My fiancé and I enjoy going to Six Points Pub for drinks and burgers. They have a great selection of beers and I love their burgers! Excellent food. Superb beer menu. But, the bartender named Kenny is the rudest service person I've ever met. He all by refused to answer questions about the happy hour menu. He told me he "doesn't like to talk". I will never let this man serve me again. If I ever return to Six Points and he's behind the bar, I will promptly leave. This place is a true neighborhood pub. Wish more places like this existed. Not pretentious. Just a good selection of beer, decent cocktails, food is satisfying at a reasonable price. I recommend the wings and the burgers. Ambience is chill - sit outside in nice weather or inside, and you'll be joined by a wide collection of other folks. Young. Old. Larger groups, smaller groups. Love this place! So glad there is a local spot in Bloomfield Center where you can just hang out with friends. Great atmosphere, comfortable and not too loud. They have great food, service, and prices. They also have a full sit down bar which is rare in BC. So many good appetizers. I've been excited to try this place for a while, as they've been under construction for a long time. We Came for a drink and lunch on a Saturday afternoon (during Covid) so we sat outside. They had plenty of seating and shade, which was nice. The menu is pretty simple bar food. I thought the prices were high for the quality. We ordered a grilled cheese on Texas toast and I asked to sub sweet potato fries for chips ($2 up charge) but we got a full side of $7 sweet potato fries.....annoying but whatever. The food was mediocre. Super disappointing. Service was just okay, seemed like there was only one waitress working (but, again, Covid...have to cut everyone some slack). They have a good craft beer selection but, again, $8 for a pint of Kane seems high to me compared to prices at other bars in the area. No food or drink specials on Saturdays which could lend itself to plenty of brunch or dri special. I don't know what the inside area looks like but I'd be willing to give it another try for drinks once we can go indoors. I probably wouldn't eat here again, though. Hopefully they create some Sort of happy hour specials in the future to keep up with other bars in the area. I'll give it three stars for doing an okay job during this lousy Covid time. My favorite spot in Bloomfield, hands down! Perfect place to grab a drink alone or with friends (I've had both the craft beers and cocktails - both are great) or have dinner with family. Tons of outdoor dining during COVID which is a huge plus for me. Everything is well-priced, and the food is fresh and locally sourced...definitely a step above typical bar food. As a pescatarian, I especially appreciate all of the vegetarian and seafood options (Impossible burger/nachos!), but all of the food I've had is very good! I'm there 3-4 nights per week, and the service is wonderful and attentive. If you live nearby, you have to check this place out! read more

Went for my bday. I was disappointed by the service. I had to keep chasing down my waiter and my order was cold and wrong. I ordered the Impossible burger with chili cheese fries. When the order came my burger was missing the lettuce and fries came plain. The food was cold and I to track waiter down about fries. He didn't even know our order came out and acted like he was doing a favor to not charge for the chili and cheese. The burger bun was just a regular bun that was dry and stale. I had vodka and water for drinks and let's just say I had water and not a taste of vodka at all. My friends ordered quite a few different shrimp dishes and were sick after we got home. The bill was close to 200 bucks and I am glad my friends paid for my birthday. The only reason I give 3 stars is the atmosphere was enjoyable. Unfortunately my 2 visits as of recent to this establishment were very disappointing. Had I written a review a year ago when they opened it would have been stellar in comparison. Great attentive staff, outgoing knowledgeable bartender on most nights and tasty food.. and open later I believe. On my most recent visit I was made to feel like I was intruding on bartender Kenny who appeared to be miserable and beyond rude to myself as well as few other customers there..(at 1130 pm ) Music and TVs were abruptly turned off and I was told I could order a drink before last call and no food was available even though my prior visits were late as well the bartender made an effort to offer chips or even wings if kitchen could. Many nights as an industry worker I could count on a drink and always being open (til2) on my way home. Not so much these days. Seems like it's gone down hill. Was excited to have this close by but the lack of consistency in hours staff food and drinks has me going elsewhere late night. Dry crowd when there is one.
