The renting men came and add a gas sediment trap and reviewed how to turn on/off gas, restart the pilot and reviewed Emergency hazards . I was getting bids for a plumbing project so I called and asked for someone to come out. They came an hour later! John the owner came to bid the job and he was amazing. So nice. So polite. I had a hydro-jet service for my kitchen sink drain that was probably clogging up for the lifetime of the house. It was $585 and my kitchen sink drains well now thankfully. The first plumbing company to come out to take a look suggested a full re-piping for over $3k. The second time I called Western Rooter, I needed a PRV installed. They quoted over $800, and "generously" offered to cap a leaking sprinkler valve (which would cost a $2 cap and 10 min of work) for free. After calling again, my estimate was altered to give a 5% returning customer discount. A PRV would cost about $150-$200, or slightly more, so is the additional $600 worth it for the travel and labor? For me personally it is not. Then came in the emails and texts about leaving a review IMMEDIATELY after a visual estimate. So finally, here's my review! Hence the 3 stars, I'm pretty sure they do a great job (again, my kitchen sink works!) but it just sucks being a homeowner trying to find a fair and honest plumbing service. The good thing is, someone DOES answer the phone, and scheduling is easy. When you're not the expert, you rely on others to help you do the job (often in emergency situations) but you have no clue if it's fair. read more

We had landscape/patio drain issues that required extensive work and Elias, Ryan, and Cesar worked for 8 hours to resolve our drain issues. I'm exceptionally particular with people working on my home and remarkably I felt comfortable with Elias and Ryan coming back a second time to address our drain issues. I trust Elias and Ryan, that's hard to say in a repair industry, but I'm comfortable saying it.
