I brought Gabriel a designer suit that still didn't feel right after store alterations. He was pretty honest--said the best it could become was a 7/10--and then went to work. He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). Every item has come out perfectly tailored. If fit has always been a compromise for you, it's worth seeing what Gabriel can do. Adding some photos, but I'm not a fashion/textiles photographer. My posture is very upright and that just makes the chest issue even more difficult. There aren't many places in the US outside of New York that do real bespoke -- patterns cut from scratch. I'm glad I found Gabriel. He has a great understanding of classic men's style and proportions. The suit he made for me is very comfortable and continues to get better as the canvas takes the shape of my body. I keep looking for areas to make micro improvements for my next project with him. But to be honest, the fit is so good I'm not sure there's much to change other than experimenting with other styles, like a double breasted. I plan on commissioning something from him every year as long as I stay in Washington. The super tight, short jacket with the bum exposed, with skinny lapels was trending for a while on off the rack clothing. Even some made to measure places make suits like this. If you are looking for a suit to wear for the next 10 years, I encourage you to give Gabriel a try and have him make something timeless for you.

Second, you enter this place and your senses are captivated either by the floral wall, suit stands, fabric shelves, and accessory drawers. Third, I believe they have a small dry cleaning operation in the back. So they do not only stitch together your garments, they make them stage ready. Fourth, Richard looks like he lives the life, isn't simply going through the motions and pretending to do a job. Lastly, it is a little pricey, but you would be hard-pressed to find a space like this with reasonable delivery times.

I spoke with a few bespoke suit places and Jeff just got my style the best. While other suits were beautiful, I think the small details Jeff payed attention to and some of his designs for the more modern person. Pockets for days! Jeff was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. My lady requested a swatch of fabric to help tie together the Father's and best man's suit with mine and he was able to accommodate. The "funny" thing is I was wearing one of the suits I purchased from him in 2008. Still fits great. I wore a different sport coat and slacks into the office earlier this week from closer to 2006 and my office mates thought I got new clothes. They might cost more than an off-the-rack suit but I promise you that once you wear a custom suit, shirt or slacks you won't want to go back. And of course the cost per wear is pretty low after almost 20 years. And they aren't being removed from my closet. Jeff is super personable and not pushy. He knows his stuff and you'll look great and feel great because looking good is feeling good.

Very disappointed with Beckett & Robb, and Carl in particular. I needed a custom suit for my…read morewedding in Hawaii ~6 weeks away, and Carl assured me he could have it made and available a week in advance of the big day and before my flight out. The suit did not make it to Seattle by the promised date and Carl had to overnight it to Hawaii the day before my wedding, where it arrived at my hotel as a disaster. The lapels were misaligned by about 8 inches (see photo), there were loose threads (see photo), the custom patch with my wedding date had the wrong date on it, and it had belt loops rather than the side adjusters I had ordered. Needless to say, Carl did not help me look my best for my wedding. When I returned to Seattle and brought the suit back to Carl to get fixed, he didn't seem particularly apologetic. He offered no discount for his failure to provide a quality garment for the wedding, and told me it would take two months to fix. Also worth noting that there is zero recourse at Beckett & Robb: the "main office" is a inbox/voicemail that doesn't return emails/calls (I tried both), so there is no way to escalate and Carl is the only person you will be able to get a hold of. I've had custom suits made before (used Klein Epstein & Parker which did a fantastic job) so I guess my expectations were high. I won't use Carl / Beckett & Robb again, and I would advise anyone else to be particularly wary for any time-sensitive needs. I still don't have a fixed suit in my possession 14 weeks after the promised delivery date.

He asked her about her dress and saw photos to help him make sure that my tux would not only go with it, but would be stunning enough to be photographed alongside of it. Throughout the entire process he was very helpful and would follow up when needed. It got to the point where it felt like I was working with a friend, not a business. They hit the bullseye and now have a return customer pending a successful pickup once the work is done. I don't buy clothing often enough to be a savvy buyer, but prices were predictable and the apparel felt quite well made.

No sales pressure, but very clear answers to any questions. When they haven't had my size they'll order it for me. if a particular manufacturer is no longer making the pants I want they'll show me what else might be available.
