Being from the NYC area, I was blown away by what I found at Recouture Consignment in Bozeman, Montana. Their selection perfectly reflected the local vibe and season--think Pendleton sweaters, Woolrich jackets, high-end ski gear, and other amazing winter finds. On top of that, they had plenty of designer and brand-name pieces at incredible prices. I scored a Marc Jacobs crossbody bag, some great plaid button-downs, a beautiful collection of scarves and shawls, and even some super cool jewelry. We visit the YC and Big Sky every year, and I will absolutely be making Recouture a must-stop again next trip. I can't wait to see what treasures they have waiting next time. My thoughts- I've stopped into Second Wind a few times over the years in search of gear/clothing for personal use, but have consistently walked away disappointed if not empty-handed because their pricing is exorbitant and stupidly inflated, and I have no shame in using that sort of verbiage. An example from today that caught me so off guard I did some research, subsequently leading me to writing this review- a heavily used & visibly stained/faded Patagonia vest listed at $115, which is $16 less than the retail price on Patagonia's own website ($131). In my opinion and personal experience, this is not an isolated case- a lot of their merchandise is significantly worn, sometimes even dirty, and still priced like it's barely been used. While I did find and purchase a cute pair of pants that were reasonably priced and in good shape today, it unfortunately doesn't negate the general pattern of overpricing. Selling gear in highly used and rough condition for near-retail prices undermines the whole point of secondhand shopping and if we're being honest, many locals have access to outdoor industry discounts that include the benefit of full warranties. Trying to resell deeply used gear at near-retail prices just feels exploitative in that context. Even online secondhand platforms like Depop tend to be far more equitably priced and transparent about quality. I'm all for supporting secondhand and local businesses, but not when it starts to feel greedy and borderline shady. Pricing like this erodes trust and defeats the purpose of resale. There are more transparent, affordable, and community-minded options out there-- please shop around.

Like many TJ Maxxes, everything is laid out by type of item. They have household goods, beauty, jewelry and accessories, men's and women's clothing as well as childrens, pet items, etc. They basically have everything but will they have exactly what you want, probably not. Will it be this season's stuff? Maybe or maybe not. This time round, my niece found some shoes she liked and it was cheaper than the ones we found at a different store. So we ended up returning the other ones. But if you have time to shop and look for stuff you've been thinking about buying, you may find a great deal! But check out can take a bit of time. They generally have registers open depending on the line length. And don't forget to look at the shelves in line before check out!

I was there today, and the hamburger buns were so flat, I thought two of them were the top and bottom half! They didn't rise at all! Then, when looking at the cookies, the ginger cookies had no icing on them at all, but used to have a big puddle on top. And the M&M cookies had the same fate as the hamburger buns---flat! There doesn't seem to be much quality control going on, and someone has either got the recipe wrong or the oven temps aren't right. The bakery used to be a real highlight of the store, but now it's just sad. It was at one time my main draw, but no more; Safeway's cookies look much better. Also---one more point, it would be nice if Rosaur's could provide diced veggies, such as onions, celery, peppers. They are a great help to people who work, as they save so much prep time. (Both Albertson's and Safeway have them.) Sadly looks like I may need to switch markets.

There was plenty of parking which is always nice. First thoughts were it seemed a bit disorganized. Or certainly not what we have experienced at other stores.  We felt that some items had limited selections otherwise we were able to get most of what we needed for our visit.
