Had five dress shirts that had pretty bad neck and pit stains. The lady was clear that she may not be able to get them out, which was fine. The neck stains all came out, which was great. And the pit stains were greatly improved. Would give five stars, but it was $27 for five shirts...it does seem a little steep. Also, the place could use some cleaning and organizing. My husband and I drove around looking for alterations places in renton and after multiple people not being there we finally found Plaza Cleaners. It's on the back side of the shopping center so it's a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. (This review is just as much my husband's but he doesn't have any postings on his Yelp! account so we didn't want it to get filtered & I'm writing it.) I don't know why there are so many bad reviews as we got great service! Miss Kay (not sure on the spelling) is very nice and friendly. We had two pairs of pants to hem, some work shirts to let in and my husband's patch had to be sewn on his work uniform. He works for the USCG so he needed it to do done well and had to have it in just a couple days. They were able to do it quickly and she did a great job! She had given us an estimation of what it would cost when we dropped off the clothes and when my husband went to pick it up it actually was cheaper. As other reviews said the dressing area is in the front near the register and there's just a curtain so it does seem like it would be uncomfortable to be changing in there but otherwise it's a great place for alterations/cleaning. Ok alterations, decent cleaning, fair prices, good turnaround time. I came by a few times a month for over a year and they didn't seem to remember me, but I felt like a "regular" regardless. Trying on a dress for alterations was a bit awkard because they only had a little curtain to wrap around me (about 3 feet wide) in the middle of the cashier area. Someone came to pick up their laundry while I was in there, and it was a little too close for comfort while I was working my way out of a very slinky dress. read more

I had just spilled soup on my suit so I took it in to get dry cleaned immediately so they could clean it before the stain could soak in. I made it very clear to them that the stain was still fresh and they said they could get it out. I went to pick it up a week later and they had just cleaned it after sitting there for a week, and by then the stain had set in. They said they couldn't guarantee stains would come out. Biggest waste of $16 for dry cleaning ever. Terrible and rude service. I took it to another dry cleaner nearby and they were able to almost get it out completely so I can actually wear the suit since the stain is no longer noticeable, no thanks to Plaza read more

Ive been to pretty much all of the other dry cleaners in the area. These guys do the best job. I've had my military uniform cleaned and altered here and clothes for work. It is never a hassle and I'm always in and out in under 5 min. My clothing is always very clean and pressed nicely. The quality is outstanding. Honest, fair prices, and quick dress alterations. I went to two places before coming here to get a quote on a couple of small alterations for my bridesmaid dress. At the first two places I was looking at around $175 just to take in the waist and raise the hem. (The dress COST $175.) David's Bridal even wanted a $25 rush fee to get the dress back to me in under a month. Then I found this magical place and they got my dress back to me in a week, and it cost less than $100. They weren't busy, was able to get in with no appointment and no wait. There is a SMALL little area with a curtain that you put on whatever you need altered and they fit you right next to the cash register so if you're shy or want privacy, there really is no place for that. But I came in for a VERY FAST dress alteration for a wedding that I had in week. And I went in on Saturday and the dress was finished on Monday. Everything fit well and it was done nicely. It was a little on the expensive side compared to other places that I have gone to but I came here since I recently moved and it was close by. Oh almost forgot! On yelp they have a check in discount but when I asked the lady about it she said they do not honor that anymore since it's new owners so that kinda sucked too read more

This is the place to go. The ladies were funny and fantastic-- gave suggestions about the length of the dress, upfront about how many orders were ahead of mine, and did the job within several days! The owner here was absolutely wonderful working with her. There was an under slip, a dress and coat and it was all very complicated with decorations along the bottom edges which she was able to completely save and shorten the dress and it looks beautiful!! They not only were able to, but the work was top quality, fast and extremely affordable in comparison to other seamstresses doing last minute wedding work. Usually anything labeled with the word "wedding" comes at a high price, but not Plaza Cleaners. You can see the pictures of my dress bustled, and unbustled, it looks amazing and they did it in 1 week, plus alterations I needed in order for my dress to fit, and I repeat, at the last minute, a week before my wedding!
