No stars, worst customer service, worst price. I tried to cancel my plan, the store said I need to call corporate. Called corporate, they said they could email me an itemized statement and cancel my bill. Charged me with a late fee, then they said a month later that they couldn't email me an itemized invoice via email, only over snail mail. read more

SCAM! I received a "free phone" from VERIZON, delivered to my door by UPS. When I opened the box, it said $30 per month! Not my definition of free! Took it to the office, was told if I had opened the inside box it would have been a $30 restocking fee...for a phone I didn't order and didn't want! read more

After waiting for over an hour at the Verizon store on 29th Street in Bozeman, MT I was directed to a young salesman. I wanted to bring in my phones and get the "free phones' that were advertised everywhere on tv and posters. He was a bit dismissive (probably because everyone was coming in for their free phones which he couldn't give them unless they upgraded to the most expensive plan there was) He said it didn't make sense for me to do that. He went on to say I could trade in my phones for market value, which for some reason was $415 each for my husband's older iPhone 8 and my iPhone 14. The 14 should be more. I never received any paperwork for my phones and I didn't even know how to work my new phone. He was with me walking through the transferring of data for my husbands phone and then left me there and went to lunch. To be fair he was probably with me for over an hour. Getting a phone at Verizon is a half day project. I got an email saying something about my cell phones were only worth $70 each and then something that says the trade-in was worth $0. I am really confused and a bit ticked off. I tried to find their phone number, which of course gave me the 800 number, which is why I drove in from Anaconda (90 miles).... I was on the phone with Verizon for three hours without any results and decided to come in to the office to get my issues resolved. I am confused and need to talk to the manager. After multiple calls and a couple of more chat sessions with Verizon customer service, I returned to this Verizon store a week later and they accepted my trade-in but could only provide a small credit back to my account (a third of the initial promotion trade-in value). The store representative indicated Verizon should correct the trade-in value within 30 days. I do appreciate the assistance of this representative that was both helpful and apologetic for my situation. Unfortunately, after waiting a full billing cycle, I called Verizon customer service again to see why the trade-in wasn't corrected. It required another hour to reexplain the situation before the customer service representative was able to correct the trade-in. While I've been assured the issue is now resolved, I need to wait another few days to verify the correction shows up in my account. At this point I have lost confidence in Verizon and have an unsettling feeling that the issue will linger. I'm profoundly disappointed in Verizon for this customer experience that all started because someone at the Verizon store cancelled my trade-in because they didn't know how to verify it was the correct device. What should have been a ten-minute drop-off process with very little time cost for me (or for Verizon) has turned into several hours of wasted time for me and a loss of goodwill and confidence in this company. read more

If you want to experience technological bureaucracy in action call Verizon on 29 th st Bozeman. It is so bad, especially for a communication company. My Apple Watch died and I was told I had to buy a safety plan for $25. Turns out that's per month, I called Verizon and actually spoke with a real person that determined I didn't need the plan because I already have one and it would be replaced free. I continue to do business with these folks, but am never really happy. The actual people at the store are great. The process Verizon has in place for activating phones and assistance is horrible. It took over 4 hours to get set up on a new phone and get my partner set up on my old device. 4 HOURS!!! read more

Skylar was quite the sassy boy. i brought my phone in to return it because I did a trade in, i was told (by the people at the store on 7th) that the corporate store would help me. As soon as i get to the corporate store, skylar takes the box with the phone that needs to be returned, rips the paper out of the box, and tells me i don't have a trade in available? honey, the paper and my account both say what needs to be said. The disrespect and disregard for a customer, who is frantic to get this phone returned, is unfathomable. Clearly somebody didn't want their commission. read more

Terrible service from the Bozeman Verizon. They wouldn't even acknowledge that we walked in for 10 minutes. Once I finally got someone's attention, they wouldn't even speak to me since I didn't have an appointment. He didn't offer anymore info about how to even make one. Someone needs to teach them customer service skills. There were older people in line that received the same poor service. Very disappointed. read more

Bozeman has ONE Verizon Corporate Store. Everything else you see in Bozeman is an authorized retailer. The way this store treats longterm Verizon customers who are Loyalty Customers like me who have been with them about 20 years is shameful and downright disgraceful. I've made appointments there and have arrived early in the morning like today and still have had to wait for over 30 minutes. So, I asked one of the reps about it and was told that if someone walks in who wishes to buy something, they are seen first. I watched carefully today and some people walked in who had questions and weren't buying, and they were seen right away. So, what's up with that? After checking Cellular Plus, Costco and Verizon, I chose to buy my new iPhone 11 from Costco. The phone, screen protector and case all cost less and I received a large rebate on my trade-in. Plus, I made a large down payment which gave me points on my Costco membership and miles on my Visa. I'm so glad I did because I have received far better treatment and customer service at Costco than Verizon Corporate in Bozeman. Today one of the reps at the Corporate Store on 29th basically told me he didn't wish to serve me because I had not purchased my phone from him (their store). He said, "I'm not making any commission on this." So, what's the point of being a Loyalty Customer with a company if it means nothing to the people who are there to support you? Also, I'm not happy about how difficult it is to connect with a LIVE rep over the phone. It took me awhile to figure it out how to get to a LIVE rep, but I still have to wait a significant amount of time. To Manager of Verizon Store Bozeman: I've been in your store 3-4 times since Tuesday. I know you're slammed with business, but I was treated very poorly. I am a Loyalty Customer. While there's only one person at the kiosk in Costco, they went out of there way to take care of me. Yesterday, Kenny made it clear to me that he really wasn't interested in serving me because I bought my phone at Costco and he won't get a commission. I was deceived thinking Cellular Plus was a Verizon Store but it's not. I jumped through a lot of hoops to return my first phone to buy from Verizon, but in the end I bought my phone at Costco mostly because of price for the phone, screen protector and so forth. read more

Been to this store several times. they have no idea of customer service! if you have a phone issue they don't want to help resolve the issue, just sell you a new phone. My phone was stuck in reboot. he said the had no computer to connect it to to restore it. In a Verizon Corporate store they have no computers???? I see plenty laying around. Both times they sent me across the street to apple. What company does not know their product and make a attempt to help? Verizon Corporate store in Bozeman. All they are interested in is their pocket be lined with commissions. I went in on one occasion for a upgrade. the salesperson was less than honest. Told me I had to purchase a new phone. Great experience getting a phone and accessories today. Saleswoman was friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. We did have to wait a bit and it would have been nice to have video or print material to look at our options during that time, but otherwise, a great experience. read more

If I could give extra stars for Micheal's service I would. We all dread changing phones. Had to exchange five phones and combine acts. Spent over 2 hrs changing from iPhone to Samsung. We knew it was going to be a mess to clean up. Not only did Michael go above and beyond but manager assisted and so did the entire team in a positive manner and stayed well after closing on a Sunday to make sure we had what we needed and it was done right! My service don't work dropped texts and calls, they some don't show two months of payments that I made, and wouldn't let me access my own Verizon account for months because they made up a new code that I couldn't access and we're absolutely zero help. Let me tell you a story about my customer service experience with verizon. Yesterday I went online to switch from my current service which is straighttalk to verizon. Did the setup online went and picked up my phone at the store. Everything was fine. When I got home I attempted to port my phone number from straight talk to verizon. For some reason I was unable to do so. So I called the help line, that was listed where i was trying to port my number online. Not only did I have an insane wait time but once I was finally able to talk to a person I just kept being bounced from department to department. No one helped me. Finally I was so frustrated I decided I didn't want anything to do with verizon. The next day I went to return the phone and they CHARGED ME A 50 DOLLAR RESTOCKING FEE. The girl let me know that if i wanted a refund I would have to call customer care. I called customer care they said only the manager of the local store could refund me. I talked to the manager and he said he could not refund my restocking fee because I don't have an account for him to credit. I called customer care and asked to talk to a supervisor because I wished to lodge a complaint about the terrible customer service I received while trying to become a new customer. After i got ahold of someone and asked for a supervisor I was put on hold to wait for said supervisor and then promptly disconnected. I would not recommend verizon to anyone. I will be going with AT&T. read more

Wonderful staff! Lorsey was the associate that helped me and she was great! Thorough knowledge of the products and services. She was able to give me a full upgrade (which I love!) and an add on of the Apple Watch shipped to home. Before opening they were busy and had a line but were able to help everyone within a timely manner with just a few mins wait time. Highly recommend!! They said they had the phone in stock, waited an hour and a half, they didn't have the phone in stock. Many display models were either broken or outdated, or were displayed in such a way that they were untestable (why can't I try on over-the-ear headphones?) Staff were not very knowledgeable or helpful. Go to one of the authorized retailers in Bozeman instead. read more

Usually I am very happy with Verizon. I purchased a new phone a few months back and the glass screen protector has cracked. Thankfully for me it was the protector not the phone. However, not thankfully for me the person who set up my phone was a wham bam thank you mam kind of sales staff and sent me on my way. I felt happy with the hardware set up, happy with the phone and happy with the service. But what I'm not happy with is that after he placed the screen protector on my phone he didn't send me with any information on the simple fact that there's a warranty. I go into Verizon to replace my screen and come to find out if you register your purchase it's warrantied for life. Since the associate did it for me and didn't send me with any information there was no way for me to know this was needed and even how to do it. Of course I could have asked but tell me one person that's gone into the Verizon Bozeman and has felt calm and fully aware of what's going on. It's always chaos and so busy you could finish a game of RISK before being assisted. The associate made his commission, Verizon made another sale but I, again as many consumers, am the one paying the price tag on a new protector since there was no actual customer service. Also, the woman inviting people into the store was very kind and super helpful. The sales manager, although she was kind and listening to me, only mentioned that they're working on training their staff to be better with actual service and not sales only. She acknowledged that the sales staff has not always been the best at fully assisting customers but that they're working on it now. As positive as that is, it just makes me feel like I'm a few months too late on a positive experience post purchase. read more
