Amid of social media boom, it is actually getting harder to figure out if a company is really good or a fake. I am glad that we picked SIMS for our new HVAC system installation. The team is professional, courteous, timely, honest, and price competitive in what they do - what more can I ask for? The positive feeling starts with the proposal process all the way through post installation. We had some weird p-trap issue, but the team is more than willing to be accommodating to address those. A good company is not defined when things go well but rather when things turn south. SIMS certainly checked off this box for us as well. We are still waiting for city permit, for which we don't anticipate issues (and frankly I have the confidence that even if there is any, SIMS will take care of them for me). Now that is a priceless feeling (and I am glad there are still plenty of honest and quality people exist after all the craziness of the pandemic and all the other sagas in the last couple years). Recently had two ACs and furnaces replaced by SIMS. Our units were 20+ and 15+ years old. We received 3 quotes before deciding on this company. They were straightforward, reasonably priced, and professional. In addition to the new units they recommended some upgraded duct work that greatly reduced the noise from the upstairs unit's intake vent. They were so patient in providing additional quotes as we explored a 2 speed and variable speed units as well as answered questions about different thermostat options. In the end we went with the Trane XR 14 they originally quoted us. It was the choice that made the most economical sense. On the install date they arrived promptly at 8am. Installation and clean up was completed by 5pm. Everything looks great and best of all, runs great. The new Trane condensers are so incredibly quiet! I've been using SIMS for over 5 years now. Initially, I was having issues with my airflow and wanted to know what the route cause was. SIMS came and discovered that not only did I have several tears in my existing ducting but also had a carbon monoxide leakage. They redid my ducting and fixed the carbon monoxide issue. Thank God my attic had enough ventilation for the carbon monoxide and did not harm my family in anyway. Most recently, SIMS installed a new 5-Ton AC unit with heater. The price was more than fair and quality of work was exceptional. Dave with SIMS answered any questions and concerns I had and was extremely professional. This company is just MARVELOUS! I have my 2 AC units moved from the back of the house to the sides, back in January of 2017. I have one of the "Super Homes" by Lennar in Rosena Ranch and it was a challenge to get those units moved from the backyard where the builder set it, to the side of the house which was suitable to get to maximize the area in your backyard. I have researched a lot of HVAC around my area, most especially in Yelp. SIMS had a great rating, so I called them up. They did not disappoint! Spoke to Dan, the owner of the the company, and he had tremendously worked with me very professionally, and also in a very personal level. He understood the project I was about to do, with one of the concrete company that I also yelped, and knew the timeline I was trying to hit. Price was very reasonable! His son, also partner, John, and Isaiah have came to the house and did a very thorough job. They moved the copper tubings, and electrical from the back to the sides; recharged my lines; test and ran the system multiple times. and Viola! Such professional work! Then they came the next day and John did and excellent job. John and this company are highly trained professional and I recommend them to and home owner with a/c problems Excellent work. I'm a middle class income worker and I trust this team. They have respect for your house, they wear shoe covers and are well prepped. SIMS installed 2 HVAC systems at my house in 2017 and 2020. It was a great experience. A couple weeks ago, the heater stopped working on one of them. They were out the next day and fixed the problem - no charge as it was still under warranty. Yesterday they came out to do routine maintenance on both units. Once again, the staff are very pleasant and professional - John, Freddy, and Dave. They also use a texting system for appointment reminders, plus they text you when the technician is on the way. I originally called SIMS in late 2015 to get an estimate for a split system - for the house I had just purchased. Dan showed up at the house and was very friendly and professional. The estimate was very good in comparison to a few others I had received during that time. I decided not to have the new install done at that time due to many other projects that were requiring my attention and $$. Fast forward 4+ years and I once again called Dan out to the house for an estimate. Again, he was very professional, friendly, and provided a very reasonable price for the system. It was finally go time to replace the 40 year old system! Dan was very informative on how the process would go, when exactly it would be done, who would show up to the house to perform the work, etc. Last Friday was the system removal, this past Monday they installed the condenser unit and today (Thursday) was the coil and furnace. It was typically a one day job but they were flexible and came back a second day because I wasn't ready with the work I needed to complete first. And Dan was nice enough to offer to bring me a few space heaters to assist in keeping the family warm while the system was down. Bob and Freddy teamed up to complete the job, with Bob doing most of the furnace install. I hung around like a helicopter because I'm always eager to learn something new about the trade. And Bob is a cool guy who went the extra mile to make sure that all of my questions were answered and explained every detail about the system. The end result was great!
