    Red curry

This place is soooo good ! It's a hidden gem really. The staff are great. The food is excellent. I got the red curry chicken and it was supreme !! The waitress was so sweet to me and even brought me out something to my car I left inside. They need to get their pot holes fixed in the parking lot but it's still a killer spot !

pad Thai mild spicy with a kick

Food was good fresh and tasty. Ordered on Uber for home deliver however I just moved and had no flatware and disappointed none provided. Make sure to request. Able to eat the spring rolls not the Pad Thai. Did taste it was spicy and yummy. Tomorrow for lunch.

The authenticity in this food is off the chart. Such a quaint spot but man does the flavor pack a punch!!!!! Everything I have tired was made with love Enjoy!!!!

This is all the onions. I like some onions but not that money!

See below ordered the curry and got onion soup! Way too many onions . Picture listed is all the onions taken out. Hardly anything else!

DO NOT EAT HERE! BUGS IN THE FOOD! Tonight I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the Tom Kha soup for take out. I found this cricket/roach/bug in my soup once I got home. I am absolutely disgusted.

We go here all the time but this is my first time ordering sushi. Needless to say, I WILL be ordering it again and again!

I have no doubt that this place is going to become my prime spot in the Hermitage/Madison area for Thai Food! This is the real deal! Great menu which offers a lot of variety! You can everything from pad Thai to sushi to bubble tea. Friendly staff and great service! The Tom Kha soup was absolutely wonderful. Packed with flavor, rich, and mildly sweet. Green Curry. It was good! Tasted very "green" and earthy. Panang Duck. Nom nom! Large portion of duck fried(or steamed) to perfection, served on a bed of cabbage and smothered in panang curry! A must try if you like duck!

To follow up with you Richard. I noticed that Postmates doesn't do pickup with simply Thai. Can you aware that customers can only order delivery with Postmates? If so, that's okay.

From what I was aware of Postmates, Doordash, and for sure Grubhub uses us to deliver.

Is this business open for pickup via postmates? I don't mind calling to make my order. But that would be so much easier. Thanks

Yes we have Postmates, Doordash and grubhub that uses us.

Is Simply Thai still open? We've tried to go twice now for lunch and the door was locked and lights out. Mind you, we go right at 11 or shortly thereafter. Perhaps they need to change their hours to 11:30?

I drove by there Wednesday night 2/21/18 and they were open.

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!

It rivals the high-end sushi restaurants in downtown Nashville, and in many ways, it beats them. The fish is consistently exceptionally fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the restaurant is spotless every time. The staff is warm, attentive, and efficient -- food comes out quickly whether you're enjoying a sit-down dinner or stopping in on a tight schedule. Must-tries: * Avocado Bomb -- unique, stunning, and packed with flavor. * Tuna Lover Roll -- pro tip: ask for the crispy fried scallions (not listed anymore, but they'll add them if you ask -- and it takes the roll to the next level!). * Yellowtail Hamachi -- fresh, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. They also have fantastic lunch bento boxes -- ideal if you want a little bit of everything. Options like bulgogi, katsu, and chicken teriyaki make it easy to get a balanced, filling lunch on the go without sacrificing quality or flavor. Pricing is very fair for the quality -- not the cheapest spot in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for: premium ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a consistently great dining experience. Whether it's date night, a family meal, a business lunch, or a quick midday sushi craving, Mari Ichi always delivers. Friendly service, fresh fish, fast kitchen, and consistently excellent food -- what more can you ask for? Can't wait for my next visit!

I knew I wanted something a little more elevated than fast food but nothing overly fancy (for which you should always do dine in). After striking out with my first choice, I came across Maru. I didn't know if it was related to the other Maru restaurants found around Middle Tennessee. I assumed it was (bad assumption? I'm asking) and, led by my good experience at Maru in East End, I made my way to Maru Iyagi.* Hoofing it, I took notice of how inviting the shopping center where the restaurant is located is. It was a reminder that Hendersonville has money (said in my best Quinta-before-*she*-had-money voice). Because of all the flim flammery involved in me looking for a restaurant, I ordered later than I'd planned. This was a mistake. Food workers don't like last minute orders. I get it. I was once one. I didn't like them. I walked in to a mostly empty dining room and bothered service. I get it. Not wanting to be (more of) a burden, I opted for fried rice rather than being so involved as to order sushi. I added shrimp (for protein) to my rice for an extra $3. I walked in, approached the hostess, asked for my order, was led to the bar area, got my food very quickly after that (ruh roh, Shaggy), thanked everyone profusely, and walked back to my hotel. The rice was... okay. Granted, it's fried rice and not a complicated order but I was a bit taken aback by how quickly it was ready. My $3 shrimp were small and hard to come by. This was not a meal made with love. Again, I get it. I've been there. Noted. If there's a next time, I'll be sure to get my order in early. The majority of customers seem to be fans. *Ichi.

The food was so good that even though it's been a couple of weeks since I went to the restaurant for dinner, I'm still thinking about it. I will very likely be ordering more things next time! This is a no-frills, smaller restaurant inside a strip of stores in a questionable-looking area of town. As I parked the car, I thought twice about actually going in, but based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was clean inside, and, as I mentioned, the service and staff were 5-star! My food was where it went wrong for me. I started with the summer rolls (the ones in rice paper); they serve sushi and Thai food here. I have been craving summer rolls; I love the freshness of the mint and herbs, combined with crunchy peanuts and peanut sauce. However, that fell short for me here. The peanut sauce was reddish and tasted more like ketchup, so that was a letdown. No little peanuts anywhere in the sauce or on the plate. It was jam-packed with iceberg lettuce, which you would typically put on a Taco, so it wasn't very fresh-tasting, and it contained the tiniest piece of shrimp I've ever seen inside. Following my gut, I decided not to order my usual sushi selection, which is always raw, unfried, and unsauced. However, I decided to play it safe, so I opted for a Mexican roll instead. I asked for no eel sauce, but I should have also specified that I wanted spicy mayo on the side. It covered my roll, and I had to use a napkin to remove what I could. This is usually a roll that is around $6 to $10, but for some reason, they were charging $14. They made the rolls bigger, but not by filling them with more shrimp, avocado, etc.; instead, they added more rice. This may be someone's cup of tea, but it wasn't mine, and I won't be back, but wish them the best!

Parking was easy, and the inside was clean and modern. Rahul greeted me and took me to a table along the wall so I could sit on the cushy booth side. He explained the menu as a mash-up of the top five dishes from each of the Maru locations, a regional restaurant group led by a woman entrepreneur. I started with a Sapporo on draft and got carded, which made me smile. With the cold crisp beer in hand, I ordered from the regular and specials menus (after learning uni has sold out): Baja fresh maki (spicy tuna, green onion, cilantro, jalapeno, avocado, yellowtail) with ponzu 1 order (2 pieces) of ora king salmon nigiri 1 order (2 pieces) of otoro (fatty tuna belly) 1 negitoro temaki 1 spicy scallop temaki From the original order, the spicy scallop temaki and baja fresh roll came out first. The accompaniments included real wasabi, which was not listed on the menu, so that part was not my favorite, However, the scallop was fresh and flavorful. The baja fresh roll was so decicious, and I ate it all before the next food was ready! When the nigiri platter arrived, I learned the otoro was also unavailable so it was substituted with chutoro (medium fatty tuna). This was still beautiful and fresh, and I appreciated the honesty. I was only charged for regular maguro and not the price of the special. The chutoro was seasoned by the chef and very flavorful. The ora king salmon was delicious too, but I did need a tiny bit of soy sauce on it to counterbalance the wasabi. The negitoro temaki was absolutely oishi! It led me to order one more temaki, the spicy yellowtail, and I requested no fresh wasabi since it was listed as an ingredient on the menu. I enjoyed this last bite while chatting with Rahul and learning more about him. He then surprised me with some strawberry and pineapple mochi for my birthday week! Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the great service, and the high quality food. There is a huge menu so it would be fun to come back with more people. Itadakimasu!
