I stopped by Simply Pho for lunch after a dentist appointment nearby. I was pretty hungry and didn't check Yelp beforehand--just walked in with no expectations. I ended up being really pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Seafood Pho, and they gave a generous amount of seafood with lots of variety, and it was reasonably priced. The shrimp in the pho was clearly fresh, not frozen, which is a big plus. The place was clean, and the staff was super friendly, checking in on us during the meal. We also ordered a bahn mi, and they thoughtfully provided utensils with it. To top it off, the owner brought us a tasty hot dessert on the house and even warned us not to burn our mouths! Unplanned stop on our way up to LA, and I am so glad we did so. To start, we had the fried tofu. The presentation and garnishing really added to the flavors. I had the house special pho, and it really hit the spot. It was a nice ratio of meats to noodles to broth, and it was flavored really well. My friend had the vermicelli bowl and is still contentedly sighing with a happy stomach. The restaurant itself was very clean and pretty. The tables were spaced out nicely. Nice little place to get your fill for Vietnamese food. Ever popular is the various pho options but the Com Thit Nuong with pork, and the Cornish Hen are my go to options. Wait has never been too long, price is reasonable, staff is friendly, and you receive a small warm tapioca cup as a post meal dessert. Overall, good place to casually try out. I really wanted Pho cause it was one of the first rainy nights of the year and I was craving something hot. The food itself was really good, i went in there and ordered to- go. I ordered the shrimp pho and egg rolls and waited about 15 mins. The guy at the front that helped me was super nice and he gave me my drink and offered a refill if needed while i wait. As i was waiting the line started going out the door so it was obvious that the ambiance was a catchy vibe. I usually have a hard time choosing between toppings, so why not both? All of the utensils, napkins, and sauces (oyster sauce, sriracha, chili oil) are on the table. Great little hidden gem located in orange. I came across this restaurant when driving to my regular lunch spot lol. The wait time to be served is about ten minutes which is pretty fast.
