I came in with 8 pieces of clothing, and the owner was very polite throughout the process. She mentioned right off the bat that she was the only one working and was very busy, so I told her none of my items were in any rush at all. She seemed a little overwhelmed that I had a huge bag of items. 3 of the items she looked over and told me she couldn't get it done without a helper, and that was totally fine by me. The measurements for the other 5 items took about 30 minutes. She quoted $15 for 3 buttons, $50 and $70 for the other two pants that needed to be hemmed (a pair of viscose/polyester trousers and a faux leather pant). I felt that the two pants hemmed were out of my budget, and asked her if she could just do the 3 buttons and not the pants. I also offered to compensate her for her time, as I was there for a while for the measurements. She then told me she was too busy to do the buttons, or any of my clothes, and sent me out of the store refusing service. She was still relatively polite throughout this whole exchange. I think it is within her right to refuse service because it is out of her scope or she is too busy. But I think she ended up turning me away because she was offended? I'm not sure if there is an etiquette for me to reduce the scope of the work? read more

The lady that works here is so nice! I came in because the buttons fell off of my jeans. She took a look at it, told me to sit down, and then fixed it in about 5 minutes. I thought I would have to drop it off and come back but she just fixed them right there. It only cost $5 also which I think is pretty reasonable. One thing to note if you're going to come here: the place is a bit hard to find because it's inside of a medical center. So if you find a building with a bunch of medical services, you're actually at the right place. read more

So far so good ! Dropped my items off there to be tailored. Fit nicely and the work is quality. I think it's extremely overpriced but I do believe your paying for convenience. Like when you go to a minimart Vs grocery storefront. She is very kind the place is in a super nice building. I am not from here so I don't know what a good deal is ,but for two items a top and pants it was 100$. Being from LA this is VERY pricey. My work paid for my items so it didn't bother me. Do not come here. Asian lady swears she hemmed my dress but she did not and I paid 72 for a fake hem. I went back to show her and get a refund and she yelled at me and lied. She snatched my dress from out of my hands to hell at me. Super unprofessional. Save your money and go somewhere else!! Kim is such a sweetheart and is very good at her craft. Unfortunately clothes don't usually seem to fit me right off the rack and I have to get most things tailored. Kim is sweet and will tell you if things will work well or not, she has a good eye. Her Prices aren't listed, sh does it a little old school but she had was treated me and my boyfriend well. I have seen her totally redo suit jackets, jeans and slacks for me and she has redone my jeans and uniformS as well as my dresses. read more

Out of convenience and short notice I brought my bridesmaids dress in three days before the wedding to see if it could be hemmed an inch or so. Based on the other reviews I figured it wouldn't be a problem. I affirmed many times that I needed it to be done by Friday at noon- hours before I was in the wedding. The woman assured me it would be done and even made note on the ticket as to when I needed it done by. Mind you I also paid $85 plus tax, which she told me was a really good deal, but I know this is probably absurd given what others in my family paid for there's to get hemmed. When I returned on Friday, exactly at noon, the same woman freaked out when I handed over my ticket. She found my dress untouched and claimed to not know how she could've forgotten. She tried to get me to where the dress as-is but I asserted I couldn't. After five more minutes of her freaking out she hemmed it in 45- of course making me late to my maid of honor duties. She didn't offer anything in return for my trouble, otherwise I wouldn't be writhing this review. I understand mistakes happen but she knew the high stakes in my situation and did nothing to apologize. Would never recommend going here! read more

This lady saved my life. My bridesmaid dress was delivered to me in the wrong color, and I had to emergency order a new one. I needed the dress to be tailored in two days, and the first shop i went to wouldnt do it, and they also only accepted cash (which I didn't have on me), so I found this place online and when I brought it in, she was able to get the dress ready in only two days. I could tell once I entered that that probably wasn't what she does but does more elaborate work but she stitched them right then and there and would not let me pay anything for them! In one of my less graceful maneuvers, I was trying to stand aside in a hallway for someone going the other direction with a big box, and I inadvertently hooked a belt loop in my jeans onto a doorknob. There was a loud **RIP** sound as the loop was torn off. Oops. Anyway, I brought it to Metro and the nice lady was able to fix it in 2 days for a fair price. I got the impression that she could have turned it around even faster if it was urgent (but it wasn't). I'll be back, but hopefully for something less embarrassing next time! read more

Needed a suit altered for a wedding, it was a rush job. Alterations were perfect. Work was done fast!

She couldn't be nicer and did a fantastic job with the suit, blazer, and dress pants I brought in. All pieces were substantially and noticeably improved. She worked quickly as well. The only downside was the final bill was a little higher than I expected. However, take that with a grain of salt as I haven't been to a tailor in a long time (and never in Seattle before). I went to this tailor based on prior Yelp reviews. I needed to have the sleeves of my 2 white coats adjusted. Simple as that! It cost $50 to get it done...which I didn't mind as long as it was done. The lady told me to come back in 10 days (as they're busy)....which I also didn't mind. I come exactly 10 days later (per the ticket/receipt she gave me) and when I told her I'm here for my coats I had dropped off 1 week ago, she didn't know what I was talking about, and began to look for it. I then found white coats on the side of the counter and realized they were mine...and they still were not done!! I was furious! She began to do the whole they're busy excuse, but seriously...I think I was patient enough. I really didn't think hemming the sleeves of white coats takes that long? The place is just overprice and does't deliver. I will never go back. I asked for my money back and took back the coats with me. read more

I imagine they're probably good at altering suits and the like, but after the experience I had with them, I'd never go back. I brought a windbreaker in to be taken in at the shoulders. The lady was dismayed at the type of material. (I've dealt with alterationists who could work on any kind of material so I was surprised.) Then because I said I'd bought it on impulse and didn't notice the shoulders were too big, she asked me what I paid and was playfully slapping me like uh oh type thing. Ok, well, you're not my *real* mom. So she said leave it there and she'd check and see if they could work on it. So five days goes by, no phone call. I call there and she says was so busy, didn't get to ask. Then she asked while I was holding. Still freaking out about the fabric. Then says charges 75.00. Whaaa??? I came and rescued my jacket out of durance vile and will be taking it to another place I've used in the past. read more

I took a blazer to them to have it narrowed at the shoulders when Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus said they could not alter it. Metro did a very nice job with it and with smooth shoulders from the back. It wasn't a cheap job but I don't know what it should cost because these are the first people after calling around that said they could do it. I would go there again. read more
