The dental hygienists and front desk staff are friendly, gentle, and kind. Dr. Allen is very personable and helps you understand what is going on in your mouth. The new building is really gorgeous. I was lucky enough to go there once after they redid it a few years back. It's very homey feeling. I really miss being a patient there, but I've since moved out of state and cannot drive to Kzoo just for a dentist appointment! I like that they still have the 'no cavity club' - of course these days all the pictures are digital and on the website - when I was a kid they took a polaroid of us and pinned it up in the waiting room. :) If you're lucky enough to go to Dr. Allen, I envy you!

They got me in within 2 hours of calling. The building is adorable and located in a woodsy area so that you can watch wildlife outside as you sit in the chair. They have cutting edge, mind blowing technology with their own lab that make the crowns while you wait. No need to make temporaries and return later for the permanents. I can't begin to say how impressed I was by the service! I thought the bill would be really high given how many things were done over more than 90 minutes. I didn't know that you weren't supposed to use that he should when you geta soft liner put in. I did not only receive the softliner, I received an education as far as Dentures were concerned. Ann smiled ( did not laugh) and kind of rolled her eyes but with empathy. And I hear she was responsible for the beautiful Christmas tree that was in the office last year. She may be short in stature, but she's a force to be reckoned with with her knowledge of Dentistry. I also had the honor and privilege of meeting Norberto! I found his approach to be quite rough, and his comments about my existing dental work came across as very critical and judgmental, which made me feel uncomfortable during the visit. At the end of the appointment, I was referred out without much explanation, which added to my frustration. Overall, I did not feel at ease or well cared for, and I would not choose to return.

The tooth then got infected. I went into the office,on a Thursday, he looked at it for 30 seconds said "I'm not even gonna touch that, you need to see an endodontist." Gave me antibiotics. The lady at the front desk signed the prescription. And she mentioned to the hygienist that my insurance "wrote off" the cost of my crown. Yet I had already paid $800 for it. The endodontist he recommended, Dr shugars has terrible reviews so I was too scared to go there. I called every endodontist I could find trying to get in as soon as possible. With no luck until the following week . I called Dr brayton back Monday morning telling them the antibiotics weren't helping and asking for them to send my referral to a few more offices hoping get in asap. They didn't call me back for 3 days. I found an endodontist an hour away that got me in on Thursday and told me the tooth was already dead and that I had bone loss. The endodontist was amazing but he did say I could lose this tooth now sooner than I'd like. It also cost me another $1,200 for the root canal.I cannot believe that I almost lost this tooth due to how bad the infection was. Dr brayton and his front desk lady Michelle did not care whatsoever. She was always rude on the phone as well. I will never go back there again. I'm out $2,000, and almost lost the tooth. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else
