When you walk in there's carts and baskets. In all honesty it doesn't really even look like a thrift store. All the things in here are super cute. It's very well organized and clean. I'm glad they only take the best because that's what you'll get. There's a ton of great finds and great selection. There's a down stairs too. They had a great book section. They also had a yarn section and a craft section that I thought was really cool. I found a pair of almost brand new vans for $8. Cost was amazing. Service was great. Definitely worth stopping by.

This store carries a lot, clothing for women, men, kids, kitchen supplies, books, cds, lamps, shoes and miscellany. They accept donations in the back where they sort everything. If it's dirty, broken, or looks worn, they will put it outside the front of the store as freebies. If you can work with that, help yourself. I stopped in about 8 different stores, but nothing was really speaking to my soul. It felt more like shopping in LA than what I thought Montana would be like. "Boz Angeles," as one of my uber drivers called it. I was dejected from not finding anything, and set off to meet the rest of the bachelor party at a steakhouse. It was then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw 2 rustic yellow chairs with a sign that read "Rare Bird Vintage." I entered into the small, highly curated space that is an ideal vintage shop. A healthy mix of clothing, old trinkets, bags, books, postcards, shoes, etc. The tags on everything have handwritten prices and notes on each individual item of when it's made. This attention to detail can only come from passion. I immediately pulled off a denim jacket off the rack and tried it on. The owner, Olivia, ran over and said "That looks so good on you, but I have another deadstock denim jacket from the early 90s that I think would look AMAZING on you." I tried it on and loved it, but it was slightly oversized. I'm really shy and insecure so I asked Olivia's opinion. "It honestly fits you perfect. It reminds me of something that I would see in Shibuya, this is a classic Japanese look." 90% of my personality is my trip to Japan and how much I love Japanese culture, so I had no choice. She and her mom, who also owns the shop, gave me a full rundown on how to wash this deadstock denim and why it is such a unique piece. You could just feel the passion oozing out of them. While checking out for both denim jackets, I found a sweatshirt for my girlfriend, a vintage coffee table book about Florence, and a cool Hokkaido pin. They carry women's clothing, jewelry, funny greeting cards, shoes, bags, lotions, perfumes they really have a little bit of everything. In addition to their new retail items, they also have a small upscale used section. I think even some of the vintage furniture scattered throughout the store is for sale. Very fun, everywhere you turn there is something fun to look at or even just a cute quote or joke to make you smile. I was impressed they carried women's sizes up to at least XXL. I thanked the owner for being inclusive with her sizing and she explained she runs the store with her sister. Make sure you stop in and support this women/family owned business. I found a unique reversible sweater, a space-dyed stretchy tank that has ruching on the sides to make it cropped or longer, a beautiful pair of pants from Liverpool brand, perfect for work (in fact, they carry some brands also sold at Nordstrom and other trusted retailers), and a super-soft long cardigan that also came in a few other styles/lengths. The salesperson said they had just gotten it in stock today and had already sold four of the pieces. (I happened to have accidentally pulled off one of my bracelets while in the fitting room and came back to ask if anyone had turned it in...and yes! Someone found it and they had it waiting for me at the front. Yay!) The service was beyond friendly and helpful. I heard the woman working there say hello to every single person that came in with a genuine warmth in her tone. She also gave us a few tips about the weekly Thursday community event, Music on Main, which my local friend had mentioned, and told us about how all the stores pull out their sale clothes and offer extra deals during this street fair-type event. All in all I'm so glad I walked into this store and I WILL be back before we head back to SD!
