy security guy nearly blocking the entrance. The rental location isn't exactly comfy either, they drop you off and let you leave you bags unattended outside as you walk up into their trailer home that they call an office. And don't plan on renting here if you are in a rush as your vehicle is bound to arrive at least 30 minutes after scheduled pickup. And if you're reading this Cody, please, for the love of god leave the hair gel in 2019 along with any customers who take the time to read this. Nightmare rental! If I could give this company a negative I would. We waited at DIA for over 35 minutes for the shuttle to arrive and this was 3:00 in the afternoon. After getting ahold of a rep from the company he suggested we take a shuttle van from the DIA parking lot next to the business! Upon returning home I discovered that I was double charged for the rental and am still dealing with all those issues and have filed a dispute with the credit card company. To top it all off, I just got a toll bill for $11.00 and was charged $20 administrative fee plus tax on top of it. I knew I was going to be on a toll road going to and from the airport and was prepared to pay for that. When I asked the company rep at the time of renting he told me the unlimited toll would be $13 a day and I couldn't just pick the two days it had to be every day of the rental. Never was I told that each toll you go under you are charge a $5 fee. Beware!!! Found out you can get a multi state toll pass to use when you are traveling in different states. First the disappointing part of my Sixt experience... the Jeep Compass I was given obviously had not been cleaned after its previous rental. The car wreaked of cigarette smoke. It appeared someone had tried to cover up the smell with a spray but that had not helped. Someone had also spilled something in the backseat. The car was also fairly dirty on the outside. I was very tired when I returned the car and forgot to stop at a gas station to top off the tank. Definitely - my fault. I was charged an extra $50 + cost of fuel. I wish the agent had mentioned this when I dropped off the car. She told me there would be no additional charges. I had extra time and would have taken the car to a nearby gas station to fill up. Again, I get it - it's my fault and I originally agreed to return the car full of gas. $50 just seems a little excessive especially considering I didn't get a clean car (cigarette smoke) at pick up. Now to the good... there was no wait on the shuttle bus at the airport or upon returning the car. The shuttle drivers were friendly and helped with luggage. Most of the cars on the lot appeared to be new and in great condition. The Jeep Compass was almost brand new and was great except again for that cigarette smell. I'd be willing to give Sixt another try as long as I could be promised a clean car. And, I won't make that same mistake of not filling up again. By the way, if you're renting from Sixt - there are no obvious signs at the Denver airport. Just head for the off airport shuttle area. Sixt texted me with the details as soon as I arrived. read more

I reserved a mid size SUV on line that would be picked up at Denver airport sixt location. Upon arrival, attendant tried to up sell me into a larger SUV stating that the one I had selected was not optimal for mountain driving. Almost a low key shame of my choice, due to performance of vehicle. I told him I'm pretty sure that's what I had selected. I was told that something larger like a mid size suv would be optimal and there would be a significant up charge however. Around 300 dollars or so. I decided to take the compact SUV knowing that I would be just fine with whatever. Upon reviewing my itinerary after settling down after travel to hotel, I realized that I was correct and he made a mistake. Could be honest, but he was very insistent on up selling me. I have contacted customer service as well as filed a complaint with attendant upon return. Still have not yet heard one response back from their team. Car was fine as well as price. Did not get the vehicle I rented and was a hard used car sales vibe when getting vehicle. read more

Sixt was great. I read all the bad reviews and was very skeptical. I ended up with them through Hotwire. The shuttle was very fast. It was waiting at the baggage claim for us. The shuttle was as clean as most other rental car shuttles I've been on. The drive from the baggage claim to the Sixt office was nowhere near 20 minutes like someone else said. It was more like 5. Yes, they are off airport, but the lot is still very close. The person at the check in counter was polite and efficient. He asked a few questions about my travle and recommended that I NOT get the toll road pass since I wasn't going to be around them most of the time. He also told me where the gas station was to avoid the gas fill up pass. No upsales. I was shocked. Drop off was easy. They had a shuttle available right away that dropped us off at out terminal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PLACE! Worst place to get a rental from. First car they gave us was dirty, had scratches and dents that they had not preciously recorded. Second car had low air tire pressure and they found a nail! They took almost two hours out of our travel because they're imbeciles who can't do their job right. I was a bit wary after reading reviews, but I pulled the trigger on a Sixt rental anyway hoping that the bad reviews were the exception and I'm really glad that I did. We had a very good experience. We arrived around 7pm on Christmas Day, 2019. The airport shuttles were only 10 minutes apart, but we did have to wait for a second one because the first shuttle was full. At the rental office, there only two agents working, and the line was long, so the car pick-up took longer than expected, but since it was Christmas Day, it was entirely forgivable. We had reserved an SUV, but because it was late in the day, the car options were very limited. We ended up paying $12/day more for an upgrade because I wanted to make sure we got a 4WD vehicle for the snowy mountain roads. The car was clean and in great shape. No issues whatsoever. The return was also smooth and fast. I would use Sixt again. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a car rental. It's Friday, February 15th, 10:20pm. Arrived with 8 people in line ahead of me. With three Sixt reps at the counters, it took 40+ minutes before I was helped. One main problem seemed to be that many customers that were served earlier had to come back to the counter to fix problems with their rentals. The Sixt reps could continually have to stop servicing their new customer and try to fix the problem with the earlier customer. Often this required the Sixt rep to leave the floor, or even leave the building. At multiple times, there were no Sixt reps in the customer area for 5-10 minutes at a time. At the same time, the customer line is getting longer and longer, now extending into the counter area. The many children in the lobby are going crazy at this point, many having waited for 45 minutes at this point, making it quite a scene with in the building. Finally, when my turn arrived, I was helped by Alex, and the transaction was seeming to go fairly smoothly, until the previous customer had some problems with her rental. Fortunately (for me, anyway) he had her wait while he finished working with me. I left the lobby, happy to finally get out of there after all of that time. Unfortunately, I was soon to learn that my rental also had problems. * Once I was out in the car lot, I found that car assigned to me was not in its location. I walked over to the car checkout location, where the employee said, "oh this happens a lot, walk around on the lot and keep pressing the key fob until you find it" (mind you, it's 15F outside). * So I find the car, load my bags, and drive to the checkout. There's a problem: the paperwork doesn't seem to match license plate of the car. I'm told to return to the building and get it straightened out with Alex, my Sixt rep. * Back inside the lobby, Alex stops the transaction with his customer and attempts to solve the problem. He's issues me a new car and paperwork. He disappears to the back-office for a few minutes and get new keys. Fine, maybe now I'm finally on my way. I find the car in the lot, load my bags, but now the key fob won't start the car. * Now I'm going back to the lobby to find Alex and try to solve this problem again. He again has to stop the transaction with his customer. He goes back into the back-office area for several minutes. Another customer is also having problems, and she and I are waiting outside the office door for him to come out. Inside the lobby, it's pretty chaotic, as nobody is being helped, customers are exasperated (including myself) and many bored kids are screaming and running around. Finally, Alex comes out, says the problem is solved, he walks me out to the vehicle (with a customer still waiting at his counter). I'd guess that customer probably waited at least 10 minutes for Alex to return to the counter. Outside, Alex and another employee seemingly very happy that they've solved this issue. Fine. I get in the car, start it up, everything seems good, but as I start to leave I realize my bags aren't in the car. Apparently, this isn't the same vehicle that was last issued to me. * So now I'm back in the lobby for the fourth time, again stopping with work Alex is doing with a customer, so that they can locate the vehicle that has my bags. This takes some time, waiting out in the cold, but eventually the vehicle and my bags are found, and these are brought to me. At this point, I've been here at Sixt for well over an hour. I start the car and drive to the checkout. * When I reach the car checkout, I stop and try to hand my paperwork, but fortunately the employees says "I don't need to see it, you've been through enough tonight" and he waives me through. I'll admit I was a pretty frustrated customer during each of these issues. But who wouldn't be? It's hard to know whether these issues were due to the Sixt reps or due to systemic issues within that Sixt location. While Alex and other reps kept a cordial tone through all of this, many customers were remarking that the Reps were pretty lackadaisical thought their customer transactions and problem solving (of course, waiting in line for so long, and watching so many problems arise, we had a lot of time to discuss lack of good service from Sixt). It would be easy to say that I just experienced a series of unfortunate issues, and that my experience wasn't typical. But I waited with other customers for 40+ minutes, we watched multiple issues happen with each of the three Sixt reps working the counters. Customers that were being "helped" at the counters would have to wait while their rep disappeared into a back office or even leave the building with a previous customer. This was a ridiculous scenario. I can't see why I'd ever risk doing business with Sixt again. EDIT: This review was sent directly to Sixt Customer Service two weeks ago, but there was no response. read more

I didn't see the negative reviews until after we left with our car and was definitely nervous turning it back in. My experience, however, was excellent! The check in was easy and painless, no big upsells for insurance or upgrades (they were, of course, offered). Our Mercedes GLC was clean and full of fuel. There were a number of dings on it, mostly on the rear bumper and they were documented for us on the check in sheet. I had taken a picture when we picked the car up of one little scratch. In hindsight I'd definitely rent from them again but seeing the problems people have had with turning cars in and getting charged for damages I'd take a dozen pictures while walking around the car before I took it so I could prove the condition at pick-up. Shuttles were prompt going both directions. The driver on our drive to the rental car company was super courteous and funny. They offer free coffee and encouraged us to take as many bottles of water as we wanted. Nicest care I've rented and one of the best rates too! read more

After talking this over with my fiance it appears that I unfairly maligned Sixt (saying we'd paid in advance and were required to pay for an involuntary upgrade when the reserved car type wasn't available)... my fiance originally said he was not given an option about the upgrade but in fact he was talked into it. So the only "bad" things I have to say are that picking up the car took a bit longer than expected and the wait for the shuttle back to the airport took a bit longer than expected. read more

I researched car rental companies, decided to try out Sixt. I booked and reserved a SUV (Traverse or similar model) through Priceline.com, paid everything upfront. Once I arrived to Sixt in Denver, CO the service attendant said they did not have my reserved car but they had a Tahoe I could get for $30/day extra (on top of what I already paid). I was confused because I thought reserving a vehicle and paying up front was going to ensure I had a vehicle available, but instead I was up sold a higher priced vehicle (Tahoe or similar model SUV). They attendant apologized and then tried to up-sell me again to an Escalade for $120/day extra. I denied the up-sell. She stated they were out of that model I reserved and only had the Tahoe and Escalade. I conceded and paid the extra $30/day for the Tahoe. The car was decent, besides a few scratches, cracked bumper and rear lift gate not working. Felt like I got taken advantage of. read more

I rented a car for the first time with Sixt , I was excited .. Nice cars and the young man that we worked with a the counter was so helpful ! The day we picked our car up in Denver is was snowing and the car was covered in about 4" of snow .. So I did not do my normal walk around to check the car .. My mistake ! when the snow had blown off and melted we noticed fine scratches all over the car , when we returned and told the agent checking the car back in she stated they where aware of the damage already and not to worry about it , about a week later they are still holding my deposit and sent me a claims form wanting to claim it on my insurance. I will NEVER rent or recommend this company to anyone. Tina M. read more

Pleasant surprise! I used Hotwire to rent a car at Denver Airport and they put me with Sixt. I had never heard of Sixt before and when I read all the negative reviews, I was very afraid that a lot of the bad things most everyone else complained about would hit me - but it was all good so I thought that I would give one of the few good reviews - which they deserved. We got off the plane and immediately found the Shuttle bus which happened to be there at the terminal. We got on the bus and the very nice bus driver Mary welcomed us warmly. We were the only 2 people on the bus. Got to the office (which is an over sized trailer) and only had one person in line ahead of me. The nice man who took my info had a problem with the computer going down which added about 10 minutes to my check in time. He did try to up-sell insurance, full gas tank etc but I said no to all of it. Through Hotwire I was supposed to get a full size sedan like a Ford Fusion and the guy once again tried to up-sell me to a luxury SUV for about $28 a day more but I said no again. So he proceeded to upgrade me free of charge (because of the computer problem) to a C-class Mercedes which was an awesome car! They did put a $500 charge on my credit card to cover possible damages. When I turned in the car the nice lady who checked me in walked around the car and told me there was no damage so I was good to go. Waited about 5 minutes for the shuttle bus and rode it to the terminal. Other people on the bus said that when they came to Denver they had to wait about 40 minutes for the bus to pick them up so I guess we were just lucky perhaps. The $500 was credited back to my credit card within about 24 hours - so I can say that my Sixt experience was excellent. read more
