I'm uncertain of the owner's/operator's name, but she was very efficient and very professional. Measured me quickly and altered the suit in a reasonable amount of time and did an excellent job. You know how hard it is to find a good tailor? Like really tough in these parts. Not that I'm bringing couture or difficult vintage pieces here, but I've found success each time I've brought in a dress to be altered or taken in. I had a a few pairs of pants that needed slimming in the thighs. This was my first time doing anything more hemming pants, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. My jeans and slacks now fit my body perfectly and the workmanship is superb. The woman who helped me both times I've been in is really friendly and quickly picked up on exactly what I wanted. I will definitely continue to go here. And for those curious about price, for two thigh adjustments and two hems (spread across three pants) I paid $67. read more

First off I should state that this is a delayed review because I had a dress altered (simple inch taken off the bottom hem) last November (2015) but only today tried on the dress again. I originally wanted the dress altered for a NYE party but got stuck in travel chaos on the East Coast and ended missing the party. I finally tried it on today and I realised that instead of taking the hem up an inch they unpicked the hem and lowered it instead, so my dress is even longer on me now than in the first place. There was no confusion at the time of requesting the hem to be taken up and it is a very basic sheath dress so I don't know how they mixed it up but considering they charged me $28 for a simple hem alteration, I'm not happy to get the opposite result. Due to the time that has elapsed since the alteration I won't bother going back there to try have them fix it, so in fairness I can't judge their customer service on this. Luckily it's an easily fixable problem (at extra cost though). read more

This was my first time at cinderella Tailors (though my husband had some pants altered and she did a FANTASTIC job). I brought in 3 different high-end garments to be altered: 1. Blazer (sleeves needed to be shortened) 2. Blouse (hem needed to shorter/curved and the shoulders taken in) 3. Jumpsuit (too big on top and the waist was too long which gave it a saggy drop crotch look...to be honest it looked like a really tough job and I wasn't sure if it was a lost cause) I am very pleased with the detailed craftsmanship - and trust me, I'm picky. Her seams are beautiful, and what she wound up doing with my jumpsuit was nothing short of a miracle. And, she was able to turn around all 3 pieces in the timeframe needed. My family came from out of town for my wedding and only got to try the bridesmaids dress on the day of the wedding. Much to our horror, we discovered the dress was 4" too long, far too long to just wing it and hope for the best. I called Cinderella Tailors, requested they do an alteration, got the dress there as fast as possible and 30 minutes later we now have the altered dress, ready for my sister. Even if it was a simple hem, they did a wonderful job on such short notice and saved the day for my sister. This place did a great job on the two pairs of heel tips that needed replacing. The woman who works here was perfectly friendly. But I was disappointed when I went to pick up my shoes, and saw that the price was $18 per pair of tips, (compared to place I usually go to that does them for $12) and the two pairs of boots I had stretched (for $12 each!) barely felt like they had stretched at all. The left one even felt like it had been stretched a little more than the right. :( The location is convenient for me, and they do a good job, but when there are other places that deliver the same quality for much less, I don't know that the convenience will be enough to make a repeat customer out of me. read more

Opened a Yelp account solely to review this place. First off, I've gone here for a few alterations--they have consistently priced significantly more than the place on Galer. For example--$62 to hem a coat that the tailor on Galer did a great job with for $42. I dropped off a pair of boots to have the heel repaired last week. We discussed all the details of the repair in advance. When I went to pick them up a week later, first, she couldn't find them and then when she did, there was no work done at all. She explained that for some reason the repair was not possible. I don't understand what that reason was, or why they didn't call me to tell me so I could have taken them somewhere else in time to wear them to the event I was attending. When I dropped them off, there was no hint that they wouldn't be able to do it. Unimpressed. read more

I'm not familiar with this business except for the following: I brought in an item to be altered, and was quoted $40, so I took it to another dry cleaner in Queen Anne (Berg French Cleaners) and they did the job for $15. Do what you will with that information. read more

I like to support small businesses on QA because it's hard to make it on the Hill. That said, I had a horrible experience at this tailor. I brought in 1 skirt and 2 pants to hem. When I got home and went to pack the skirt, it had a huge paint stain on it (the size of a small hand). It was obviously ruined. When I went in, the woman said that I did it. There are SO many problems with this. First, I don't think I did it. Second, if it was like that, WHY wouldn't they call before hemming it. It is very strange. Then she blamed me. The other problem is that the hem in the second pair of pants came out in one wearing. I don't know if this is typical but I would never go back and would recommend you don't either. read more

I went here because I just moved to town, and found the first place on Queen Anne Ave. Turns out to be one of those places you hope to find where you can develop a relationship with your tailor, eliminating the need to overly explain how you want your clothes fitted each visit. They are wonderful at getting to know your preferences, style, and will expedite work if a rush is needed. I have taken everything here, from repairs and shorts to sport coats and designer clothes. They are creative in their problem solving, and impeccable in their craftsmanship. You are greeted with a smile each time, and they are wonderful with our baby girl. This time I need a costume dress for a hula performance altered a lot. the dress was new but smelled funny so I washed it, following the directions, washing it in cold water and hanging it to dry. The dress shrunk at least one full size! It wouldn't even zip. I didn't think it could be saved, but to my surprise it now fits perfectly! I consider it a tailoring miracle!. read more

AMAZING. I picked up a poly-satin travesty of a bridesmaid dress on Wednesday - it was FOUR SIZES too big. The wedding was Sunday - I came in to Cinderella in a panic on Thursday morning, and they had the dress taken in looking great by Saturday afternoon!
