THE WORST TAILORING JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN! We asked her to widen the waistband of my shorts by an inch. Not only did the woman mess them up the first time after having them for two weeks, my second time picking them up they were even worst. Dropped off a dress that needed a straightforward hem and 2 tops that just had broken straps that needed reattaching. It should've been done a couple of days but nobody from the establishment called me to let me know they were done. I was hoping to get them in time for a wedding I was going to at the end of the month which is a reasonable expectation since I left them there at least 2 weeks prior to the event and I was told I would get them at least a week before I needed them. But no one ever called me! So I assumed since no one got in touch with me that they were running behind and it was wedding season so I purchased another dress. But after a month of waiting, I thought this was getting kind of silly. Still no one called. So I just decided to call myself and asked if my garments were done and she said they were - she had just forgotten to call me and just laughed it off. Then when I came to pick up the items, the lady tells me she only takes cash. I had to drive 10 mins to get cash and come back. What kind of business these days doesn't take credit card? Also this would have been helpful to know had she called me when she was supposed to to let me know my clothes were ready and told me to bring cash. Very unprofessional. Also the prices are high for what needed to be done. I should've gone to my usual seamstress but she was booked at the time. I would've also done some of the work myself if I had the time but I had 2 weddings and a bunch of family to entertain and house. Worse customer service ever . Dropped off my dress for my cousins wedding last Wednesday . Was told it'll be done today , come to her shop n she's here trying to find my dress for ten min ! She doesn't know where she put it ! I called her prior to the visit n she said it's done !!! I even helped her look and she couldn't find the dress anywhere ! Than she comes to her messy counter full of clothes n it's underneath everything ! Not done at all ! She told me to come back at 5 pm n it's now 330 . She's charging me 60$ for my dress that's not even finished !!! Don't go here ever !!!! My cousins wedding is in 3 days and I'm part of it ! I needed a button sewn back onto my wool coat, and each place I inquired about having it sewn told me I would need to leave my coat for up to 3 days. After a search on Yelp! I found Gius Tailor and gave them a call. They told me to bring the coat over around 2pm and it would be ready by 4pm. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So I dropped the coat off and received a call only 45 minutes later that my coat was ready to be picked up. Not only did they sew my button back on, but they reinforced the threads on the other 2 buttons for free! Fast, friendly, and quality service is what I experienced with this business and plan to use their services in the future!!! read more

I have been in search for a seamstress and I am so glad I found this place. I used to go to the dry cleaners next to Uwajimaya and stopped giving them my service when they messed up on a dress I needed altered, gave me the HARDEST time (glaring and all) when I brought it back and the lady literally stabbed me with her needle. Gius Tailor's prices are very reasonable and she always greets you with a huge smile. I brought my dress here and she did a perfect job with the alterations. This is my new go to spot! read more

I brought in a recently bought dress that had a bulging back that needing altering by Christmas. My unfortunate procrastinating self didn't call Gius to ask about it until Friday, December 15. After calling and bringing in the dress, Gius said she could have it ready by Saturday, December 23 for $50. Man, was I ecstatic! I did have to call on Saturday afternoon to see if it was ready, AND it was. I'm very pleased with her work and relieved she was able to do it in time. Will be back for future alterations. My bad rating is simply for the fact this place is insanely overpriced and bad customer service. I understand this is a service and I also should have been given a quote I brought in some curtains to be hemmed, clearance ones nothing fancy. I went back two and a half weeks later after no phone call that my stuff was ready to find they wanted $60 for the job! I said you're joking right and she goes oh ok for you $40...ahhh still not a bargain lady, they were hemmed that's it. I ended up leaving without them because they also don't take card. I went back a week later and paid the $40 but seriously considered just leaving them there. For $60 I could've ordered brand new curtains at the length I needed and friggin overnighted them for that price. Ridiculous and would never recommend this shop, sorry but the prices are insane and quality isn't there. The stitch itself was wonky and uneven, had I had a machine I could've done a better job myself. read more

This business doesn't open when it says it does. Came here before opening time and waited twenty minutes past the ten along with another person. Just standing around wasting time and they never showed. I planned my day around this and as you know tailoring is sometimes hard to come by especially during wedding season. Very unprofessional. I stopped in to see how long it would take to have a bridesmaid dress altered and how much. She told me two weeks and to bring it back on a certain date. She quoted me $150.00, thought this was expensive, but I decided to go with it. I dropped it off over two weeks in advance. I went to pick up on Wednesday, August 23rd. She couldn't find it, finally she moves a crumpled bag and my dress is crumpled up underneath- not even started!! She apologized and said to come back that same evening, she'd only work on my dress. The wedding was that Saturday, I needed it as I was staying in Seattle for the weekend. I picked the dress up, didn't try it on- she still charged me $150 I didn't argue, I was in a hurry and had family in town. Tried it on when I got to my brothers house and it was at least two inches too long. Horrible. The top part was still loose. Thank God, my step mom doctored it up enough to wear, but I felt uncomfortable all day in it. I was very hopeful to find a new seamstress, but I won't be back here.... read more

Dress was suppose to be done by certain day. I called day before to make sure it was ready. She wasn't finished with my dress even though I'd given her Teo weeks and when I came to pick up my dress she charged me more even though it was her fault it wasn't ready. And she only accepts cash only which means I had to leave and go to an atm. I'll never go back or she won't get another 100 dollars from me. read more

Well, after observing the work she had done with the suspender buttons I notice both pair have the same flaw. Each side has the buttons offset from the other side. So, I either drive to a legitimate tailor and have the work redone or I walk around looking like someone off the movie "Deliverance"; I should have taken the comments to heart from the other customers and not risk my garments, Since she does not use credit cards no other recourse but to pay twice. It is better to spend a little more, drive a little farther and find someone who is skilled enough to do the work right the first time. read more

I have taken my suit blazers, so far, to shorten the sleeves. If you have buttons on the sleeves, they (and other places) will not be able to shorten. Unless, you are ok with 3/4 length. I prefer shorter so it works for me. She gives me a ticket and tells me when it's ready (usually, in a week). Price is reasonable and good quality. It is a little hole in a wall type of a place. I would try to park in front of the store. Also, she only accepts cash. She probably should have a sign, but I know now. I like how I can quickly tell her what I need and go in less than 10min. She's been nice to me so I continue to go for all of those reasons. read more

Saturday June 23rd: I walk into Giu's with 6 pieces which all need to be hemmed and two of them need to be taken in at the bust. The tailor quotes me $100 and says my pieces will be ready July 8th. I inform her that I am going out of town July 10th so this is great (I intended to wear these). July 8th comes and I call to tell her that I will be there to pick up my things right at 6 (when they close) and she asks me if I can pick them up Monday... Which happens to be July 10th. I start thinking of how I can repack my bags and still catch my plane when she also informs me that the total will be $145. I tell her that we agreed (and she quoted me) $100. Then she starts to tell me it was too much for her and she'd given me an estimate. DO. NOT. COME HERE. I should have listened to the other reviewers that said the same. She is CONSISTENLY LATE and does not stick to her own prices. read more

If it was possible to give less than zero stars I would. She has my wedding dress. Said it would be ready to pick up this morning. I stopped in to check on things two days ago and she hadn't even started the work. I said, "never mind, I'll just take the dress and wear it the way it is. I am leaving on Friday afternoon. For my destination wedding." She said, "No problem, you can pick it up Friday morning. I will have it done. No problem". Well, I should have taken my dress with me. Here it is 10:35 Friday morning and there is a sign on the door that says, "will be back at 1:00PM" I'd say that is a BIG PROBLEM!!
