Not worth the trip since I lived in Quincy, Bayao Cafe which is similar and have more options on the menu. Char siu - Do not order. They used pork belly instead pork butt and the seasoning is not the Hong Kong style of roasted pork. They just add five spice seasoning and honey at the end. ** only ate 2-3 pieces, staff face was shocked and asked if we want it to pack it to go and did not even ask for feedback when we said no Malaysia Style Curry Pork Chop Over Rice - Nothing can go wrong with curry but only 1 pork chop, around 6-7 pieces. More curry than rice and pork chop. Pineapple Bun with ice cream - Warm pineapple bun served with ice cream in the middle. Cute, nice a little sweet treat at the end to share but nothing really special. Blue Curacao Bear Soda - Cute presentation Just the hype, not worth it. Over $50, not including the tax. The staffs definitely need more training, the staff helped me packed my food after cleaning the other table without changing the gloves.

They went a great direction with the interior, it bright inside with different pieces inside like LED signs and astronauts. Glad it doesn't look like a standard restaurant and they tried to incorporate different style. The staff was really nice, there were a lot of workers so we had many people around to ask. The food itself was a little more disappointing. They had a smaller menu than what I've seen other locations have but they likely will increase in the future. The drinks were $8 each and had good presentation but was ok taste wise. The food was ok as well, I wouldn't come back to order anything but wasn't terrible. I think they use Kraft cheese got the omelet and the combo wasn't the best in my opinion. Overall didn't love it but it was interesting to try.

The food was good but nothing impressive. The workers were really nice though! I also like the interior, a pretty open space with good decor. I tried the ice cream bread which my friend once had in Japan so I wanted to try it too. It was cute! The other dishes were well made but also would be hard to mess up.

I came here on a weekday in the afternoon and I think they're still working though soft opening logistics. I was really excited to try this place because I saw it online and it's nice for the greater Boston area to have another HK style cafe. The restaurant itself is in a decent location. It's close to public transportation and there's street parking and a garage nearby. The inside was decorated really nice and it was clean. There were also a lot of tables as well. The service was good and the food came out pretty quickly. As for the food, I was disappointed that they didn't have some items on the menu. I was looking forward to trying the rice noodles with beef because that's a staple at most Chinese restaurants and they didn't have that. For the items that I did get, I liked the beef noodle soup and the yuenyeung. The beef noodle soup was light and still had a lot of flavor. The drink was strong and the perfect ratio of coffee and tea. I also got the pork cutlet curry and I thought the pork cutlet was small for the dish. I got the soup dumplings as well, and I they were okay. Overall. I think some of the food items were better than others and they're still working though the opening pains. I also overheard the staff saying how they're still in soft opening and the menu is subject to change.

Everybody that tried this place told me it was not worth it and not as good as it looked, and they were right. Unfortunately the food just isn't as good as it looks. I really like the ambiance and the interior decor, it's super fun! But the quality and price of the food was not great. The tomato pasta was super salty and bland, had barely any tomato flavor. I kind of expected sort of a spaghetti, but I didn't taste much. The vegetables were also just lettuce drenched in oil, literally unbelievable bad for the price. The only thing worth getting here again is the toast. The toast was crispy and sweet. A very nice treat! Overall, very disappointed with the quality of food. Every social media influencer will tell you this place is amazing, but all my family and friends will tell you it's not that good.

They had so rough start when they opened but finally found their groove. The dining room offers a legit Hong Kong experience, service was fast and friendly. The food was mediocre, with all the amazing options in Malden, one should not waste time with their food. The desserts and coffee are OK. It's a great place to go on a date or to spend time yapping with friends. Ambiance is 5 stars, bathrooms were meticulously clean, everything else is fast food quality

First time in! Grand opening week so we usually curb expectations as it does take time to get the flow of things operationally. Now generally I don't opt for this style of HK food but it looked goood from social media hype from soft opening. Unfortunately tonight when we dined, there were a few items sold out from menu. (You won't see it on the menu at all). We were hoping to get the fried chicken curry rice and the curry fishballs. Will have to come back to try those. They also only had the grapefruit bear drink, none of the milk tea style or any other. We did however order +Chicken nuggets +chicken wings + HK style french toast + HK style soup dumplings pork + black pepper sauce beef pasta + seafood rice noodle w/ vinegar soup The wait for us was about 5 minutes to be seated, then another 5min for menu tablet to arrive for us to look at the menu and order. We were able to order water (hot or cold) initially and that is the only cup we got. When food was brought out, our little table for two could barely fit all the various plates. Note no staff member checked in on us, cleared any empty plates nor filled any water back up. I'm sure the kinks will get worked out soon enough though. Alright let's get back to the food. Nuggies - they were a tad better then McDanks style, i enjoyed them. Arrived with ketchup and honey mustard! Kids'll enjoy them too. It'll go good with their fries. Chicken wings - smaller wings Fried like your takeout Chinese spot, has same profile of flavor. (I enjoy the simplicity) so these were fine, wasn't dry, came with the same condiments as the nuggs HK French toast- holy jiggle. This was yummy, filling and a nice desert (or meal replacement). Nice crust and flavor with the ice cream a sauces. HK pork soup dumplings XLB. Not my favorite for the filling, wasn't much broth to them at all for our order. The wrapping was good, didn't break on us using chopsticks (no soup dumpling spoons came with order). Beef pasta black pepper, you do get the traditional black pepper sauce flavor profile (i am a fan of canto Chinese food from Chinatown) the beef was tender enough, ale had broccoli, shrooms, green pepper. Overall I personally didn't care for this dish so i left it at the end. I couldn't really explain it, i just didn't want to eat it after a couple bites in. (No i didn't complain, i paid for it) Seafood rice noodle - definitely was the star of the night. The broth was tangy, sour, hint of spice (like Thai tom yum soup). Seafood proteins were a good portion with corn and veg. Definitely will return to try dishes that were not available (as those were our top choices when arriving). I'm sure the team will have their meetings and tighten up their operational side. Grand opening and all so won't be too critical but wanted to point those things out in our first experience. Lack of communications, didn't check on patrons, no refill on water or to see if we wanted another drink. Did not clear a single dish that was finished off our table. Did not ask how our meal was or if we needed anything like napkins utensils or to order anything extra (we didn't have the tablet anymore after our order). So the space was great looking. Good overall food. Service was subpar.

This place is very similar in vibes to Bayao Cafe in Quincy. I can see the appeal of it for individuals living north of Boston and don't want to make a trek to the south shore. I ordered the char siu on rice (16.95 w/o tax), the Malaysian curry chicken chop (essentially a chicken cutlet/katsu) on rice ($14.99 w/o tax) the Malaysian pork cutlet on rice, and the golden french toast cubes ($7.99). Everything is decent and okay. I liked the eggs that accompanied the char siu on rice and the sauce for the Malaysian curry chicken chop. One thing that I suggest for them is to offer set meal combos for adults that come with a drink. Service is okay and the staff is friendly. However, it seemed that they were still in training as some of them did not know what to do. Make sure that you check in at the front desk so that they can put you in the queue. Two single bathrooms (one for each gender) is available for customer use. Only street parking or garage parking is available customer use. It is about an 6-8 minute walk from the Orange Malden station.

Was super excited to see Sing Choi Keen finally open up in Malden! The restaurant was pretty busy as expected for a Saturday and newly opened - if you plan on visiting on the weekends just be prepared to wait for a table. The staff is really nice and for being so busy, we were able to order and get our food fast too. The inside is really bright and fun with lots of decorations so you will definitely have an enjoyable meal! For food we decided to split the eggs over rice and shrimp, fish balls with curry sauce, and the Hong Kong style French toast. We also ordered the milk tea with the ice teddy bear which was so cute! All the food had a good portion size and was really flavorful. I think my favorite was definitely the Hong Kong style French toast. I'll definitely have to come back to try more of the menu!

Been waiting for this place to open since I've seen the sign. Came in for dinner, the day before their soft opening. So a lot of items were sold out as they did not anticipate so many people would be stopping by before their soft opening. They were still very welcoming and friendly. Immediately once you walk inside, you feel transformed into another part of the world. Easily forget you're in Malden! Disappointed that a lot of items were sold out but everything that they did have were really good. We got the hk style French Toast, one of the better ones around here. It had good texture, moist and not too sweet. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The curry fish balls were good and flavorful, not like the ones in hk sold out of stalls but still one of the better ones around. Seafood rice noodles had good amount of spiciness where you can still taste other flavors. The chicken wings and fries were good, standard. They have kids friendly Utensils and cups. Staff seems to be in training and still learning the menu (as expected since they're not technically opened yet). You order off an iPad so not much interaction with server. They were not automatically attentive. We had to get them but they were quick and accommodating. I would definitely be back to try their other items

One of my new favorite restaurants! I'll be honest I came here for the first time because of the adorable bear drinks, but stayed for the fantastic chicken wings, pork soup dumplings, and bbq pork. I've been here three times since. The service is usually good the ambiance is nice and the food is consistently good. My friend's favorite drink is the mango drink with the frozen astronaut. She said the curry was nice but she likes the pork soup dumplings and chicken wings the best. Oh definitely grab the adorable pineapple bun with ice-cream for dessert, the bun is served warm and it stares up at you with adorable little eyes until you eat them.

Good vibe, good service. The food isn't anything mind blowing, but it's not bad either. The Malaysian curry slippery egg rice with chicken and the Jasmine coffee were surprisingly tasty!

Sing Choi Kee has arrived in MA! They are a Hong Kong cafe chain, with this one being their 3rd & latest location to open in the United States! They currently have two other locations on the East Coast: one in Flushing, NY in the Tangram Mall & one in West Nyack, NY. I've previously visited the one in Flushing and it did not disappoint, so I was quite excited for this opening in Malden! Grand opening was just a few days ago and we were debating whether or not to visit this soon, since we assumed there would be a long wait haha. Luckily, today when we visited at around 7:30pm, there was only a 5 min wait. Many tables were available! Once seated, ordering is done via tablets. Experienced little to no interaction with the staff, except for when requesting for the check. We ordered a couple of items for dinner: -Hong Kong French Toast (7.5/10) -Seafood Rice Noodles w/ Zao Po Vinegar Soup (9/10) -Fried Chicken Wings (7/10) -Chicken Nuggets (7/10) -Pork Soup Dumplings (7/10) -Beef Pasta w/ Black Pepper Sauce (7/10) I really wanted to order their Lemon Iced Tea or Milk Tea w/ the ice bear but I guess by the time we got there, they were sold out for the day. Many of their other items were also sold out, such as curry fish balls or curry w/ fried chicken. My favorite of the dishes we ordered, was the Seafood Rice Noodles w/ Zao Po Vinegar Soup! This is a hot + sour noodle soup & was so delicious! I typically don't finish the soup when I go out for noodles BUT it was SO TASTY that I couldn't help it! The fried chicken wings are your standard Chinese take-out chicken wings... nothing special. They were super juicy though & come with two sauces, ketchup + honey mustard! The chicken nuggets were not bad. Definitely a step up from your local McDonald's & I can see this being quite popular for the kids! Also comes with ketchup + honey mustard. Now, the pork soup dumplings... I honestly can't tell if they are frozen or not. They are noticeably less juicy than Shanghainese style XLBs btw. The dumpling skin was the perfect thickness though & did not experience any leaking when we picked them up w/ our chopsticks, so that was good!! The beef pasta w/ black pepper sauce is a good choice, if you like black pepper + mushrooms. The HK French Toast was so yummy! To be honest, I'm not too big on French toasts but this was good. It comes with a scoop of ice cream & is filled with condensed milk. Overall, we were super happy with our meal & everything we ordered. I'm not the biggest fan of Hong Kong styled food even as someone whose family is from there, BUT I do like Sing Choi Kee! I would say the only thing that could be improved is the service. After finishing our food, none of the staff members came by to grab the dishes, & we didn't have much space on our table w/ all that we ordered in total. So, it was a bit difficult eating once all the dishes arrived to the table. I do understand it's their first week of grand opening, so it's okay. I've noticed many new spots have been doing this also hahaha, very interesting. Parking: meter street parking on Pleasant St. Free parking after 7pm!

Grabbed a few different pork buns, pineapple bun, taro bun, and coconut bun. Prices are definitely better than the pastry shops in Central FL area. The lady that rang me up was very nice. I would have liked to try their duck but I guess next time. Having the coconut bun as I'm typing this, it's got a very decent amount of coconut filling. I will generally ask them to not chop up the meat for me. It's convenient and they do it very quickly, but my boyfriend is not a fan of the shards of bone co-mingling with the meat. I will warn you that cutting it up at home will result in a HUGE mess because these birds are fatty, but it's worth it to me to carefully debone the meat.
