We worked with Paul and ordered our Hunter Douglas window treatments in advance to ensure they could be installed once we moved into our new home. Paul took the measurements himself and assured us everything was perfect (we had to rely on his word given we lived in another state). The blinds were installed today and they're the wrong dimensions. They're externally mounted, which is what we wanted - but they don't reach the end of the trim on the bottom or the right sides. Gallatin Valley Furniture has offered to re-measure and replace the window treatments, however, they have not extended a discount for the inconvenience. Given we spent $13,000.00 on window treatments and expected them to be perfect when installed today, this is completely unacceptable. It's bad business. We've pulled our order, requested a refund, and will be working with another vendor for both this home and our new build. We prefer to work with a vendor who values our business.

My partner and I chose Rikki's because I wanted to replace my 10-year-old Serta mattress. Steve, the manager, really listed to what we wanted and pointed us to an ideal mattress for both of us. When I mentioned Serta online had a deal for 2 free pillows, he let us pick out two we liked, for free, which was nice. When I mentioned concerns about formaldehyde and off-gassing, he promised to open the bag when the mattress was delivered Tues and suggested Thur delivery to me to let it off-gas. I thought ok time off work Thur to have the mattress delivered and was surprised when it came in the original shopping bag. I was also surprised that it appeared to be MUCH softer than the one I wanted as I'd specifically requested firm. But figured it might be the week delay so slept on it that night, the worst sleep I've EVER had. Do I took time off Friday to go to the store and check. Turns out instead of the $2150 mattress I ordered and paid for, the one delivered cost only $400! When I pointed this out to Steve, both he and Rikki blamed Serta - oh sorry, they sent us the wrong one, oh sorry all their codes are so similar we did not know. But. Why wasn't the shipment from Serta checked if they'd had issues? Why was the mattress NOT off-gassed as promised by Steve? Why was the delivery NOT checked BEFORE being loaded and delivered to my house? Any of those things would have discovered the replacement of a $400 mattress instead one that cost $2150! Makes me feel like it was an intentional swap and despite their promises to "make it right" it hadn't been made right. Granted, Steve did have delivered a firm mattress for me to use until mine came in but once again I had to take time off to go home and this time I had to HELP the delivery kid. Bridger Thrift has a nicely selected collection of items you'd find in a thrift store: clothes, dishes, glassware, toys, shoes, furniture, art, miscellaneous goods. Nothing unusual about that. What made Bridger Thrift standout is that everything was useable. I didn't see any torn, ripped, sketchy stuff and surprisingly, there wasn't a lot of dust. Either they sell out quickly, or the staff takes time to clean and keep things looking fresh. Of course, I may have been there during a time the inventory was getting a refresh, and maybe it was fluke. In any case, the people are great -- helpful, but not pushy. I found some glass jars that have been very hard to come by, even in main-stream stores, so I walked out of this thrift store with my stash placed in a reusable bag. The circle of recycling complete. Bridger Thrift is in the category of "good place to shop".

We thought it would be fun to check out so I made a quick turn to head to the parking lot. The store shares the building with a wine shop, but I was really surprised by the selection. Near the front entrance are an assortment of bags and when you walk a little further towards the windows they have a section of bargain pieces! There a $15, $20, and $25 short dress, jackets/outerwear section, and I believe a $10 tops section. The center section of the store had some really great designer pieces, but many were $100+, which is well above my price range for second hand. Nevertheless, if you go to the opposite side of the shop there's a whole section of items that are half off! There's a fun shoe section with some cowboy boots - though they just weren't my size *cries* They have a couple of mirrors around the shop as well as a dressing room, so it's a fun place to play dress up. I did find two jackets as well as a gold belt that I liked on this trip, so it was still a success!
