Came here for lunch once and thought their lunch specials were a great deal. I got the 2-chili pepper *"thai spicy* green curry and it was both sweet and a great depth of spice. I had thai iced tea which helped to take away some of that spiciness. I may ask for less sugar or half n half next time. It's a cute little place. I worry about the restaurants in this shopping center because it's so dead (and doesn't face the main road). Wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more

They never pick up their phone! You may have to stay the course and hear ringing for a few minutes before anyone will pick up. Pick-up for 3 entrees took just 15 minutes. The food is on par with typical Thai food. Lunch special runs at $7.50 with an "appetizer" which is literally one piece of fried roll or two small dumplings or 3 pieces of tofu. read more

My family and I have been ordering from Siriwan Thai for years now. Recently, we've been extremely disappointed regarding the quality of food and customer service. I ordered fried rice and emphasized that I did not want eggs due to an egg allergy, however, I received eggs anyways. Furthermore, my drunken noodles were burnt and dry. I can tell that Siriwan changed its seafood vendor as well. The shrimp and fried fish were odd in texture and flavorless. It was my first time and every food was terrible. I togo pad sewoon, seafood ka pow, thai fried rice. Seafood ka pow was like a kids meal size and pad sewoon and thai fried rice was bland and it was super salty and greasy. I was pretty embarrassed to present the food to my friend. New chef? We are regulars and always order the PadThai and Tom Yum soup. We ordered carry out today and the food tasted completely different and awful. The Tom Yum soup was definitely watered down and they didn't even try to hide it. At least add some salt or something. There really is no Thai restaurant near southern Columbia, so we drove all the way to this little strip mall in sort of a remote area. The only other option is really Thai in Laurel. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and my wife ordered the Pad Thai. The food is good, though a bit salty. The prices are very low compared to other Thai restaurants. The decor is a bit odd...a lot of portable fans...not sure why. Maybe they don't like to use the A/C in the summer? I would go back but my wife said she would not. read more

The straw that broke the camel's back, as they say. We had become regulars after finding this little hidden place over a year ago. Decent prices, good food, good service-what's not to like. Now we've had a small disappointment with their (defrosted) desserts before, but nothing like today. Our usual mixed veggies dish had very old green beans in it, which is already very bad, but their reaction to our bringing it to their attention was worse. They basically said it wasn't their fault we just didn't like it and wouldn't do a refund or anything! There were BROWN spots all over some of them. This is a deal breaker, Siriwan. I'm not serving food that can possibly make my family sick. Hope that $12.95 was worth losing more business. read more

This is the best Thai food we've had, and we've been to many restaurants. Now, I can see how this place wouldn't be everyone's favorite because it is not greasy or overly sweet. If you are looking for MSG-laden sugary and oily food, this is not your place. We love the simplicity and healthiness of the dishes - clean and wholesome food. Also, they offer brown rice as an option which makes this place a true winner. The meats and seafood are consistently high quality (white meat chicken, fresh and non-fishy shrimp). For my good-bye party I literally ordered almost everyt dish on the menu to share with my family, and I called a day ahead to give this tiny dive-thai place a heads up. They were gracious and had my food prepared on time the next day- over 30 dishes! ( and they threw in some free thai teas and mango+ sticky rice ( maybe they recognized me from all the other times I came in, but thank you!!) Of course, the service might not be great, but its mainly a take out joint and you gotta take it for what it is Kevin P, you big snob. Compared to Thai Phoon, Tara Thai, Ruan Thai, and all the other thai places I've frequented, this place really packs in the flavor, spice, and will change anything they can to accommodate your needs. You can see the cooks in the back with hats and hairnets,, which i appreciate, and again, the food is fresh and oh so flavorful. I went for lunch today. I was the only customer. The food took a reasonable amount of time considering I'm pretty sure that they started from scratch when I ordered. The waiter was fine. The inside of the restaurant was pretty nice. The lunch special price was 7.50 including a spring roll. Considering the size of the spring roll, I'm surprised they don't give you two, and the roll itself wasn't very fresh. Still, I considered it a free add on to my main course, so Im not complaining. The main course was very good, and the portion size was right for a lunch special. Overall I am pleased and I will go again. read more

Had take out from this place last night. It was close by and was highly rated. This was not my experience. For Thai food, it was not very tasty. We ordered drunken noodles with chicken, beef and shrimp (3 separate orders), the tom ka kai soup, fried wontons, and thai fried rice, and sticky rice with mango. None of the dishes had good flavor. It was no where near the good flavors I expect from Thai food. The drunken noodles tasted of burnt food. The mango was over ripe and about a day away from going bad. As can be seen by the very mixed Yelp reviews, the quality here is inconsistent. When they first opened, I wrote a glowing review, but I have now had such mixed results, I don't plan on returning. Excellent one night, greasy and/or flavorless a week later, than excellent again on another visit. Got a coupon in the mail a few weeks ago so I decided to try it out for carry out. The first time I went I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and it was delicious. I ordered it again today and am very disappointed. The noodles are completely over cooked to the point that it is mushy. The noodles also lack a lot of flavor and are not spicy at all. Good thing I asked for an order of fish sauce and I have siracha at home. Perhaps the chef was in a hurry because I put it my order an hour before close. Was not going to hold a grudge against this place until halfway through my meal I noticed a small piece of foil in my food. I may give this place one more chance but I am not in a hurry to return. My order for takeout was not ready when I arrived. The fried rice is probably the most greasy I have ever eaten from a Thai restaurant, and this takes like cilantro instead of basil. Today I placed a large order for my office. Picked up the food and returned to the office. When I opened my green curry, there was a dead roach (yes, with two legs) in the sauce. We all decided to toss ALL the food and ordered elsewhere. Called the restaurant and they were apologetic; they offered to refund my card in two days.
