Purchased a usb type c connector to a HDMI cord for SIMPY hardware instead of an Apple product that cost more. Now I regret the decision to go cheap. After 2 weeks the hardware does no work and cannot return it. No use replacing it because it was so unreliable . Bought and Apple product name bran that works great to attach to an HDMI connector on our receiver. Do not buy Simply hardware, it does not work. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. Please do not spend your money here. Employees are unprofessional and rude. I am 100% sure they did not fix my mac because I was on top of them with a timeline. Technician was extremely rude to me before I even gave my mac to them, then he completely ignored my requests for updates for 3 days until he called and couldn't give me a reason why it was broken and couldn't fix it. So, I spent $100 for them to do absolutely nothing and there was no way to prove that they did anything. Definitely do not trust anyone here with your devices. read more

I was sent to the Simply MAC store for an Apple Care repair. I was able to get my appointment online and when I showed up they were expecting me. They were friendly and quick. I returned later in the evening to pickup my phone and they did not charge me for the repair. Okay not gonna lie I had a terrible experience here about a year ago. When my laptop died, again, I was really avoiding going back. I eventually caved and was surprised by the service I received. They got me on the phone with a senior advisor at apple and had my computer repaired for free (minus back up charge.. nbd) even though my warranty had expired. AND they also told me it would take 5 days to fix and it took 3. They totally got their sh*t together after so many terrible years. Congrats to this simply mac. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these stooges. Let me explain in chronological order exactly why you don't want to deal with these ass-clowns: Nov. 18th - I phoned the store to advise them that my nano six generation was no longer working properly (would played music for two minutes and then shut off). I was advised by an employee that I could exchange my nano (8 gig-$65; 16 gig-$75) for a new one. When I showed up at the store an employee (Connor) stated that I could not exchange my 8 gig nano for a 16 gig. He also advised me that they had no 8 gig nanos in stock (which was not something he advised me over the phone). He said the new nano should arrive on Monday (Nov. 23rd). Nov. 23rd - I phoned the store and they stated that my nano had not arrived, yet, but should be in by Wednesday (Nov. 25th). Nov. 25th - I phoned the store and they stated that my nano was not delivered to the store because FedEx was not delivering packages due to snow on the airport runway (which was pure bullshit since my wife is a general manager at the airport and stated none of the runways were covered with snow and all of the airplanes were landing). Nov. 27th - I phoned the Mac store again and the employee stated that he did not know where my nano was and would not be able to locate it since all of the technicians called in sick. Nov. 30th - I phoned the store and the employee stated that my nano was still in transit. I advised him that I was promised to receive the nano by last week, and if I did not receive it by Wednesday (Dec. 2nd) I wanted my old nano back so I could exchange it for a new one when I was in Denver on Dec. 7th. He stated he could not return my old nano since he sent it into the company for the exchange. I advised him that I was tired of getting the "runaround" and it appeared that no one knew exactly where my nano was at. I advised him to have his manager call me. Within 10 minutes, the same employee called me back and stated he found my nano (quite miraculous, wouldn't you say?). I went to the store approximately three hours later and picked up my nano. They did not give a single apology for this debacle. As I stated before, until these guys pull their heads out of their asses, save yourself the frustration and just contact Apple directly. I don't know who is managing the store, but they need to be fired and all of the employees need to be schooled or fired, also. read more

The young man who assisted us was absolutely great. He had GREAT customer service that stands out even more in today's climate. It appeared that he wouldn't be able to assist us with our pbm at first but it worked out. Again, this gentleman had the greatest disposition, knowledge of computer-phone stuff and working with Apple support. I called this store and asked if they had series two of the Apple Watch in stock, and the woman said that they did. I walked into the store and asked where they were, and the man said that they were completely out of stock of the $369 and $399 versions. "We might have some more in the back, if you want to come back in a couple of days. The manager isn't here right now, so I can't go back and check for you." I'm disappointed that they wouldn't re-stock a product that they knew was running low. I have to drive all the way to Missoula just to purchase one now. Despite these complaints, the staff seemed pretty nice, which is why I am rating them two stars. If you have the choice of purchasing a product at an actual Apple Store, or even the Apple website, definitely do so. read more

Literally the worst service I have ever received. My Iphone 7 was showing "no service" all the time. Doing research on my own, I found that apple was doing free repairs on the model number for my Iphone 7 to fix this issue as it was a bug on their end. I brought the phone in to Simply Mac on March 6th and filled out the forms necessary to send the phone in. I asked Clayton if it would be possible to provide tracking information because need a phone ASAP for work. He told me that they can email me the information when it sent. I never received an email from them and decided to call a couple days after to get the information myself. Another employee answered the phone and said that my tracking information was in a large database and he would need a manager to get it, so he could not help me. Fine, I figured there was no arguing that and decided I would wait 5 days and call again. On March 12th I call and the employee that answered informed me that my phone is in the store and was returned due to water damaged, without being repaired. He told me that Simply Mac called my phone number to let me know on the 9th that it was ready for pickup. It is not logical to me to call someones phone number when they gave their phone in to be repaired..... Anyway, I come to pick up the phone at the store and mention to the employee that maybe calling the phone number of the person whose phone is being fixed isn't the best idea. He responded with "well you didn't provide another phone number", to which I asked him why they never emailed me. he responded with "we did send you an email". full stop. Upon getting home I checked both my inbox and spam and the only email I received was the one saying I had turned the phone in on the 6th. This has been an extremely irritating experience for me, as I feel the 3 days were wasted when I could have gotten a new phone. Not only will I never give them business again, I discourage anyone else from doing so. read more

I have been to big Apple stores, like the one in the Bellevue, Washington mall. The store in Bellevue was huge and packed with people. TODAY I took my MacBook Air to SIMPLY MAC in BOZEMAN. I couldn't say enough GOOD about the store or associates. I had an issue with my computer (undetected by MalWare). When we turned on the computer, the associate immediately pointed out an icon at the top I hadn't noticed. He removed it (I watched...) and problem (spinning, delays...) went away instantly! STORM needs to go to customer service school. He is rude, condescending and couldn't be the least bit bothered to help customers. He asked why I needed so many devices...my kids...why I had so many emails (in the cloud, not my device...hello) and told me he could only help me if my phone demonstrated the issue (phone would not work for about 12-hours and magically came back to life). Wouldn't run diagnostics, nothing. Just scrolled through my phone making comments. He literally told a couple "I really don't have time", "it will take about 20-mins." to test their iPhone battery...no problem they said, he then continued to sigh while doing the test. As another reviewer stated, he ignores, turns around and grumbles he's too busy. Oh, how I miss a true Apple store with great customer service. SimpliMac is a disgrace to the Apple brand. read more

I sent this to the manager of the Bozeman Simply Mac: Hello Casey, I just thought I would let you know that we are concerned about some very suspicious advice my friend received at your store, and that I shared this information with the store here in Missoula, where I've been treated extremely well. This is what I wrote them (some personal information redacted): I have been treated extremely well by the Missoula Simply Mac store, and I'm very happy with my iPhone. I switched to Macs decades ago, so an iPhone made sense, but just moving to a smart phone was daunting. The Manager and the staff were so kind and helpful to me that I almost felt guilty ;-) But since you have been so helpful, honest and such, I thought I should alert you to a potential "traitor in our midst" in the Bozeman store ;-). I've raved to everyone I know. I'm such a fan, I even convinced my x-boyfriend from the 1980's, now a hardcore Republican redneck cowboy..., ***********, to go with a used 2009 Macbook. When it started acting up, I advised he take it to Simply Mac in Bozeman. When he did, the employee couldn't turn it on, and simply told him it was toast, garbage, and that he had used computers for sale there. ****, who knows less than I about computers, told him to hold on, and showed him what it would do. Then the employee told **** that the computer had malware, but that he could install a new hard drive for around $230. But that new hard drive would not be compatible with things like Safari. Poor **** was even thinking about letting the guy do that for him, but I told him that didn't make sense to me. I told him to call the guy who helps me with my Mac, who told him it didn't make sense to him either. **** asked one of his friends who said the same thing. I just thought I should let you know because tragic stories are many times more memorable than nice ones like my experience with the Simply Mac store here in Missoula. If you have any questions, you can Call ******* at 406-*******. He's hard to get ahold of because he works during business hours and beyond. I am extremely pleased with the service I received from Storm, one of the experts at Bozeman's Simply MAC store. He really listened to the way I use my device and identified the correct model suited to my needs. When it was temporarily out of stock, he located it at a sister store and had it shipped in the next day. He didn't try to upsell me to a more expensive model that was more than I needed. I appreciate the time and extra effort he put into this sale and got me just what I wanted. read more

Was very disappointed in services. Not many mac stores around so even though I live out of town I drove the hour and half to get my computer worked on. They said they would need to keep it and the service department would get to it that week. After waiting over a week I called 8 times before finally someone answered and I asked if they had worked on it. No, they hadn't touched it yet. I said I was coming in the next day and would like to pick it up or do what needed to be done if they could please take a look. When I showed up the next day they still hadn't looked at it. Luckily I got a full refund but not for my time and two trips into town. They said they were having hiring issues but I would not take my computer back there. Anyone know of any place in Helena or butte that works on mac computers. There is always Missoula. read more

This place is a shit hole and they dont know what they are doing!!! They suck at their jobs and dont do anything in a timely manor. I was told I could pick up my phone and they had it fixed but then I was told it was still being processed, it is fixed and in your store just give it to me. 10 minutes in the store with my wife to by an iPad Pro and not one of the 4 employees on the floor even acknowledged we were there. I'll admit that after reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to take my Ipad problems to Simply Mac, but after visiting, I can only say positive things. I was waited on immediately by Pablo, who wore a trainee badge. He was courteous and extremely helpful. He assisted me downloading an app and was apologetic that it took so long. (It really didn't take much time). While waiting, I paid attention to the other staff and their interactions with customers. All of the technicians were polite, attentive and, in one instance, quick to admit that the problem was beyond his expertise; he quickly brought in a colleague who remedied the issue. We were sent to Simply Mac today by Verizon due to an issue with a new iPhone 8 not connecting correctly to wi-fi calling. The assistant manager came over to wait on us but seemed to have no understanding of wi-fi calling. On top of that his demeanor was bizarre. He was very abrupt with us, then it seemed like he realized he was being rude, so he was nice for a minute only to go back to being abrupt and rude again, then nice, then rude. Furthermore, he took the phone without asking and went into the back. We had no idea what they were doing in the back with the phone. Then he came out and asked for the password (!!??), again with no indication of what they were doing to the phone. Finally, he said that the tech was resetting the phone. It seems like all of that should be done in front of the customer so that anything being done appears above board. As it turns out all the tech did was turn the phone off and on again. The asst. manager then came out and tried to take my phone, which there was no way that was happening (and no reason for it). He attempted to tell me that wi-fi calling doesn't show anywhere on the phone and that it was on when the tab was toggled on. My phone clearly shows when wi-fi calling is on and he seemed surprised to hear this. As this guy was trying to work through the possibilities in his head he asked who our internet provider is, when I mentioned the company, he'd never heard of it and they are a major provider in Bozeman. It seems like he should have at least heard of this company, which made me question his "expertise" even more. All-in-all it was a terrible experience. I'd never been in that store before and will not go back. We left without the problem being resolved (obviously). Also, I was absolutely floored at the cost for their various services. We went in with no expectations other than to have a normal interaction and we were treated rudely. On top of that, it seemed like we knew more about how the phone worked than they did. read more

I brought in my MacBook Pro, with a cracked screen, to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. After they spent 15 minutes with it in the backroom, they came back and said it would be ~$780. Wow. That sucks. I took a picture of the screen, sent it to get an online estimate (for free), and within 10 minutes had a response, with specific directions on how to fix it myself. Turns out all I needed was a heat gun and new bezel, which cost $20, and took about 20 minutes to fix. Now my screen is perfect again. Get a second opinion before using this business. read more

Had a basic upgrade of a macbook pro that was slowing down after 3 years. Aside from some manageable differences with el capitan, all things seem to be working well, a bit faster, but at least upgraded. Staff were very helpful, didn't make undue claims, and did a nice job for a reasonable price. I would return for future issues (which I hope don't arise!). read more

The one-star rating is for Storm, not for the tech person who ACTUALLY helped us!!! Theresa wrote a review minutes after she left the store, and we can verify that she was correct: Storm was rude, condescending and dismissive, and AFTER Theresa walked out, he said, "Sorry that the phone was actually working" under his breath as she left the store. We were the couple that wanted our batteries checked; he told us it would take 20 minutes, that the batteries would come in 3-4 weeks, and we should make another appointment. He was unbelievably unhelpful, but a young tech person walked over and did a battery check on both our phones in about 7 minutes. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and the contrast between his service and Storm's non-service caused me to write this review--minutes after we walked out! If you are so unlucky as to draw Storm as your support tech or sales person, ask for someone else!!! read more

I got a virus on my laptop (I know, my fault), but I was really bummed that I had to pay $75 (that's quite a bit for a college student). However, I needed my smart machine, so it had to be done. The guys explained what was wrong with my laptop and told me to leave it at the store. After waiting for their call for a few hours, I finally drove to the store. They apologized for not calling back, and fixed everything. Luckily, they didn't even charge me anything because they didn't call me back. I guess simple human error turned out in my favor.
