I reached out to Sinyan's with an idea to create a Halloween costume inspired by Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, except a more suave modern human vibe. I purchased a cheap suit from Amazon that looked sort of like a burlap sack and envisioned the suit with hand stitching like the character from the movie. I wasn't expecting to be able to pull off the glow, which he is famous for in the movie. But working with the designers at Sinyan's, we were able to figure it out. I brought AI generated designs and specifications (meticulous to some degree) to the team and they were able to tailor the suit, dye it with glowing paint and do the stitching according to my designs. They did it quickly and at a reasonable price for something that is perhaps beyond the norm of their usual business. Yassmin, the owner, is pleasant and listened to my concerns and requests. I wanted alterations for Mother of Groom dress. She helped me decide between two dresses. She hemmed it and removed lining to make it lighter for a summer wedding. (Her idea) I thought her price was reasonable. The only negative is I left a message on yelp with no response. I called the number on website and mailbox full. I had to go to her shop that is close to my home and luckily she was in her shop. She does the fitting in her shop and the sewing area is on another floor in the building. I made a an appt for the consultation. On day of consultation appt, she was not in shop. So, had to ring the intercom door bell and she took about 10 minutes to come down. The second time for the fitting appt, she was not in shop again, and had to call her to let her know i was there. I waited for 5 minutes. Parking is limited mid day. Overall, I recommend her for the tailoring work, and consultation. Time management need working on. The best place ever! They transformed my dress for my wedding . First off my original alternator quit on me month before my wedding and they fit me in! , Also thee place I originally got my dress from messed up my size... the dress kinda buckled in the back. When I say they completely fixed my dress and made it fix perfectly.... It was insane. Like they are magicians here. I live an hour away and commuted each time and I can tell you it's worth it. You'll never have to worry about a messed up alteration again. 10/10. I will say it was pricey however for all they did for my dress Its well worth it. read more

I brought my dress in for my nieces sweet 16 event and she did an amazing job. I was stuck on not changing my dress & she made it work. The dress was about 4 inches too small causing it to not zip all the way. The back already had a similar design so she put her mind to work and it fit perfectly. I asked them to tailor three suits. One of the suits had a patch cut out on the inside, which I also asked them to fix. They tailored and fixed to perfection. There is no sign it was fixed. This place is a little pricey, but you will be paying for quality work. read more

A week ago I inquired looking to get some help with my wedding dress. I had ordered it online and needed some extremely last minute alterations. I came in and Daisy was extremely helpful. She called Yassin for some extra help. Both were extremely lovely and eager to help. As a stressed bride, I could not be more thankful for them to help me so last minute. Turnaround was about a week which is spectacular. I got my dress in perfect time. I will definitely be back for any future alterations and recommend them to anyone looking for a place. I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed and the last dress I needed altered was my wedding dress a decade ago so I needed to find a new place. I saw some decent reviews and decided to try this place as it was convenient and on my commute route. This space is currently in the creative workspace by Refuel Cafe. It's easiest reached by going down the side from the front of the building and not in the back with the larger parking lot. The owner was very nice and made me feel comfortable as she pinned everything and suggested a slightly longer length in the back which was beautiful. She gave me a quote for $85 and said I could pick it up in 2 weeks. I returned 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time and she told me it wasn't ready. I had a few days to spare, so I said I'd come back the same time the next day. When I came back, there were water marks left from how she steamed it right in the front middle of the dress. She said she'd fix it and so I came back 3 days after it was supposed to be originally ready and it was hemmed and the water mark was gone, but it was very wet. I was thankfully able to get it to dry at home for 15 hours before I needed to wear it. I got a lot of compliments but it was intensely frustrating to have so many issues with reliability. She did give me a $10 discount for the hassle. I'd consider trying this place again with a lot of wiggle room before the event as I believe in second chances. read more

She did an amazing job with my wedding dress! The alterations were perfect and fairly priced, and she was so kind. I would come here again.

First off, I would like to say that the alteration of my bridemaid dress itself was great, it's just everything else that led to a one star review. The first appointment was overall ok. I arrived about 15 minutes early to my initial appointment, and when I arrived there were two appointments ahead of me, no big deal. Soon though, I discovered my appointment would be pushed back because the other two appointments weren't going to be done in time. I really didn't mind waiting an additional 10-15 minutes past my appointment time, but then I grew frustrated. My initial appointment ended up happening 45 minutes after the appointment time. At the end, she scheduled my appointment to pick up my bridesmaid dress, Wednesday, April 23 at 10:30am. Cut to this appointment - I arrive exactly at 10:30am to a note on the door saying that she was upstairs in her sewing room and to call, so no problem, I called her. She then told me she was 10-15 minutes away. Ok, that's fine I guess... 20 minutes goes by and she isn't there, so I call again, and she says she's 4 minutes away. I understand that there was some sort of circumstance out of her control, that's fine, she just needed to tell me and reschedule. Then her 11am appointment arrives and we're all standing outside. She arrives at about 11am. I try on my dress, again, the tailor work itself was great. She offered me a $25 credit for the next time I do business there, but I declined it. I leave and she texts me to apologize again, and I told her that's all she needed to do originally - as soon as the circumstance where she couldn't keep my original appointment popped up, she should've and could have called or texted me to let me know and I would have happily rescheduled. Again, the alteration and Sinyan herself were both great, it's just the wasting of my time and lack of communication about it that really made me frustrated. I got my much more complicated wedding dress altered at Eltsa Bridal in Bellevue a few years ago, and I had many rounds of appointments, each one I was in and out of there within 15-20 minutes. Even though it's farther from where I live now, my time won't be wasted once I'm there, so I'll go back to Eltsa Bridal for future tailoring needs. read more

I came to Sinyan's after my pants for my wedding weren't going to be delivered in time (last minute elopement out of state) and she was able to get me in same day as I bought my pants from a local retail store and hemmed/tailored my pants perfectly within 4 days before we were leaving. I highly recommend Sinyan's alterations for good customer service and for completing my outfit when promised. Yassin was able to alter a very long full sequins jumpsuit for an upcoming special occasion, so it would be the perfect length which is hard to do. Finding someone who can do something so intricate and do it well is a treasure. I will definitely bring her other items as needed. read more
