Love Dr Lago & the entire staff! I felt that I was part of the family and cared for as such…read more I went with the sedation surgery vs the traditional numbing . I'm a huge sissy when it comes to procedures and my mouth lol. So I was hugely relieved to find an oral surgeon that offered that option.

Sadist is the word for this man. The only positive reviews come from people completely under to not witness his atrociousness! I had to the ER for a perforated sinus cavity under the violent hands of Dr. Hyland. Not only preforated - he left nothing. Every time I needed to spit during the extraction, he sighed. As I was choking on pieces of my teeth he told me not to spit on him and breath through my nose. Blood was running down my face, he wouldn't let the nurse suction properly or even give her time to do her job. He spoke disrespectfully to his nurses, throwing his weight around. You could sense his discontent, particularly towards women. I cannot recommend this dentist. He should be in jail for torture. Beware! As I wrote this review, he returned to say the tooth was difficult to extract as to explain his poor behavior - I've had multiple extractions, but this was different--forceful grabs of my face, clumsy tool usage, I have lacerations in my upper lip from his tools. Intential roughness. I had tears running down my face. Shaking because even my body realized the trauma/and danger it was in. I have come back to edit this review now twice throughout this process. I have also attached a photo so that you can see the comparison. He not only removed my tooth he literally decimated my bone and all the way into my sinuses. I was in the ER then seen by an additional oral surgeon where I likely will have to have a sinus lift. This doctor should never be in practice. A real doctor would've seen he perforated my sinus cavity and right then done something. Do not go here unless you want trauma! Serious trauma. This office's response is even more appalling!!! When you damage a patient that can hardly be called qualified!! As a "good" surgeon he should've known immediately he hit the sinus cavity. He is negligent and violent.

I was a little hesitant to schedule a Dentist appointment during COVID-19 because I have heard a…read morelot of people complaining their dentist isn't performing the full cleanings and the appointment was rushed. HOWEVER, Dr. Cohrs office is still doing the full service and taking their time and giving us excellent un-rushed service. Dr. Cohrs and his staff are the best. I can't recommend them enough!

MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

I had a referral for an extraction and within two weeks I was sitting in the chair. I had sedation and clearly didn't feel a thing. Best part is the next day. No swelling , bruising or pain. I had been given a consultation to have a wisdom tooth pulled, through the Dental Office within the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Community Care Department approved the consultation to be scheduled at the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location. I called the the phone number (269-388-2026) listed for that office, on the date of 02/20/2026. I had spoken with an employee of the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and was able to schedule an appointment for 03/04/2026 at 1300. Again, this appointment was scheduled for the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location. As I had arrived to my scheduled appointment at the Briarwood Valley Office Park. West Main. suite 200, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 location on 03/04/2026, I noticed a marquee sign located at the entrance of the Office Park, the sign did advertise the information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As I arrived in front of suite 200, I noticed a sign mounted on the side of the building stating information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As I had entered the office to the joining offices, I see another sign presenting the information for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery mounted on the wall, next to the office entry door. And then I noticed a paper size note taped to the glass door. The paper note stated "Our West Main office is closed today". In my confusion, I called the number listed on the paper size note. I was able to speak with an employee of Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and had been notified that the West Main office has been closed for three years. Again, they want me to believe that this location has been closed for three years. The website for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, has two locations listed for services. The West Main location is one. There is an active phone number listed on the website for the West Main location. There is a Marquee sign at the entrance of the Office Park with their information. There is an active sign on the side of building near the entry door. There was a paper size note taped to the entry door stating that they are closed today. The office does seem to be an active Dental office, with furniture. And for my favorite, I was able to schedule the appointment at the West Main office with an employee of Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care staff were confused with the information as well. The staff at the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, informed the Community Care Office that they called my phone number to cancel the appointment at the West Main location. but, my phone number must not be in service. I have not received any apologies for the Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Nor would I believe that one could be sincere. I will not be using this Dental office in the future.

The tooth then got infected. I went into the office,on a Thursday, he looked at it for 30 seconds said "I'm not even gonna touch that, you need to see an endodontist." Gave me antibiotics. The lady at the front desk signed the prescription. And she mentioned to the hygienist that my insurance "wrote off" the cost of my crown. Yet I had already paid $800 for it. The endodontist he recommended, Dr shugars has terrible reviews so I was too scared to go there. I called every endodontist I could find trying to get in as soon as possible. With no luck until the following week . I called Dr brayton back Monday morning telling them the antibiotics weren't helping and asking for them to send my referral to a few more offices hoping get in asap. They didn't call me back for 3 days. I found an endodontist an hour away that got me in on Thursday and told me the tooth was already dead and that I had bone loss. The endodontist was amazing but he did say I could lose this tooth now sooner than I'd like. It also cost me another $1,200 for the root canal.I cannot believe that I almost lost this tooth due to how bad the infection was. Dr brayton and his front desk lady Michelle did not care whatsoever. She was always rude on the phone as well. I will never go back there again. I'm out $2,000, and almost lost the tooth. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else
