We ordered Triple Delight, Orange Chicken, and Wonton Soup. The WS was very good. There were no surprises or disappointments. The OC was good, but much spicier than the average OC dish. If you like spicy food without having to ask for extra spice, this is the dish for you. If you like a little spice or none at all, you need to state so. Unfortunately, the TD was very bland and barely had any sauce. I was expecting it to be like the average - enough sauce to cover and taste. I usually don't like to add soy sauce, but it was necessary. It helped a little, but that wasn't exactly the flavor I was going for. Overall, I give it three stars due to the TD, but I'd prefer 3.5. We used to frequent this place about a year ago or so, and we were never disappointed. Our usual orders were TD, OC, General Tso, Sesame Chicken, Beef-Fried Rice, and Wonton Soup. They were delicious. For this order, I think the lack of sauce for the TD is an isolated issue that does not reflect their food overall. I look forward to trying again soon. read more

Maybe I caught these guys on a bad day considering the other good reviews from people I respect. The service was good but the ambience was kind of cold for my liking. In the end it was the sushi that cause the "2" score though. Rice if the key to sushi and this rice was 50% crunchy and not ready to be served. It was also not sticky enough so each piece fell apart immediately (see pic of rice fallout in the soy sauce bowl). Also, the size consistency of each roll piece was totally off with some pieces being huge and others tiny. The other weird thing was the opening salad. the pieces that you could salvage from the brown dressing (again...see pic) that it was drowning in were quite bitter. The General Tso's was pretty ho hum. Standard breading and sauce out of a can. I was not terribly happy with this place at all. I may give it another try because of my friend's reviews of this place but I do not have high hopes. read more

We had soup, dumplings, and fried wontons here last night. They were all very good. I was frustrated by the "time" my order would be done on the Yelp app. I waited until the time quoted and when I picked up the food it was cold. It had obvious been sitting for 15 minutes before I got there. The service person told me it had just come out. Hit or miss. Mostly miss. This take applies to quality and quantity of the food. You never know what or how much you're going to get. In general, the food generally lacks flavor - very bland. Of the few dishes that I've tried, two need mentioning. First, the Wonton Soup is pretty good, especially with some chili flakes, black pepper, or white pepper. Second, the Singapore Mei Fun is simply lacking in every way. My order of the Singapore noodles had no egg, char siu, chicken, soy or oyster sauce, or curry powder. It was just unseasoned rice noodles and a few vegetables with, surprisingly, a decent amount of shrimp. On a plus side, it is located in a shopping center, so it has a parking lot. read more

We were staying at the hotel right around the corner and were looking for something that didn't come out of a Sysco warehouse (not that there is anything wrong with that). We gave Siu's a try ordering the sashimi and sushi deluxe combo. When we got back to our hotel I was shocked to find the fish was ice cold. I started to put it into the microwave to cook it when my wife suddenly yelled "what the heck are you doing?" I said "I was going to cook the fish, they left it raw." "You dumb hick" she said, "it's supposed to be raw". I said, "you've gotta be kidding, who eats fish raw except for sharks and killer whales?" She said, "you should try it as is, it looks really good to me!" Ok reluctantly I tried it. Oh my gosh! I had no idea raw fish would be so good. Soft and buttery delicious. I have no idea what kind of fish we ate but the Mrs said one looked like Aha Tuna or something like that. And another fish looked like salmon. Maybe the cook who doesn't actually cook anything can put name labels on the fish so us hicks know what we are eating. Just a wild thought here. Terrible experience at this restaurant. The waitress was extremely rude, openly discussing and complaining about what we were ordering with her colleagues--loud enough for us to hear every word. No attempt to be discreet, just unprofessional and disrespectful. Honestly not sure how they expect to stay in business treating customers this way. We were the only ones there during lunch (12:00 pm to 12:35 pm), with no other customers in sight--and now I understand why. Service deserves -5 stars. Definitely won't be coming back. Perhaps it was because it was the end of the night but we had an awful meal at Siu's this past Tuesday. We got two different Sushi Rolls and threw them out after trying a piece. The Won Ton soup was very salty though the dumplings were good. Our order or dumplings was good. The chicken lo mein was fine. I've been patronizing Siu's for some years now. Their sushi offerings are unique and tasty! I normally get the "Roll of the Year" or their "Maryland Roll." Both rolls have large servings of seafood within the roll and both are garnished with seafood on top. Siu's has "traditional" Asian-inspired dishes as well. The name of the chicken dish that I tried escapes me, but it was good. Inside is rather small, and Siu's gets really busy for lunch, so you may not be able to grab a seat. read more

Most places in the dmvs Chinese food quite frankly taste like cardboard in most places around here or is too greasy and oily or just simply lacking flavor but not Siu's the food is fresh flavorful fun and creative and is the closest thing to the chinese food back home in new york, today i had moo shu vegetable(s) and the shrimp roll! Our first time here and it didn't start well. My wife was craving Chicken Satay which is on this menu but when ordering we were told that they were out of Chicken Satay so, my wife tried ordering Fried Dumplings and she was told that they were out of Dumplings also. WTF??? Come on, who is doing your ordering??? We opted for the Szechuan Chicken and General Tso Chicken. Both were tasty. Nothing better than anyone elses but good. Since I live out of state, I was unable to take my mom out for Mother's Day. And if you've seen their house, trust me, my sisters and I are trying to not have "stuff" including flowers or plants delivered as they do NOT throw anything away. If you are a florist in the MD area, let me know there are cases and all those green foam blocks or styrofoam boxes. Yet, cooking meals is something all moms would like to take a break from, I remembered this place since when I visited them in March, this was one of the restaurants that deliver. This place is small though has seating. I believe the notice said dine-in option is now fully open as of 5/7/21 but you can order take-out, curbside pick-up and delivery via GrubHub. Ordering over $12 could give you free delivery within a 3-mile radius though they may choose not to deliver to certain areas. In hindsight, I think if I had contacted the restaurant directly, the delivery fee would have been waived but I clicked on the yelp button Ordered online though sort of limits what is on the online menu. I ended up ordering the beef chow fun which is a noodle my dad seems to like since easier to chew, the moo shu chicken which came with four pancakes, and the pork and vegetables (large) since hey, they probably should eat some vegetables, it's Mother's Day after all. At the time, estimated time said 45-55 mins. The order was relatively easy to place except my internet crashed when I was placing the order so the initial appetizer of fried tofu was completely forgotten. I got a notification that the food order was received and working and food should arrive between 4:10-4:30 pm. , Wanting to make sure my mom was going to be available since it would be contactless delivery with leaving at the door I texted her (3:15 pm). I never received notice that food was delivered, but then again they rang the doorbell and left food hanging at the outside door handle. It was before 3:54 pm so they made great time and my mom was happy for a warm meal. She liked the moo shu chicken and ate one pancake wrap since hungry and then waited for my dad's schedule and he had two while she ate the last one. She remembered I said there was going to be noodles but she said the containers looked the same and some had the spring onion and celery at the top of each so she assumed it was the same order (sometimes two orders are made if they want the same thing). So they also had the pork and vegetables. The vegetables were broccoli, water chestnut, baby corn. The menu didn't say what the vegetables were and I was hoping for maybe bok choy but this makes sense. Seems like most Chinese restaurants cook their vegetables where it is still crisp and hard, to keep most of the nutrients, but my dad has dental issues and my mom ended up having to cut pieces much smaller for the meat and veggies though the veggies were mainly for her since she's limited to certain foods too. She did say there were two containers of rice. She was wondering about the spring rolls and soup but those are usually the lunch deals that must not have been on the menu. Those lunch deals are M-Fri until 3 pm. That's what I had ordered to pickup when there last. If you are in the area and plan to pickup, consider the lunch deals. No chopsticks provided but plastic fork. There was also the sauce for the pancakes. For my parents' situation, this was very convenient. There's enough on the menu for variety. Though they don't know I'm ordering from afar, it'd be super if they had written on the bag what the items inside so she wouldn't have left the noodle dish for the next day. Sorry To Rain on The Parade: I could tell by their presentation and reviews that this is a quality bistro. My food would have been great, perhaps if it was better cooked. I ordered the Chicken Thai Fried Rice. It Did taste Good, but I was doubled over with intestinal cramps and bloating a few hours after eating, restless sleep, and now here I am the morning after writing this review, and my stomach is still really messed up. There is only one reason poultry will affect the stomach this way, and Every food establishment knows it, so in my opinion, This Shouldn't Have Happened. This business makes tasty food with a variety of options, and I wouldn't call this a 'bad' review, but when it pertains to food safety, that isn't something I can just keep to myself. I thought the chicken looked barely-cooked when I first opened it, but didn't think anything of it. Now I wish I had followed my instincts. Highlight: Wonton soup. Slightly salty but very good. The crab wontons where fried to perfection and the cream cheese in it was a nice meaty texture but not too meaty. You could also see the crab in it. The sauce that came with the goyza. Delicious! Flavorful, spicy with a good kick without being overpowering. Lowlight: Pepper beef. It was more like 1/2 of a sautéed onion, peppers and a side of beef. Not nearly enough and not enough spice or flavor. It was overwhelmingly oniony. The goyza were a mushy texture in the middle and without the sauce really lacked flavor. The meh: The egg drop soup left a funny after taste but wasn't bad. This place has friendly and efficient service. The menu is extensive with both Chinese and Japanese options. My friend and I both ordered the two (select) sushi rolls special for $9.00. California rolls are $5.00 each, so basically you save a buck. No miso soup like other places such as IKKO offer for the same or cheaper price. Rolls were good, but nothing special. This was a favorite lunch spot for me but there is only so much bad service I can take before I have to stop giving them my business. I've been coming here for years, giving them my business weekly. They've never been nice to me. I always just excused it as a cultural thing, but I've witnessed them nicer to others and I can't sit back. I've always been very friendly, nice and a loyal customer. Most recently, I placed an order to go and was charged more than I had been in the past for the exact same order. So when I asked the employee on the phone if prices had gone up, she loudly talked over me, dismissed everything I said and treated me like an idiot. This review is ONLY based on my food because I got my order via Uber Eats. The Crab Rangoon was good. I was really impressed with the portion. I got a good amount. The Goddess Roll was incredible! The perfect amount of spice. The presentation was still very nice considering it was a delivery order. The Vegetable Lo Mein was just alright to me. It didn't have as much flavor as I would've liked. Maybe I should've got it with chicken or beef? Next time! I'd like to specifically point out the packaging for my order. I loved how it came in a SEALED UP bag. It definitely gave me comfort that I know my food hasn't been messed with. It had my name on it too. Okay yeah duh, I know!
