Way way way too expensive. I brought in a jacket and unfortunately didn't first ask the price. When I came to pick it up the price was $40 What???? Well if I wanted the jacket back I had to pay it. The next time I needed the jacket dry cleaned it was less than a third of the price. And looked just as good, maybe better. read more

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT bring your cloths here. My cloths have been ABSOLUTELY ruined and then the owner would tell me it came to her that way. There's no accountability with the damage done. So far they have ruined 3 very expensive pieces , 2 that are irreplaceable. The business appears to also ship out their dry cleaning to a 3rd party and does not do it in house. I watched the cloths get collected and thrown into a white van for 3rd party cleaning. I support small business' and I gave her 3 chances to make this right as I have been going there for years. 3 in a row my cloths were damages beyond repair and the only solution is a really expensive replacement or landfill. I've never left a review before but I was so happy with this place that I decided I had to. I came to Total fashion with a dress that was much too big for me, a few days before I had prom. When I came to pick it up after it was finished, before it was even supposed to be finished, I tried it on and it was perfect. I was so shocked with the speed and quality of the alteration. In the midst of prom and wedding season, I needed a bridesmaid dress altered with a quick turn around time for a friend's out of state wedding. Most places were giving me an estimate of 2 weeks minimum, but I only had a few days. To my relief, Total Fashion was able to accommodate me and got the dress back to me on time, even a few hours earlier than we initially discussed. She did an amazing job with the alteration. She even recommended that I bring my heels in so that she could ensure the dress was the perfect length as the height of the heel and difference from back to front of the shoe can impact the adjustments. I was so impressed with her attention to detail and the pride that she takes in the outcome of her work. I can tell you that my bridesmaid dress turned out better than others who had their dresses altered at big name, high end stores. I needed a couple suits fitted and thought it'd be a great idea to come in and support a local business. When I got in, I tried on both suits and got them marked up for resizing - pretty quick and painless process. When I left though, I was quoted $180 to have both pants hemmed and tapered and both jackets' sleeves shortened and backs taken in. I thought it was a lot since I bought my suits for only $60 each. Somehow, my total came out to $223 and I didn't bother checking the math on her chicken scratch receipt just to save the trouble. She told me she would have them ready for me a week from the day I came in and that simply didn't happen. I called her exactly a week later to see if the suits were ready and she told me she got 'too busy' and that they would be ready the following week. I would've totally been okay with picking it up two weeks out, but she had told me herself it would only take a week and didn't even have the audacity to give me a heads up about the delay. When it was finally time to pick up my suits, I went in and tried them on. I noticed that the seems were not straight on both the cuff of my pants and the sides. She told me she could make them look like the original cuff but failed to do so. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, I used a visa debit card to pay off $160 first and then the remainder on my credit card. She was 'confused' for some reason and almost charged me $160 TWICE had I not seen her input the numbers myself. How can you run a business and make such error. Overall, I had a terrible experience and just thought I'd voice my opinion. read more

I go there mainly for alterations, often for outdoor gear. Been going for decades. Always great work, very reliable. I miss the old man, original owner, who would on request fix my pants without even having to put them on by measuring or me just telling him the length. The new owner for a few years now is a younger relative. She has a college degree in her trade. So she is even more up-to date and knowledgeable on newer materials and styles. However, she is a bit more picky in doing things her way instead of mine (insists on trying the clothes on) and a wee bit more expensive. But the results are great. This is my first time here as I wanted to try something different than my normal department store tailor. As a 200lb 5'7" short legged dude I have to get everything altered. I decided to give the local shop a chance. Brought in a pair of dress pants in on a Monday evening, had them tapered and hemmed for $32, ready for pick up by the following Wednesday. It was a very quick and easy process. Walked in, I was directed to the little fitting room to put in the pants, and have him mark it up. I was in and out in less than 10 min. read more

I could call myself lucky or I could say a very compassionate seamstress took pity on me, or both. Because of a series of events that I'll spare the review, I ended up being in a situation where I needed a uniform altered for early morning, next day, and I only had the one uniform. What I did, I don't suggest doing in general, but I called in desperation at about 5:30pm on Monday (today), a holiday. They close at 6pm. I roughly described the need, though I'm far from an expert (and in turns out what I described as a small hem job was actually fairly complicated), and she said, okay, bring it in. I did manage to get the uniform there about 5:50pm. She said, this is not a simple hem job, but I know you need it done. Come back in about an hour, I'll have it ready for you. Sure enough, I came back in hour, and it was ready and it was perfect, and she even pressed it for me. I was willing to pay quite a lot more than she charged, and for her above-and-beyond at nearly the last minute, I gave a generous tip also. Her kindness to a stranger was really a gift I won't soon forget. So thank you, seamstress at Total Fashion, for pretty much saving the day on a very time sensitive task. I had a dress emergency. A zipper on a beloved dress broke and I needed it fixed as soon as possible. One place I went to seemed so perplexed by the zipper, needed more time than I had to correct the problem, and was going to charge me way too much. I hauled ass to Total Fashion and the zipper was looked at and he said he could change it, would have it done when I needed it, and gave me a reasonable price. Since then Total Fashion has been my go to place for alternations and I tend to need a lot with my short staure and side gig. Total Fashion does alterations and dry cleaning. I haven't had anything cleaned yet but when that time comes be sure that it is going there! The owner is always ready to tackle the challenges I bring forth and does incredible work. Whether I need a ballgown hemmed, a dress steamed, a skirt velcro-ed so it can be torn off, a dress with buttons that needs to be changed to snaps, he does it all. Every single time I get an item back I am pleased and impressed with how well it looks. It is as if that was how the garment originally looked. I always have a time constraint and need my clothes back by a certain date and he always manages to get them back to me in time. One time I didn't have enough cash to pay and my intention was the put the remainder, which was a few dollars, on my credit card. He told me not to worry about it because it would cost just as much for him to run the card. I thanked him profusely and I said I would pay him back for his generousity, which I did by sending him the exact amount I owed him. Great work, great owner, great shop. I have been going to this place forever for alterations. This guy is amazing and very reasonably priced. He has a tiny little dressing room if you want him to actually measure your item on you, but if you are lazy like me, you either cuff and pin your pants, or bring a similar pair and say do it like this. It's clear over towards White Center so it's usually a Saturday outing for me, but if you truly want to wear your new duds in the upcoming week, you just ask nicely, with a little bit of whine and frowny face, and he will do your hemming that very day. It's very easy to kill some time over at the dog park, Zippys' Burgers, get your nails done next door, or do some Asian market shopping up the street on 15th, Parking is a little tough, so you can pull into the job shop joint next door. read more

I need my jeans to be altered and with friends and recommendations, I have to try their service. The place is not really "fancy" but the owner is really accomodating and friendly. Great customer service is always the key. Price wise, I think it's also cheap. Whenever I need my clothes to be dry cleaned, I might try them also since again, it's where my friends and relatives go. A dress I ordered for my best friend's wedding (I would be ordaining them) arrived far later than it should have, given that I paid for expedited shipping, and it was WAY too big, and they didn't have a smaller size and the out-of-state wedding was less than a week away. This is truly the best place to get your clothes fitted. I wear suits everyday to work (I have around 10 and counting) so right after I purchase suits off the rack, I need to get them tailored. Some are major and some are small alterations. But whatever it is, Stephanie can do it. She is the best! I have had 5 other tailors in the past and they all can't compare to the fashionable and stylish Stephanie, as she also gives great advice on how the suit should fit. She goes above and beyond for a great client experience. She has major attention to detail and gives great and reasonable prices. I would say low prices for her great work.
