    Wonton noodle soup

Tried several items on the menu. The fried wontons were BOMB. I did not expect to like this but I did! They were surprisingly light and airy. The sweet chili sauce accompaniment also balanced out the savory meat filling. Also tried out a few other popular items on the menu like their stewed brisket wonton noodle soup, spicy pork noodles lo mein, regular wonton noodle soup, and their curry fish balls. Although ive had better at other restaurants, they were still solid and hit the spot. Recommend to skip the milk teas here as they were all pretty watered down.

What a cute little Hong Kong restaurant tucked in Malden. The wonton and noodles were delicious and perfectly Al-Dente. They were really attentive and want to hear real feedbacks from customers. I would definitely come back for more!

Asian parents approved! This spot just opened up in Malden and they look busy! I brought my parents to try it out and they were happily surprised by the price and service. The menu is quite simple as they're slight variations of the same wonton soups but we didn't get to try the appetizers. They place is still quite small so I wouldn't come here with a party larger than 4. It does seem great as a color dining spot. They have a quick take out ordering kiosk too, if you're in a rush.

S2 Beef Stew & Wonton Noodle Soup again!

A wonderful addition to the west side of Malden and close to Medford on the busy Highland Avenue- Saigon Corner brings comfort Hong Kong dishes and bomb wontons (both steamed or fried) ! My favorite is the S2 Beef Stew & Wonton Noodle Soup. Simple ingredients but each component done well. Tender beef pieces, juicy wontons, al dente egg noodles and even the bok choy was just the right texture. I also tried the pork tomato rice which was very flavorful. My go-to drinks are the herbal tea and the iced lemon tea with fresh slices of lemon. The servers and staff are friendly and welcoming. Great option to dine in or just grab take-out. Some action and noise in the kitchen. I may have heard a DLLM a couple of times in passing - that's how you know the food is good (ha!) FUN FACT: Before the shop opened, I was expecting Vietnamese food because of the name Saigon, but I soon learned that there is a Saigon HK also known as "Sai Kung District", home of waterfront restaurants, fresh seafood and street food. Street parking available on both sides of the street.

Former Monkey King and the short lived boba shop location, Saigon Corner is a great addition in the area. There is no HK comfort food/snack north of Boston yet. If you don't want to travel to Boston/brookline/quincy, this is a perfect spot. I had a tough time selecting so why not the dumpling and wonton noodle soup. Broth not overly salted which is a good thing because there are plenty of condiments on the table. The noodles are not soggy! Yay! They do not skimp on the fillings - plenty of shrimp and pork inside wontons and dumplings. The curry fishballs are only ok. For additional cost, you can choose another noodle option (you can see the varieties at the end of the shop). Please note ramen is not the typical Japanese ramen noodles, but instant noodles instead. The ying yang (coffee/tea) beverage is smooth. Plenty of 2 hour free street parking and I loved the renovation (brighter and roomy). Bathroom at the end of the shop.

All the carb items both salty and sweet have always been good. on the last trip, I didn't get the egg tart as they looked a bit burnt. I haven't tried their meats yet, but will eventually get around to it.

I will generally ask them to not chop up the meat for me. It's convenient and they do it very quickly, but my boyfriend is not a fan of the shards of bone co-mingling with the meat. I will warn you that cutting it up at home will result in a HUGE mess because these birds are fatty, but it's worth it to me to carefully debone the meat. There's a bit of a language barrier but that doesn't stop me from asking for extra ginger scallion oil. Ask for it. They will give you one sauce. It's really good and we're not Chinese and they don't understand that we can't get enough of it. The soy sauce is also good. There is a bakery here but I've only ever gotten the meat. It is a typical Chinese cafe. Basic. No frills. Nothing fancy. The food just kind of speaks for itself. This is a To-go place. I think every time I've been here, there's been little or no wait.

fun and ever changing menu of drinks, the best muffins in the world, and the staff feels like familyread more

First visit since COVID to this charming but cramped and aging shop with over-the-counter service,…read moreabout a dozen different muffins, and a single tiny table by the window. It's almost entirely takeout and on weekend mornings the line is as packed as a subway car during rush hour. The staff is efficient, courteous, and businesslike. I bought a box of muffins at opening and the whole box felt warm-- a great sign. -- Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffin: I ate this in the shop shortly after opening, while it was still piping hot, with the raspberries nearly a liquid and the chips somewhat melty. Nice soft texture and good contrast of flavors. -- Blueberry Muffin: I broke off and sampled a piece a little later in the morning (okay, 15 minutes later). Still somewhat warm, with a sponginess leaning toward Play-Doh territory (not necessarily a bad thing), but overall good. Neither noticeably sugary nor noticeably buttery. Blueberries were closer to adequate than impressive. Good muffin but with no standout characteristic to hang your hat on. -- Cranberry Muffin: Probably the best of the bunch. The highest crown (though no overhang), with a crusty surface and a good amount of big cranberries on top. Decent understated flavor to the dough, almost biscuit-like. -- Chocolate Chip Muffin: Overloaded with chips on the top surface (I'd hesitate to call it a crown), with none below. Plain dough that's thankfully not overly sugared, but not particularly moist. These muffins aren't cheap. Once you factor in the tax and tip, it's close to $7 each, and we're not talking about particularly large muffins. If anything, they're small, with no overhang and no streusel. Nothing wrong with small (they're dense, so will still fill you up), but for the price it catches your attention, as does a "coffee house" with only one table. The muffins are a well-deserved 4 even without overhang and streusel, but the other aspects bring it to a 3. Best for local pick-up.
