We also got the peel and eat shrimp. We're used to seeing large servings of peel and eat shrimp. On this, we got 8. Sort of disappointing. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because of the food. If I could give no star I would. First time here, we walked in and no greeting. They just stared at us until we asked if we could order. For some reason the manager or shift lead at the time decided to make a snarky reply to a question I didn't even ask her. Looking for an inexpensive lunch option in Bluffton before shopping at Tanger. Found this place. Really glad we did. Great little find. We got 2 different things. My friend got the veggie wrap. She loved it. I got the corn beef sandwich. Pretty good too. We both got the homemade potato salad. Again very good. Only complaint is there was not enough of the potato salad. I would have liked a larger scoop. It is one of those ice cream type scoops. So everyone gets the same small amount. Maybe that's why it's an extra $1 for it. Good sandwich. Good place to eat. The Sippin' Cow is our favorite place in Bluffton. The staff is super friendly and the food is consistently good. For breakfast I like the omelettes and the Heftner bagel. At lunch time I'm a sucker for the tarragon chicken salad and the BLT. Check 'em out! read more

Sippin cow used to be located on Route 46 heading into the town of Bluffton. They have moved to the Promenade area. Great location!!! Outdoor seating as well as screened in seating and of course Inside with the A/C seating... Kind of a local Breakfast/Lunch location. Very casual atmosphere. Walk in place your order, grab a mug, self service on the coffee... and sit. Food comes up pretty fast. I had a cheese omelette with bacon and a side of fruit... it could've have come with toast, grits, potatoes... but I'm cutting carbs... my husband had eggs with sausage and toast. $19.00 for the two of us with unlimited coffee. Heck to the yeah for this Southern girl! My boyfriend got another recommended item (the burrito) and he DEVOURED it. The coffee is serve yourself - we got the pecan which was just how pecan coffee should taste - and we sat out on the porch which was fun and homey. In fact we sat there for a long time just watching the locals and tourists come and go, some in golf carts. It felt like we were part of the Bluffton fabric. Her employees soon become your friends...April is always helpful; and she adds a special light to the place that's all her own. You just don't find places like this anymore in Bluffton or on the island. Some exist that may be similar, but they prevent you from coming back more than a few times a month because of the prices. So happy we found this cafe. It's tucked away and worth seeking out for breakfast. Their Covid precautions are outstanding, with plenty of well-spaced tables outdoors. Ordering is simple: scan the QR code taped to the table to see the full menu on your phone. A masked waitperson comes to the table to take your order and returns with your meal quickly and safely packaged in disposable containers. Their menu included a full breakfast (eggs, toast, hashbrowns or grits, AND coffee) for one low price. Paying the tab is easy: scan the QR code on the receipt to complete the touchless payment. My niece was visiting and I wanted to take her for brunch. She has celiac disease which makes me very nervous to take her to any restaurant. After reading reviews I decided we'd go to Sippin Cow. They were so accommodating and didn't blink when she ordered a sandwich and 1/2 stack of pancakes...all gluten free. I love Sippin Cow. It's in old town Bluffton. I eat here every weekend and bring my dog . They are very dog friendly with outdoor seating . There's parking on the Promenade as well as surrounding streets. The menu has a good selection of salads, soups, and sandwiches plus daily specials. They also have breakfast all day. Then you get your drinks and find a place to sit, inside or outside (yes, dogs are welcomed outside and they even have a big water bowl set out) It's not a place that has your typical servers, the server will bring your food that's it. You grab your own drinks/refills and clean up after yourself. I like it like that because you can be at your own pace. The staff is all friendly and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. We stopped here on the way through from Hilton Head. The food is very good and very quick. You order at the counter and find your spot. Lots of seating options for groups large and small. We had the BEST experience here during our visit to Bluffton. We ate breakfast one morning here and the coffee and food were great! It's got an eclectic vibe and homey feel! Everything was made to order. Our server noticed my little guy wasn't eating breakfast and asked why. We told her he has some pretty severe food allergies. She told us she would talk with the chef and see if there was anything she could do. Well, not two minutes later but the chef (owner?) came directly to our table to review our options. We didn't actually need any breakfast that morning but we asked if we could order some allergy friendly options the next day and she assured us we could. She reviewed everything with us and was extremely thorough. If you know about food allergies you know how important and often times, rare, that can be. It was so amazing. We returned the next day and she made our little guy a delicious plate of pancakes with none of his allergens (milk, eggs, nuts) and they were delicious (I had to steal a piece). So, not only is the food great but you can tell that this business takes their care of guests seriously. I cannot thank this place enough for making our day and visit complete! Who's on First at the Sippin Cow? With locally owned cafes with healthy options being few and far between, it's to Bluffton's credit that Sippin Cow is an option. Sippin Cow offers a plant based menu as well as a regular menu for it's patrons. The entrees are reasonably priced, and there are a number of options to choose from. The problem, however, is that there is a communication problem between the person who prints the daily specials plant based menu and the chef who prepares these specials. My point being that twice now I've attempted to order a plant based soup that was a daily special and was told that the cafe was out of that item. I visited the cafe for the first time several months ago, and again this past Friday. At this point I'm not interested in returning. On both occasions I placed my order between 11:30 am and 12 pm. On the second occasion, I was informed by my waitress that not only was the item not available, but there were no ingredients to make the pumpkin coconut milk soup in the kitchen. She stated this information and didn't feel compelled to apologize. Indeed, it was clear that it wasn't a big deal from her perspective. Maybe this type of thing happens often enough that it's become the norm. I don't know, and I don't care to find out. So, the next time one of my friends suggests dining at the Sippin Cow, I'll take a pass. read more

My girlfriend is complicated to feed. She's got Hashimoto's so we always have to do a little more research around eating time. Coming from NYC we didn't know what to expect really, but when we got here instantly Christy became my girls best friend.
