Isle of Books (also Used Book Emporium) moved to this new location. I was never at the old…read morelocation, so I can't compare, but this shop has used books in every genre imaginable and even a few that aren't for all ages. I'm sure there's a logic to how it is set up, the sections are marked, but I still had a hard time figuring out the order. For me that's okay because I enjoy the browsing. The store was busy, with people dropping off and picking up books, including those picking up online orders. For those looking for something, the employees went out of their way to assist. There are a couple of chairs available for those who like to sit and read before they buy. Near the counter are hardcover books, old books, that always look great with an old-school library vibe, but stacked on shelves to the ceiling that made it difficult to see. I noticed a few school-subject books from the early 1900s that were an eye-opening adventure. The check-out process can be a small challenge if you're in a hurry and picked up a book that isn't marked with the price. Because Isle of Books also has a strong internet sales business, the manager may check the online price and then discount from that because the purchase is in-person, and they save on shipping. Books are scanned and entered into the computer system, but with the sheer number of books, things can be missed. In any case, I came away with a couple of old hardcover books that have been a fun and challenging read. Language and the readability of it have evolved in the last fifty-to-a hundred years. My least favorite part of this shop is the parking outside the building. There are only a few spots and one entrance to it so it can be frustrating and challenging to enter/exit and particularly in the winter as you snow mounts. Parking on the street is probably a better option. In any case, it's an incredibly fun store.

I never did get around to the books, it was all the other goodies! Bought a fountain pen and two replacement water color brushes (replacing the two our dog ate). And one of the woman that worked there and I had a great time chatting since we'd both been cartographers in our early lives, both had used hand cranked cash registers and had both lived in the Denver area, a few years even at the same time! Journaling has literally and honestly changed my life. Have you ever encountered someone who was an absolute master at their craft, and their love and passion for their business (hobby, work, field) is 100% contagious? That is how I feel about the employees here at Paper and Grace. Their love of fine pens, stationary, art, and related accoutrements, is absolutely infectious. I challenge you to find a store that practices such an exceptional customer experience and service. Anywhere. There is no restaurant, store, service, or business with the same commitment to and practice of customer service. The two injustice collectors from SoCal who left negative reviews may not have been used to exquisite customer service or how to use a pen. I can't believe you sully these fine people for attention and to build drama where there is none. The professional staff at Paper and Grace will clean and service any fountain pens you purchase for free. They will diagnose any hard writing, adjust, and clean your pens with a smile and on the spot. Your purchase is neatly wrapped with customized and beautiful wrapping tissue, placed in a beautiful bag, and presented to you. It's hard to explain the process, so if you are inclined to experience it, find any of their luxury, yet appropriately-priced, premium goods and ephemera, and enjoy the experience yourselves.

Like many TJ Maxxes, everything is laid out by type of item. They have household goods, beauty, jewelry and accessories, men's and women's clothing as well as childrens, pet items, etc. They basically have everything but will they have exactly what you want, probably not. Will it be this season's stuff? Maybe or maybe not. This time round, my niece found some shoes she liked and it was cheaper than the ones we found at a different store. So we ended up returning the other ones. But if you have time to shop and look for stuff you've been thinking about buying, you may find a great deal! But check out can take a bit of time. **November 2025: Saturday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were driving down Main Street and saw a big upscale resale sign. We thought it would be fun to check out so I made a quick turn to head to the parking lot. The store shares the building with a wine shop, but I was really surprised by the selection. Near the front entrance are an assortment of bags and when you walk a little further towards the windows they have a section of bargain pieces! There a $15, $20, and $25 short dress, jackets/outerwear section, and I believe a $10 tops section. The center section of the store had some really great designer pieces, but many were $100+, which is well above my price range for second hand. Nevertheless, if you go to the opposite side of the shop there's a whole section of items that are half off! There's a fun shoe section with some cowboy boots - though they just weren't my size *cries* They have a couple of mirrors around the shop as well as a dressing room, so it's a fun place to play dress up. I did find two jackets as well as a gold belt that I liked on this trip, so it was still a success! Hours Mon-Sat: 10am-6pm Sun: 12pm-5pm Parking: Plentiful Summary: This shop has an upscale boutique vibe to it. Items do tend to be on the pricier side, but I think if you really dig you can find some great gems!

Being from the NYC area, I was blown away by what I found at Recouture Consignment in Bozeman, Montana. Their selection perfectly reflected the local vibe and season--think Pendleton sweaters, Woolrich jackets, high-end ski gear, and other amazing winter finds. On top of that, they had plenty of designer and brand-name pieces at incredible prices. I scored a Marc Jacobs crossbody bag, some great plaid button-downs, a beautiful collection of scarves and shawls, and even some super cool jewelry. We visit the YC and Big Sky every year, and I will absolutely be making Recouture a must-stop again next trip. I can't wait to see what treasures they have waiting next time. You won't be disappointed.
