Chuck is pleasant and personable, diagnosed the problem right way. He made friends with our dogs instantly and they loved him. Thank you "Fred's" read more

our in store experience was very good. we worked with Kim Bennett. She knew the product well and was able to answer any questions. I would also like to talk about the delivery. Those guys did a really great job. They not only moved a fridge to our garage, but also shuffled the other garage appliance around to accommodate the space. The new fridge was large and they had to remove all the doors and drawers to get it in the house. They did this with great care to not damage fridge or walls. It was a lot of extra steps and they did it all perfectly. read more

We needed a replacement refrigerator for a rental property asap. I reached out to Fred's via their website and Tim responded in a timely manner. He was very helpful via text communication and very friendly when I went to the store to complete the purchase. This is my first experience with Fred's, but I will definitely return when I'm shopping for appliances. read more

Showed up as scheduled. Did the repairs as asked. Called to let me know they were coming and called when the repair was complete and told me exactly what they did. read more

my Airbnb refrigerator died and I was able to order a new one and removal of the old one while I was out of town. Mike was very helpful

So Fred's sells you faulty equipment and then tells you to call the factory. When you try to get a tech out to see what is wrong, you have to wait WEEKS. They have their money and won't stand behind their product. And they say it is not returnable. I am now seeking legal advice for this mis-managed and uncooperative company. read more

Dave is a hero! Regrettably, I ordered a gas range from Costco without checking to see if it came with an LP conversion kit. My husband called Fred's, and luck was upon us that Dave picked up, and miraculously found the exact kit we needed! All of our future appliances will be coming from Fred's. read more

I can't do a 5 star because almost all communication is via text, which is very frustrating. A quick call takes care of everything instead of multiple texts back and forth with a chat bot; especially if a 2 hour window doesn't work. Ended up takng months to get my service completed all because of the ridiculousness of communication via text without human interaction. Honestly, should be 3 stars, but that's not fair to the technicians who all have been exceptional. read more

I had a fridge go bad pretty much right away. Fred's was great. The people on the phone were courteous and efficient. they were able to locate my account even though it was under another name. The repair tech Nick was stellar. Quickly figured out the problem and then worked to jury rig a way to use the fridge for a few days while part was ordered. when the part arrived he handled the repair while we were away even! the whole experience makes me want to buy everything from Fred's!! read more

The service tech was on time, addressed the issue immediately and thankfully, he had the replacement part with him. He was able to replace the broken part and get the system working within minutes! Thanks again for getting our frig properly up and running read more

We received excellent service, in a timely manner. immediate diagnosis and parts ordered. thank you

I went to the local experts at Fred's when my washer and dryer died. Melissa helped me choose the perfect replacement set and two days later the old ones are out and the new ones are in! Huzzah! read more

My washing machine went out on Friday OM and I went to Lowe's to get one. The ones we were considering all took 3-4 weeks to get. I saw Fred's across the parking lot and they had the exact model that we wanted in stock in Belgrade. It was waiting for us in the dock and we got it working and washing the same day. Most importantly, my wife loves it. read more

good products, and good service. They have a wide selection of products to choose from.

Dave the sales guy we have been dealing with has been great. We have bought from Fred's before and they have always been great to work with and stand behind what the sell read more

Service from the store was great. Purchased a refrigerator and now 6 months later it's not working. Placed a service call. Two weeks to come out. Ok. Service tech comes out and supposedly orders parts. They send texts that service is complete. Please rate us. How is service complete. Now ive called service 2 times for updates. We will call you back. No one calls back. No one know's whats going on. Called the store today and they said they will follow up. Fridge down now almost 4 weeks. read more

Why did I ever buy a washer and dryer from Fred's in Bozeman? I guess I wanted to be tortured!! 2 year old GE (commercial quality)washing machine where the plastic lid lock latch broke - it's now been a month and a half and can't get the tech to install. Horrible customer service center out of Washington (huge conglomerate) to dispatch someone who had a three hundred mile service area. You'd be lucky to get anything fixed within 2 months. (I feel like such a chump for buying the extended warranty service plan!) I'm building a new home and will NOT buy anything from Fred's ever again! read more

Fred's always has what I need, Mike the Salesman is amazing as are the crew that come and install. Thank you Fred's. Exceptional Service.

I purchased Speed Queen washer and dryer, they delivered it an hour away, friendly and efficient! Ben and Vavo brought the appliances up some stairs without any scratches or mishaps, installed them perfectly, and then tested them. I appreciated Ben's advice and insights on various aspects of the appliances. I would recommend Fred's Appliance to anyone - good price, great service, impressive employees and satisfied customers! read more

Fred's Appliance went above and beyond to help me quickly replace an old squeaking refrigerator in the home of a person suffering long covid who is exquisitely sensitive to noise. First, Mike helped me pick out a fridge that met our needs within five minutes of walking into the store (avoiding an annoying online search). Second, the fridge was $50 less than the big box stores and could be delivered in 48 hours rather than the 8-14 days of the other stores. And finally, the delivery guys respected my request to have the removal and replacement done exceedingly quietly, so as not to set back the recovery of the person sensitive to noise. They were great and I went back later to thank the manager and give the guys a tip. Thanks Fred's, for a great experience! read more

Not good at all. How do I leave less than a 1-star review? We bought a washer and dryer from them a month ago. The washer does not work. It's awful. Instead of taking back the bad appliance they sold us, they keep blaming it on the manufacturer and sending us to them to figure out. That is not our job. It is their job to stand by the products they sell and they are not willing to work with us. I will never ever buy another appliance from Fred's nor will I recommend them to my clients like I usually do and I remodel kitchens for a living. They're loss if they cannot stand by their products. read more

My family has bought several appliances from Fred's because we like to shop local. In doing so we have always paid full retail price. Our last purchase was a new vent hood, that we paid over $2000 for. Unfortunately, we found out it was damaged during installation. We immediately took photos and reported it to our salesperson at Fred's. The manager at Fred's has offered a 10% refund for the damaged hood, which is $400 less than the needed replacement parts, not including installation. Our other option is to replace the hood, installation costs at our expense, which is $700+. Either way, we paid full price for a damaged hood and expect to spend more money to repair it. We deeply regret not ordering from a dealer that has good customer service and stands behind the products they sell. read more

I bought a dishwasher from Fred's I had problems with it from the beginning The pump went out and they replaced it but it still didn't work and now that the warranty has run out they wont fix it even though they came 3 times to determine the problem which was still the pump I even had to pay them $120 dollars to come look read more

They have a nice inventory or as nice as you can have during the pandemic I didn't see what I needed but they said they would try to find the machine. Everyone was nice and helpful read more

Fred's Appliance - Fred's - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Bozeman, Montana

DO NOT USE FREDS APPLIANCE if you are expecting good customer service. I bought all my appliance from Fred's and referred several friends and family to them as well~that was before i experienced their customer service. I had problems with my washer dryer from the start. I had two service calls while it was under warranty. The tech said it was running just fine. However, it never filled properly or washed laundry well. Finally, I got sick of dirty clothes so I called them again and Melissa was nice enough to send a tech out again. She never went over cost, she told me she would take care of it, so i mistakenly took that to mean they would take care of the repair as i had two other service calls and the techs did not fix the problem. Nick arrived and promptly found the problem (really nice guy and very knowledgeable). HOWEVER, surprise, surprise, now that it was out of warranty, they find the problem and want to charge me $400+ to fix it. I called Melissa and she said sorry this is your responsibility!!! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I swore I would never buy from these people again but after my oven broke I was desperate as I can not be without an oven for work. Bought the new oven picked it up. From day one it didn't work. I called and told them I wanted to return it and was informed that "we don't take returns without a 25% restock fee. They offered to transfer me to the service department to leave a message and said they would reach out to me in 3-5 days to get put on the schedule and then another 3-10 days from there. Mind you they are aware I need this oven for my business but didn't give a crap about me being unable to do my job. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! read more

I had scheduled service for my refrigerator (not purchased at Fred's) about a month and a half ago. The technician had to cancel due to illness the first time so they rescheduled for Feb 8, 2023. I called Fred's to confirm the time the technician would arrive. THEY HAD NO RECORD OF MY REFRIGERATOR BEING SCHEDULED. So, I called another repair service and scheduled a technician to come out and evaluate the job. They charged me in advance for the visit. At the end of that call the FRED'S APPLIANCE technician called and said he had the parts and was coming out!! Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing? The Fred's appliance technician was extremely understanding and apologized for any inconvenience. Beware!! read more

Don't buy from Fred's Appliance. We bought over $10,000 worth of appliances from Fred's 2 years ago when we remodeled our house with their extended warranty. A week ago our refrigerator started making a noise and stopped cooling. I called the repair number and was directed to their call center in Spokane. I was told it would be a week until they could send someone to us because we are in a rural area. I also told them I was 90% sure that the compressor had gone out. Sure enough, the repairman showed up today without parts, diagnosed it as a faulty compressor, and told me it would be another 10 days for parts to come in and then they would have to schedule me the next time they were in the area. I'm guessing its going to be 3 weeks from when I initially called until the refrigerator is repaired. We'll be living out of our cooler until then. Do better. read more

The pandemic has hit them hard. We purchased a new Washer and Dryer SIX MONTHS AGO. We got the Washer right away but as of now we are STILL waiting on the Dryer!!!!!!! To Fred's credit they gave loaned us a dryer to use but this is way beyond acceptable. The real blow is that we have paid for these 6 months ago. HELP read more

After spending a king's ransom on high end appliances, I was concerned about post sale service due to previous experiences with different stores. Was delighted to be treated to an example of excellent post-sale customer service from the Bozeman Fred's Appliance team! Nick S was awesome! He was extremely professional, yet personable and was even willing to take a look at another situation (more convenience related than product performance) with a different appliance aside from the product that originated the service call. In a world that seems like post-sale customer service is not a priority, Fred's team was a breath of fresh air! So glad we went with Fred's to outfit our new house with top of the line appliances. Thank you! read more

Worst experience buying an appliance in my life. I have had better experiences buying garbage in the alley of the ghetto. JEFF HARRINGTON was rude and has the worst customer service approach. Scott McCauley tried to be kind but was bound by company policies and bad company. After three tries with different brand new freezers (damaged) I had to cut my losses and demand my $ back. Selling damaged freezers can be deadly and dangerous with freon leaks, etc. Just read the side of the freezer. I'm overall an easy going guy but this experience tried me extremely. Better luck next time Fred's. I'd say you need more service the customer training in my opinion. read more

While delivering my new washer/dryer in July 2019, the top of the washer was dented by the delivery team. We called the store immediately and were told by our sales person that we would get a new one delivered in 8 days. That was in JULY 2019, there have been lots of calls to the store on our part. Lots of messages left and lots of passing the buck. Mostly they never get the message or are to busy. They came to our home 2 weeks ago to deliver the new washer, it was the wrong color. I had to take off work to meet them. I love my appliances from Fred's, but I am ready to return all of them. I work in customer service and THIS IS NOT IT!!!!! read more

Ordered two very expensive, high end appliances from Fred's in Bozeman. The delivery was a total shit show. The clown who was in charge had seven people show up to help get the appliances into the house. They were ready willing and able but he was not. We had built a ramp to bring the appliances in, but in his infinite wisdom it was not safe. He wanted to take a different route and wanted me to sign a waiver if they damaged my custom door, which I refused. I had them drop the appliances in my garage. Within 15 minutes of them leaving my three carpenters had the appliances safely in the kitchen. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager, Sarah, who was too busy to talk to me so I asked for a return call which I never received. She must have been too busy filing her nails to talk to a customer who spent over $30,000 on appliances at the store. The salesman, Scott, was good but powerless to offer any relief. Five thumbs down to Fred's. This is the first time I have ever posted a review of any business. read more

We have purchased several appliances here. Last Fall, a chest freezer, and recently a gas range and vent hood. We had looked around at several places for ranges and hoods, and Fred's had both the best selection and the most helpful staff. We were immediately assisted, and based on what we were looking for, given several recommendations. Over the next couple of days, we worked over email to find potential hood options and placed an order shortly after! We are extremely happy with the selection, knowledge, and service provided by Fred's! read more

I have shopped at many different places for appliances over the years. In all of the years of shopping, I have never found a more competent staff. There wasn't any sort of pressure whatsoever. The staff is VERY knowledgeable of their products and if there is a question that they can't answer, they will find someone that can. I am so incredibly grateful to Jeff O. and the staff for their amazing help! The delivery guys were so polite and professional. If you want great customer service and a great price, please shop local! I'm a Fred's fan all the way! read more

We heard that it is hard to get appliances right now in town from places like Lowe's and Home Depot. So we went into Fred's and there was my Electrolux Washer and Dryer as we had sold with our house before moving here! They even had it in our new Condo's color scheme! We were delighted and placed our order. They came as quickly as they could being backed up. The unfortunate thing that happened through no fault of their own was damage to the fronts of the washer and dryer. They did find another set and delivered to us a few days later. We were pleased with our delivery guys, one named Mike, who were very careful to check the new Washer and Dryer to make sure of no other dents. We also appreciated all the sales clerks wearing masks and the delivery guys wearing them too! read more
