    DON'T rent from here, I repeat, DO NOT RENT HERE. Don't even make a reservation. I had a reservation with Budget through Costco. I decided I did not need that rental, but they CHARGED ME ANYWAY! They charged me almost $500 for a rental I never used. They charged my credit card on file because I'm a Fastbreak member. If you look at the picture of the receipt, they claim I drove 100 miles for 3 days. I have a receipt from Enterprise (attached), which is who I rented from instead. I definitely drove more than 100 miles over 3 days. I wouldn't have been able to return a vehicle at 8am when my plane departed at 8:05am. Additionally, I didn't get this receipt until this (Monday) morning when I allegedly returned the car yesterday morning. They made sure I had left Denver before sending a receipt. Beware of this place. They are scammy! I'd rate them zero stars if I could. EDIT: In good faith, I tried calling Budget Customer Service at (800) 214-6094, which is the phone number my credit card company has. I had an option to press 1, 2, 3, or 4. None of those options worked and the automated system kept repeating itself. EDIT: Their social media team responded to a different review I wrote and asked me to email them. I did. The response was quick and said my information was forwarded to the appropriate department for a refund. That doesn't cut it. Luckily, I completed their customer satisfaction survey and the Operations Manager, Cody Wilson reached out to me. I explained the situation and he processed the immediate refund I requested. I'm done with Budget. I should not have to do all of this to get money back that shouldn't have been taken in the first place. Cody admitted that the employees should have voided the rental out instead of stealing my money.

My wait was long; upwards of an hour after arriving by shuttle. The staff member was friendly, though I feel like the rates were all over the place. I also feel like they blast the music in the lobby so you can't hear with they're saying when they go over the rates. The electronic pad for signing didn't work so I guess I didn't need to really sign for anything. The most important point to ponder is: the car. The car, with all its 52K miles, is like new on the inside, well maintained, and clean, clean, clean. Because of this I jumped from two to three stars. The rates are a bit much, but the car is impressively good. Friendly staff, just not enough of them.

Went to the counter- not sure what the agents have to do but it's a very long process with lots of key clicks. I asked the agent to confirm we had an AWD and he confirmed. Went to the vehicle and of course it wasn't. Stood back in line for another 10+ minutes and got a different agent. She said they can't guarantee AWD- even if they have a listing for such that you paid extra for (dont list as an option if you don't actually have). So she swapped us to another vehicle and said she'd comp the gas. When I returned the vehicle- they charged me for gas. So I waited in line again, and had to re-explain to another agent why I was given the discount. So double-check your statement for misleading billing.

    Rented a full size SUV online for $400 for a week while in Denver. We were aware there would be…read morefees. When we arrived, we were told that there was a new law REQUIRING AWD in the mountains and the fine for not having it was steep. So, he "upgraded" us to an AWD for this reason. Then, he told us the toll road fees would be, to start, at least $50 and then each camera at least $3 plus fees "and there are cameras really close together". So, the charge for using toll roads would be super expensive and told us we'd be better off with the toll package. Then, he advised us that our vehicle insurance would not protect us in any accident or damage because we'd be charged the rental fee per day until the car was fixed and that could take months. So, add that to the cost. When all was said and done with all these "requirements" to protect us because everything was worst case, we went from $400 to $1400. Come to find out, the tolls are not that high, they do not require AWD unless there is a lot of snow and an alert goes out before they require AWD or chains. So, it's not like they require it all the time or just instantly. The "full size "SUV" was a Dodge Durango which was not the size of the Ford Expedition it said originally. The girl next to us refused all of it and suddenly her rate skyrocketed because she was a "high risk" driver. She asked why, but they couldn't give her a justification. She was just told her rate increased. Stay away. This place is a scam company.

As is typical for low cost budget car agencies, the rep also tried to upsell for "basic" coverage, which is not even considered insurance but a predatory sales tactic so... we politely declined. We returned the car 25 min late and they didn't honor the supposed half hour grace period. Predatory company. The car itself was in decent condition and had nice features, and the counter was speedier/friendlier than most however I would think twice before renting from this company again.

By that point, I was already late for my event and had no choice but to accept it, as waiting any longer was not an option. This experience was extremely disappointing. When customers make reservations with specific arrival times and pay additional fees for expedited service, those commitments should be honored. This location was clearly unprepared and did not deliver the service promised. I fully intend to dispute the additional Ready Service fee if it is not refunded. Based on this experience, I will not rent from this location again.
