They made sure my kids are so comfortable and safe. As one of them has severe anxiety. They literally hold your hand. The process was very smooth. Recovery was amazing and they even walk you out to the car and call you 2 days later to check and see how you are doing. Now for me, I went to Aspen dental. Was supposed to get a tooth extracted that was very infected. Well I showed up to my appointment with a note on the door saying "internet down, we can't see anyone today" basically. I was so upset, I was waiting 2 weeks to have the tooth out, the pain was INTWN. So intense it was in my ear and down my throat and nose. So I posted on fb, my friend penny that works here called me right away and she had told her boss the doctor about me, and my situation. He got me RIGHT in. No questions asked, they cared about ME and my health. The infection was severe. So severe that there was a huge golf ball sized lump in my throat from the infection I needed this tooth pulled. I suffer from severe anxiety. Bad. They put my mind at ease, held my hand, I didn't remember a thing, I remember the doctor coming in and telling me everything will be ok, putting the IV in and I didn't feel that either. Then I said 10 lol and was out, next thing I knew I was being walked into recovery. My husband was already their. I laid down and relaxed for a bit. Then stayed for about 30-45 min for me to come out of it more, the nurse walked me to the car with my family. Said she would call and check on me Monday (it's only Sunday) the compassion and caring this office has is absolutely amazing. You can't teach that.

I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

They have cutting edge, mind blowing technology with their own lab that make the crowns while you wait. No need to make temporaries and return later for the permanents. I can't begin to say how impressed I was by the service! I thought the bill would be really high given how many things were done over more than 90 minutes. I got out for a tiny fraction of what I expected!!! I am thrilled to have found this practice!

The dental hygienists and front desk staff are friendly, gentle, and kind. Dr. Allen is very personable and helps you understand what is going on in your mouth. The new building is really gorgeous. I was lucky enough to go there once after they redid it a few years back. It's very homey feeling. I really miss being a patient there, but I've since moved out of state and cannot drive to Kzoo just for a dentist appointment! I like that they still have the 'no cavity club' - of course these days all the pictures are digital and on the website - when I was a kid they took a polaroid of us and pinned it up in the waiting room. :) If you're lucky enough to go to Dr. Allen, I envy you!

Sadist is the word for this man. The only positive reviews come from people completely under to not witness his atrociousness! I had to the ER for a perforated sinus cavity under the violent hands of Dr. Hyland. Not only preforated - he left nothing. Every time I needed to spit during the extraction, he sighed. As I was choking on pieces of my teeth he told me not to spit on him and breath through my nose. Blood was running down my face, he wouldn't let the nurse suction properly or even give her time to do her job. He spoke disrespectfully to his nurses, throwing his weight around. You could sense his discontent, particularly towards women. I cannot recommend this dentist. He should be in jail for torture. Beware! As I wrote this review, he returned to say the tooth was difficult to extract as to explain his poor behavior - I've had multiple extractions, but this was different--forceful grabs of my face, clumsy tool usage, I have lacerations in my upper lip from his tools. Intential roughness. I had tears running down my face. Shaking because even my body realized the trauma/and danger it was in. I have come back to edit this review now twice throughout this process. I have also attached a photo so that you can see the comparison. He not only removed my tooth he literally decimated my bone and all the way into my sinuses. I was in the ER then seen by an additional oral surgeon where I likely will have to have a sinus lift. This doctor should never be in practice. After several calls and multiple offices turning me away, Centre Smile Dental said, "Of course -- come in now." From the moment I walked into the Paw Paw location, I was welcomed with smiles and compassion. I filled out paperwork, had X-rays done, and before I knew it, after thorough consultation with Doctor Joseph, I had two teeth extracted due to a severe infection. People don't realize how dangerous a mouth infection can become if left untreated -- it can spread to the bloodstream or even the brain. Within 20 minutes of the extractions, I already started feeling relief. I'm incredibly appreciative that Centre Smile Dental was willing to see me on such short notice, especially right before a holiday weekend and being an out of towner. I was a bit nervous since I hadn't seen a dentist in 2 years but everyone was kind, compassionate, and kept me informed throughout the visit. Pam was thorough but gentle and frequently checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok. They don't rush. They get to know you. They truly care about the health of your mouth and teeth (as well as your comfort). They also listen to you and take your opinions/experiences into consideration. For example, after switching from an expensive, hard nighttime mouth guard (that I found very uncomfortable) to an OTC soft one several years ago, I had two past dentists tell me that the soft ones are virtually useless. Dr. Sarantos told me to keep using it if it's working for me. Finally, they respect your financial situation and don't guilt trip or push services at you-they advise and educate and then leave it up to you. Very impressed!
