What a great art gallery! I can see why the were voted best one in the city. They have a lot of different mediums and also a lot of different styles of artists within each medium. Glass, jewelry, sculpture, photos and paintings- really something for everyone. They carry originals as well as prints so there is something for everyone price wise and style wise as well. There were so many different pieces that captivated me. I ended up getting a print by James Weikert that is so colorful and such a fun representation of the beautiful Montana outdoors. Maybe one day I'll have the money for an original! Ha- but seriously if money weren't an object I would've walked out with half of the store. Friendly staff and great space. read more

What a great place! They had a unique selection of artwork in a variety of price ranges, by local artists. We got a great framed raven piece by Sarah Angst and a beautiful bird print by Nate Udd. The two female gallery staff members were so friendly, nice, and knowledgeable about the artwork inside. A great local find which will provide us with great keepsakes from our trip. read more

I was on the hunt my entire week-long vacation in Montana for a place that had really great work from local artists, and I couldn't find any anywhere. You know where I did find them? Here. I found them here at Altitude Gallery. Hands down the greatest pieces by a long shot, and they have artwork for every price bracket. I bought six prints, and I'll be back for more. I really got the feeling they were very supportive of their artists too; some galleries will kind of withhold information to make sure you only buy from them, but Altitude is so excited about their artists, they're proud to let you know who made what. I was very happy to buy from them, and very happy I had 30 minutes to kill before my delayed flight or I never would've found this little gem. This is a nice gallery on Main Street in Bozeman. The owner is very pleasant. Its a small gallery offering work by 10+ artists, all different. I liked it and think she has a nice eye for things you might actually want in your home. If you live in Bozeman, stop in, you will likely find "the perfect gift", if you are passing through, come to Main street for the restaurants but stroll through the galleries while in the area. This gallery is something special. There are some beautiful pieces in here for pretty much every style. The handmade jewelry is gorgeous (the earrings when I was there were made of metal and paper), the paintings are stunning (they pulled in some really good artists) and the sculptures are things I'd actually put in my home. Plus, the gallery attendant was very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us a lot of great information on the artists and the artwork as well. If I had money to spend (and places to hang) I would definitely have bought some things. read more

Great contemporary artists in a variety of media, super friendly service, and something for almost every price range. You won't find cowboy-and-Indian art here, but much of the work has an outdoor air to it. Plenty of whimsy as well. read more

Altitude is by far the best gallery in Bozeman! It's my go-to birthday, holiday, anniversary shopping destination. My wife returns everything I get her but whenever I shop at Altitude she is always happy. I just scored her an awesome bracelet made from an old car, this is one gift she won't trade in for a newer model. Hopefully she never trades me in! read more

I brought a visiting friend in from another country and they purchased a number of items. Owner is very friendly (if you are buying something). The second time I came looking for a gift, she seemed a bit passive aggressive and disinterested. Very easy to tell she isn't from Montana. A few good items, but generally questionable taste and nothing a serious art collector would buy. read more
