I pulled off the highway for the nearby rest area but decided to pop over here and see what I might find. I was in luck, nabbing a really nice warm pullover on the clearance rack for only $9! Marked down 75%, it fit well and looked great. I pretty much work it for the next three days of cold weather as I drove across Montana to Illinois. I love target because it's always clean and easy to find items your shopping for. A quick stop in Bozeman proved to be another super clean target - and this one has some of the best displays I've seen! Staff was also super friendly and helped me open some items post-payment with their scissors (I'm traveling and had items that I would have struggled to open otherwise). I was very disgusted by this location it is filthy. Especially the bathrooms. Porta potties seem cleaner than this place. I'm surprised corporate would allow Target to not value cleanliness. I think this Target is in dire need of an upgrade. It feels dark and dingy, cramped, and hard to find what you need. I can never find an employee to help me and there are always long lines for self checkout and minimal cashier checkout lines open so those lines also get very long. I feel like the community may have out grown this location. They either need to expand the store or build a second location to accommodate the growing Bozeman area. I have used the drive up order feature and I really enjoy that experience. But overall, I think this location needs some updating and expansion. read more

Emily G. was the barista at the Target store this AM while I shopped not only was she super cheery at 7:15am but she got my order perfect and I enjoyed my coffee while I shopped then when I went back to grab a drink for my husband before leaving the store she had remembered my name and was there solo but absolutely hustling. I'm increasingly disappointed with Target. Customer service is very poor. For example I can't even remember the last time someone asked me if I was finding what I was after. I have to go find one of them and they act like I'm bothering them. Their lines are too long. Recently I purchased some mascara that was clearly listed for sale, but when I got to the checkout and it wasn't registered with the discount. This Target in Bozeman never has stocked shelves and when you need someone you can't seem to find an employee.... BECAUSE they are all standing up front twiddling their thumbs. It seems like there are too many managers who stand around and do nothing. Also when employees do happen by they are never friendly and seem to want to run away from you as fast as they can. I have bad experience after bad experience at Target. When my wife and I got married, we apparently seemed like a couple who needed breakfast griddles. We got 7 of them as gifts. We attempted to take them back (no receipts as no one provided gift receipts) and were told by customer service we had to call the gift giver and request their credit card info to do return. While that sounds like a brilliant idea we passed. Came back another day thinking that would help. The employee outright accused of running a theft ring. Why else would one get married. She called a manager over, and I mentioned we were just accused of running a theft ring. The managers response was "Well it is odd you are asking for 6 skillets to be returned..." after mentioning the while marriage thing she pulled up our registry. Then states "no one marked they got you a skillet..." Well captain obvious that's why we got 7. They wouldn't return a single one. Another time we got a corporate Mattel gift card from a toy that was broke. Stating take to any retailer that sells our products. Get to the checkout and a manager says we aren't accepting those. No explanation. Honestly don't think the manager knew but refused to ask someone else. I could go on, but you've been warned. Target sucks. read more

What has happened to Target? The shelves are never well stocked - everyday items are completely missing . This is evident on all days,at all hours. In addition it seems that sales have been reduced. They have clearance items but not everyday sale prices that are advertised above the items. Cartwheel is a giant hassle. Target used to be my go to store for everything. I good place for items that specialty stores over price. For example, auto items like oil, coolant and are cheaper than the auto store. Same with HBA instead of shopping at the pharmacy. While Target is not a one stop shop for everything they do cover a wide spectrum of goods. read more

I found some good sale items in the clearance department while I was browsing around the area. The size of this Target is decent and it seems to be well kept up and cleaned. The parking lot if big so you shouldn't have to worry about having to fight anyone for a spot or anything like that. They had the same stuff that my local Target does but this one might have been more stalked in certain items. It is in an area where you can see it and in convenient location and not far from other shopping so it would be a very convenient stop for someone to go to if they had to swing in to get one thing or were looking for a couple last minute items for a trip, or while here for a trip if they forgot something. I had finished shopping and went to pick up my order, I had my my purchases in my cart without bags because I keep my bags in the car. I'm waiting in line and the associate, Matt, asks me if I've been helped. I tell him no but instead of starting to help me he asks if I've paid for my items and then asks to see my receipt. Why? I'm literally still in the store, he has no reason to assume I'm trying to steal/didn't pay. Maybe because I'm the only non white person in the store, who knows. After he confirms I've paid (which I don't think is his job to do) he asks my name and goes to find my items. He finds one order and I try to explain that I had called ahead and they placed my item at the front desk but he keeps ignoring me, calling for back up to find an item that is literally right in front of him. I try explaining to other associates that my item is most likely at the front desk but of course no one listens. Finally I see my item and walk over to it, asking the associate if it says my name on it. It does. I get ready to leave and the fool Matt comes back asking where the item is. Homie was too concerned about the wrong things. Be better Target. This was just embarrassing to see. read more

Pretty basic Target. We get some of our daughters' clothes here, we find that usually you can find decent deals. I remember the days of way better clearance prices, but I suppose the recession is hitting everyone. I think they can afford to get a bigger selection of pet products to include grain free and more high end quality food, leashes and dog/cat carriers. It's a million times better than Walmart, even if they don't carry as much merchandise. People think Target is too expensive, however, buy a shirt for your kids at Walmart, then buy a similar one at Target, I'm willing to bet the Target item lasts longer. read more

NOW it's 500x more confusing, and while I'm walkng around trying to find Space Bags (there are several aisles scattered thru the store labeled "storage") I could not find a single employee to help me. Several years ago, I had a bad experience at Target when trying to return a heater we had bought that did not work as expected. As a result, I swore then that I would not be one of their customers. Well folks, the times have changed. They recently had a trade in program for old IPads and I was able to trade in my first generation Ipad and get a $200 gift card which I was able to use for a new Ipad Air. One of their stores in Billings held the new one for me so we could drive over and get it. The Bozeman store did the same thing for us with their Black Friday Ipad deal. I really appreciated that. It's a convenient place to go to seeing I live nearby but I'd rather go and drive the distance to another place for better prices. This store is getting just as bad as Walmart, i.e., everything picked over and items not replaced in a timely manner. Also, my debit card was declined at the register when there was more than enough money on it to cover the sale. The card readers are inferior, and the clerk was unambitious and not interested in running the card through her machine. She was lazy and it was obvious she didn't want to be bothered.
