I might have tried a different souvenir shop if I had known there were two locations of this one in the airport but it looked so good from the outside and seemed to have a great selection so I don't regret coming in here for the things I wanted. The selection in this store is extensive. There is a lot to look at and something for everyone. We happened to be here during "Christmas-time" so there were a lot of ornaments and other Christmas things. I'm not sure if it's always like this but I liked the selection and the Christmas cheer. While I will say that prices are pretty high here, I was surprised that the pricing at the airport was exactly the same. To be honest, I would have not bought 3 small bottles of jam on Main St and bought a large one at the airport but hindsight is 20/20. I know for next time. The people working here were super friendly as well. We had a good conversation about visiting Bozeman while we were checking out and I wish I had spoken to them when I first arrived. read more

I ordered the cutest disco ball Christmas ornament with a cowboy hat on it. It was even better than in the picture. So MGC deserves 5 stars for just that, but what they did was even more than 5 stars. Somehow my address was copied down wrong and my ornament was delivered to a park across the street and I never got it. They called me and immediately sent me another one! I needed to get tools back home. Shipping them made sense. We put them in an envelope, and got them ready to send. That, in and of itself was enough. She was helpful, and on it. Which was important, because I had gotten a flurry of questions from my work which indicated I might need to go back into town, and not onto the flight, so that delayed me, so, by the time I was sure I could get on the flight, I was in a rush to get things shipped.( The lady who had me wait while she took all kinds of time and I was then past the time to check bags was less...) But, the woman behind the counter here was on it. But, here's the thing. I paid for my envelope. I left. I hoped my tools were all going to be ok. But when they got to my door, it was so much better. Instead of leaving them in the shipping envelope. Somebody, somewhere along the way, changed them into a box with great paper packing. As it was more sturdy, and a lot better for them staying in the packaging during shipping. This was all after I had already paid for the shipping, and the envelope it was going to be shipped in. So this person just made it happen. I think it was the employee behind the counter here at the gift shop. Super helpful. Not only did it arrive. It arrived safe and sound. Very grateful. We found this place while strolling through downtown Bozeman. Great gift shop with a ton of local Montana made gifts and products. We almost missed this place, because the outside is so obscure and narrow. But once your inside, the store is very expansive and you can find pretty much anything you are looking for. Walked out with most of our goodies to take back home. Jelly, jam, lotions, lip balm, shirts, etc. In short, don't miss this shop....stop in and get all the souvenirs you need here. read more

Oro y plata! This is the state motto of Montana, and this store sells it all! They've got lots of fun finds that'll represent your trip of Montana, from Billings to Helena! They have lots of pieces of art and housewares that extol the virtues of Montana, and pieces of Western wisdom. "Never use a 2 story outhouse." Good advice. They have lots of hats, belt buckles, t-shirts, hoodies, and bottle openers. There's just a whole lot of random stuff with "Montana" stamped on it, or embroidered with a moose on it. A lot of the stuff focuses on children, and helping them memorialize their trip to big sky country with a series of moose and bison stuffed animals. The shop clerks were busy folding t-shirts and joking around, but we didn't need much assistance, so it was just right. Be sure to check out their huckleberry candy selection! I suspect that this shop is the same one that's in the airport, same merch, same kinda prices. read more

Disappointed. I usually like coming to this store, but when my husband went here to buy a gift for our daughter the other day; we were very disappointed with the way the cashier acted. When he pulled out $100, which most things here are pretty expensive. The cashier made a couple snarky remarks..."most people pay with a card" and "well there goes all our $20". Seriously? When did cash become no good anymore and are you kidding? You only have 3 $20? Then she just walked away irritated. No thank you or have a nice day. Customer service has just went out the window these days, I guess. Makes me want to buy online and not shop local if that is how they treat people. read more

Last week, some friends and I stopped by to buy some huckelberry jam and syrup to take back to our families. While inside, a younger female employee was walking through the store while carrying a large ladder. My friend offered assistance wherein the employee stated "no thank you, I got it." Soon thereafter, we purchased our items and left the store. A few minutes later, my colleague re-entered the store to show some other friends the various "huckelberry" items that were for sale. Upon entering, my friend that offered the employee help, was confronted by the employee that was carrying the ladder. She stated "I was offended by you offering help with the ladder, just because I am a small female doesn't mean that I need help. It's offensive and misogynistic." My friend was unsure how to respond and left the location. In speaking with him, we both agreed that her response was based on her perception, and not the reality, that the offer of assistance was out of kindness and care rather than offense. My friend and I agreed that, if was, anyone, male/female/large/small, walking through with a ladder, he would have offered to assist that individual . I am posting this because I felt the better response by the employee would have been to inquire "just a question..why did you offer to help me?" The response would have been given and maybe she would have gained a better understanding of people's intent. This situation was handled very poorly and she belittled my friend unnecessarily. I frequent Bozeman quite often and always bring friends to this shop. Unfortunately, I will no longer shop with this business. Too bad ignorance on the employees behalf led to this unfortunate, and somewhat conflict driven, encounter. read more

I hate the routine travel souvenirs that ultimately end up re-gifted or trashed when the rush of vacation is over and you're back home. Fortunately, Montana Gift Corral saved me from that fate when I needed some thank-you gifts. Carrying unusual items: western wear, general clothing, food, collections/collectables, jewelry, decor, in other words, more than the keychain, shot glass, "my xx went to MT and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" crap that for some reason, people think is great fun. Many things are made in Montana or nearby states. There's a fair amount made elsewhere, but if you're careful, you can still pick up some great items. Many of the food items, natural soaps, and fragrance items, seem to be centered around huckleberries. I don't get it, because they're too sweet both in taste and smell for me. But hey, bears like them, and so do my friends who aren't bears -- except on bad days. So they must be good. In other words, the huckleberry items were a big hit. The prices are typical for this type of store and sometimes a bit pricey, but for having everything in one spot, you could do much worse. One employee was not exactly friendly or forthcoming when asked questions, but the manager made up for it. I later figured out the reticent employee was in training, and that probably explains the unfriendliness. Overall, Montana Gift Corral is a nice shop to pick up, or have mailed, mementos. They'll take care of mailing things for you, too, and when it's a gift, they put it together beautifully. read more

What a cool place to hit for something that says you have been to Montana. While the front of the store looks small, do not let that fool you. The store runs deep offering a very good selection of household decor down to the tourist trappings of tshirts, magnets, jellies and jams. On my particular visit after New Years, their selection of holiday decor was aggressively priced and plentiful. Thinking that I would spend a quick 10 minutes grabbing something on the run, I ended up staying in for almost an hour and will make this a "must stop" on my next trip to Bozeman. read more

We placed an order on line at Giftcorral.com having enjoyed their shops on Main Street and at the airport in Bozeman. The gift store on Main is a fun stop while touring Main Street. We got home and decided to go to their on-line store. Our on-line shopping experience was excellent. The items we ordered (some beautiful earrings and a book as well as some treats) were shipped the next business day and we received our shipment three days later. We also ordered several jars of the Huckleberry jam and marmalade and can't wait to try them. All items were carefully packed and wrapped with no breakage. The caramels and the carmel corn were the best we have ever had. We will definitely be shopping their again both on line and in their stores. read more
