Dejai was great! Efficient, helpful and was happy to work with my schedule. Ill be going back to Ace because of her!

I booked my rental through Priceline and paid $337.98 upfront for a reservation that clearly stated unlimited miles and all taxes and fees included. When I arrived at Ace Car Rental, they told me my voucher was only worth $301.72, even though that's not what I paid. I did choose to add the prepaid fuel option and the fast-track service, so I expected those charges. However, the representative also tried to sell me insurance. I explained that I already have my own auto insurance and that my credit card provides rental car coverage. He then told me it was a state requirement to purchase their insurance. Since he made it sound mandatory, I reluctantly agreed. After researching it afterward, I found out that it is not a state requirement. I feel I was misled into buying coverage I didn't need. On top of that, I reserved a full-size sedan but was given a crossover instead. To make matters worse, I was charged additional airport fees, taxes, and other charges despite my Priceline reservation stating that all taxes and fees were included. Priceline says they sent Ace the full amount I paid, while Ace claims they didn't receive it. I don't know who's telling the truth, but I shouldn't have to pay the price for that disagreement. I chose Priceline because I expected they partnered with reputable rental companies. After this experience and reading so many similar reviews, it seems these kinds of issues happen far too often. I've rented from many different car rental companies over the years, and I've never had an experience like this. Between the misleading insurance claim, the unexpected extra charges, and not receiving the vehicle I reserved, this was by far the worst rental experience I've had. Be warned--you may end up paying much more than the advertised price. I've contacted both Priceline and Ace multiple times trying to get this resolved, and all I've gotten is the runaround. Each company points the finger at the other instead of taking responsibility or providing a clear explanation. As the customer, it's incredibly frustrating to be stuck in the middle with no resolution. read more

There's a high pitched whine in the lobby. I can't identify the source, maybe the motor on the sliding door or the fire alarm system. That's probably why they're blasting the TV. The super high ambient noise seems to be making the kids in here more shouty. The lights keep spontaneously turning off. I thought it was customers leaning on the switch by the door but no, the switch just spontaneously turns off. I just saw an employee come fiddle with it for a few seconds to get them to come back on. I just waited in the line for 45 minutes to be told I'd need to pay more than double what my reservation cost. It seems like they are going to double charge me. I guess I'll charge back the double charge. There are 55 customers here and only 3 clerks at the counter. I'm sure people are wondering why I don't just leave. The thing about a rental car is you're basically trapped. Without a car where am I going to go? read more

ACE Rent A Car - There's a really long line. - Car Rental Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

I prepaid for my rental car, but during pickup the agent added multiple extras and misrepresented them in a way that led me to believe they were included with the rental. When the total seemed unusually high, I specifically asked whether my prepaid reservation had gone through and was told it had not. The next day, I confirmed that the rental had already been paid for. Customer service explained that the additional charges were for an SUV upgrade, prepaid fuel, and a toll pass--none of which were clearly presented as optional purchases. I fully acknowledge that I should have reviewed the paperwork more carefully before signing. However, customers should be able to rely on honest and transparent explanations from rental agents. What happened felt less like customer service and more like taking advantage of a tired traveler. I reported the issue and was told the location manager would contact me, but I never received a response. The lack of accountability was just as disappointing as the misleading sales tactics. read more

I would NOT recommend Ace. The employees look like they hate their jobs. The lady who checked me out was very rude and not friendly. She was trying to pressure me into purchasing additional car insurance when I told her plenty of times NO. I had already purchased it when I booked. And she was still trying to pressure me and make me feel like I had to purchase additional car insurance for $25 a day. After checking out I didn't even know where to get the car, I had to ask around to help me find the car. The car itself was not clean. When I returned car back, they just told me to leave keys inside car and that's it. It's a very unorganized, unprofessional, uncomfortable experience renting a car from them. read more

It doesn't seem like they clean the cars. Would not recommend. A safety hazard. read more

ACE Rent A Car - Car Rental Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

We rented a car from ACE at LGA in early August. We requested a car seat for our 1 year old grandson. When we got to the airport, we were told we could choose among a half dozen dirty, broken child seats. We chose the least damaged one and asked them to install it. "We don't have wives. We don't have kids. We don't know how to install it, and besides, it's illegal for us to put the child seat in the car." I checked with a lawyer: that last statement is untrue. In the end, my wife had to carry our grandson on her lap for the 90-minute drive to Danbury, Connecticut. When we asked for compensation from the shoddy treatment we received from ACE, they offered us $30 (!). Please do yourself a favor: rent from someone else! read more

I rented a car from ACE Rent A Car at the Denver Airport this week, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. While the representative was assisting me, I overheard him having a side conversation with another representative about how they had increased some type of quota to 50 and how it was "bullshit." He then made a comment indicating that the increase was because of his "little heavy hitter." Shortly afterward, when he began assisting me, he asked whether I wanted to upgrade the vehicle for an additional charge. I declined the upgrade. He then told me that he would upgrade me anyway at no additional cost. I did not receive a receipt at the time of the rental. However, when I returned the vehicle, I received an emailed receipt showing a total that was significantly higher than the amount I had originally agreed to pay. I contacted customer service to dispute the charges and was told that someone from the Denver Airport location would contact me. A person who identified himself as Max called my fiancé's phone number, which was the second phone number listed on the reservation rather than the primary number, and left a voicemail. When I called the location back, the same representative answered. I asked him to explain the additional charges, and he responded rudely, "Didn't you hear the voicemail I left?" I explained that the voicemail did not adequately explain the charges and that I needed clarification because the final amount was higher than what I had originally agreed to. He repeatedly stated that all of the charges were valid and that there was nothing to discuss. I explained that I understood and agreed to the prepaid fuel charge and the charge for adding my fiancé as an additional driver. However, I specifically did not agree to the increased rental price, as it was higher than the price I had originally been quoted. His response was, "Well, there you go. You agreed to all the charges." I again explained that I did not agree to the increased rental price and began going through the individual charges with him. He rudely interrupted me and said, "You don't know how to do math, and the price is right." At that point, I asked for his last name. He refused to provide it. I then asked to speak with his supervisor. He told me that I could email her through the invoice email address. When I asked for his supervisor's name, he stated that her name was Kat. When I asked for her last name, he said that she could provide it to me when she contacted me. I also asked for the store's location or store number, and he stated that they did not have one and that the location was simply the Denver Airport ACE. The way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. I understand that legitimate additional charges can occur with a rental, but customers should be given a clear explanation of those charges and treated respectfully when they ask questions about their bill. Being told that I "don't know how to do math" when I was simply requesting an explanation of a higher-than-agreed-upon rental charge was extremely unprofessional. Based on this experience, I will never rent from ACE again, and I would strongly caution others to carefully review their rental agreement and final bill before leaving this location. I am requesting that the charges be reviewed and that I receive a clear explanation of why the rental price was higher than the amount I originally agreed to. read more

Avoid Ace Rent A Car at all costs. The customer service here is absolutely terrible. They refuse to let you leave without forcing additional purchases like insurance and other unnecessary products. As someone who has worked in the industry for over six years, I've never encountered such aggressive and unethical sales tactics. Their approach is incredibly malicious and unprofessional. I was so put off that I ended up canceling my reservation altogether. Save yourself the hassle and rent elsewhere! read more

I booked my rental through Priceline paid upfront for my reservation, had my own full coverage insurance as well as a sunpass (was told the pass would not work which is a lie). I was was charged daily for insurance and tolls. You will be charged a lot of additional FEES. Which came out to be more than the actual car rental. Please be very careful renting from Ace Denver International airport location. When addressing a problem they will just go through the motions and not actually help the customer. If I could give a zero or negative rating I would. read more

My husband booked a car with Ace for 5 days in early August. The price he booked was about $325, and when we picked up the car it somehow had changed to more than $800! I see from these reviews that this is not unusual for this company. My husband said the agents at the desk insisted on an extra insurance policy even though he obviously has driver's insurance. We did get a car seat for our son, which amounted to an extra $100 fee, even though we had to install it ourselves. Even with that charge, the prepaid tolls and the scammy mandatory extra insurance policy, I still don't understand how the cost of the reservation more than doubled. While the cost is the most upsetting thing about our experience, there is even more. We were waiting for pickup from the Denver airport for at least a half hour (along with many other frustrated Ace customers), while Hertz, Enterprise and all the other companies had multiple vans coming every minute. When the Ace van finally picked us up, the van was overpacked due to so many customers accumulating in the hot pickup lanes at the airport. Some people had to stand throughout the transport. Also, the transport from the airport to Ace took about 20 minutes! Once at Ace, the line took at least another 30 minutes, and the water fountains did not work. To top everything off, the outside of the car was very dirty. Rental cars are usually gleaming when you pick them up. I don't know how this place manages to stay in business and get away with such shamelessly deceptive business practices. read more

Serious savings to be had. ACE Rent a Car was just about the cheapest option we found for rentals near Denver International Airport. As such, they're located off the airport and require taking a free shuttle ride between there and the rental lot. We booked a compact SUV, the cheapest option available, and were given a Hyundai Venue. The car was reasonably comfortable, handled well, and the acceleration was punchy. We did run into one issue. Several hours after we got the car, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerted us about one of the tires being at low pressure (27 psi). I had to get that taken care of the next day. We might chalk that up to Denver's pothole-ridden roads, but losing so much air pressure in a day is not typical, so I feel that ACE should have caught the impending low pressure situation during the last maintenance check. Dropoff was very informal. The staff just instructed us to leave the car there. I went to the counter to see if we needed to check out, but they told us we were good. We never got an email wrapping things up, despite the staff saying that we would get one shortly. If you want a reasonably affordable rental without the hassle, and without much else, ACE is not a bad option. All things considered, I can see us renting from them again. read more

I was EXTREMELY hesitant after reading the reviews but they were bad for all of the rental companies at the Denver airport so I took a chance. My experience was great! I booked and paid for my car online. When I arrived, there was no line. I declined all the extras with no push back. I received the vehicle I reserved and I was in and out in 10 minutes. It's about a 10-15 minute shuttle ride to the rental company from the airport, which was actually nice because it's in the middle of nowhere, so you get to avoid the airport traffic. Rental return was simple and took all of 2 minutes. Overall good experience. read more

Worst experience i have ever had in my life at a rental, the man serving me was an absolute jerk and when he showed us our "mid sized suv" it was a Mitsubishi outlander, which if you go on mitsubishis website is classified as a compact suv, so we had a back and forth about this in which he was completely disrespectful and finally he offered me a Hyundai Tucson which was a lot bigger than the Mitsubishi much to his protest and dismay that it wasn't, although it was clear as day, if i could leave a 0 here i would. This man should be fired and go back to living his miserable life. 0/5 would never go and don't recommend at all. read more

I booked my rental through Ace website and declined the insurance since I have my own. When I got there, I was charged and additional 220.00 more than what I actually reserved the car for. I was charged for prepaid fuel and a bunch of other charges. I was also charged a waiver fee daily which I stated I have never had to do before when declining insurance. I was not given a choice and told I need to sign it or no car. Seeing the car was reserved a 1 1 /2 prior there was no way of getting another car that morning. When I returned the car I asked to speak to the Manager and he was very rude and told me since I signed it there was nothing they can do about it. I Began to tell him it was his employee that gave me no choice Pay or No car. Original employee was too busy on his phone and wouldn't even look and my confirmation just insisted that I pay waiver fee daily or no car. As for the manager he was no better and told me call customer service there nothing I can do for you Would never recommend renting a car from them again expect to pay a couple hundred more than your reservation says. BUYER BEWARE - Dishonest pricing and poor customer service I booked a car through Booking.com for my trip to Denver -- $120 total from Saturday to Wednesday. When I arrived at ACE Rent A Car, I was told my reserved vehicle was no longer available because I was "past my reservation time." Per the customer service representative replying to my complaint - I was 6 minutes late! I had provided my flight information in advance so they knew my arrival time, and even though I was at their facility within the 4-hour grace period (the shuttle took about 15 minutes and I waited another 30 minutes in line), they refused to honor my reservation. Instead, they said they'd "give me a discount" on a larger car -- but the total came out to $400, more than three times the original price. The so-called discount never appeared, and they added extra fees and a pre-paid gas charge they claimed would be cheaper (it wasn't). When I reached out afterward, ACE refused to make it right or refund the difference. This company does not honor their own reservations, misleads customers about pricing, and takes advantage of travelers after they've arrived with limited options. I recommend booking elsewhere -- the cheap upfront price isn't worth the frustration or the surprise charges. read more

Well. The shuttle every 10 minutes is a stretch, plan on 30. Then, plan to be in line an hour. From there, it was a good experience. Carolyn helped me at the desk. She was friendly and helpful. Yes, she did describe the insurance benefits to me, but didn't push me. My regular insurance is very good, so I passed. The cost would have been as the much as the car. My car was clean, for the most part. It wasn't washed, and they seem to have a water outage there. No worry. The inside of the car was clean and it worked well. Zero issues with the car. Returning the car was ok. I asked the girl that was checking in the car how she was and she just mumbled, "I'm here." Sad for her and I hope it gets better. She was the sole down side. Gives the price, the long wait to get the car was negligible. And, given the friendly and helpful staff to get the car, that wait felt ok. The shuttle ride is a trek, and each way the drivers were very nice. Tip them. I'll rent again! read more

Warning - do not use this rental. I am a travel professional. The return location is not the same place as pickup. They will charge an additional $25 for the shuttle at the end. When I dropped it off (at Fine Parking) I told to by a short, young gal with dark hair to leave the keys in the car and was good to go. So, I left the keys on the dash. Then a young man came out and asked if I needed service. I told him what the young lady instructed me and he also confirmed. They pointed to the shuttle and said that was where I needed to go. Now Ace is telling me no one found the keys and are charging me $450 for a replacement. What?! Now I see how they make their money. What a bunch of liars. I will never refer them to my customers!! Rented a full size SUV online for $400 for a week while in Denver. We were aware there would be fees. When we arrived, we were told that there was a new law REQUIRING AWD in the mountains and the fine for not having it was steep. So, he "upgraded" us to an AWD for this reason. Then, he told us the toll road fees would be, to start, at least $50 and then each camera at least $3 plus fees "and there are cameras really close together". So, the charge for using toll roads would be super expensive and told us we'd be better off with the toll package. Then, he advised us that our vehicle insurance would not protect us in any accident or damage because we'd be charged the rental fee per day until the car was fixed and that could take months. So, add that to the cost. When all was said and done with all these "requirements" to protect us because everything was worst case, we went from $400 to $1400. Come to find out, the tolls are not that high, they do not require AWD unless there is a lot of snow and an alert goes out before they require AWD or chains. So, it's not like they require it all the time or just instantly. The "full size "SUV" was a Dodge Durango which was not the size of the Ford Expedition it said originally. The girl next to us refused all of it and suddenly her rate skyrocketed because she was a "high risk" driver. She asked why, but they couldn't give her a justification. She was just told her rate increased. Stay away. This place is a scam company. read more
