I don't usually write reviews, but this place is extraordinary. The customer service is consistently outstanding. These people REALLY know their stuff. Good to know this still exists! Beats the big box stores anytime. Special shout out to Will and Rob. Job well done, guys. read more

Would be zero stars if possible. Bought Toro riding mower so I could be guaranteed local service. 7 or 8 years ago I had it serviced at the downtown location and nice old tech told me he could fix my left zero turn brake but would cost several hundred dollars. It creeps gently backwards when in neutral until it meets any resistance and stops. but he advised if it was him he'd just operate it as is. Good advice. Ive never once had an issue with it. In 2022 I got full service package at the new location on West Main. Same gentle creep. 2024 I just got oil change. Same gentle creep. Today David the tool said he couldn't service it because of the brake creep. I checked with manager who informed me it was a liability. Too dangerous to put up on the lift. Except David had already told me he'd had it on the lift not once, but twice already. But it was too risky to change oil and sharpen blades. Zero common sense. read more

I recently had an issue with my lawnmower that I bought through Owenhouse, and after having days of frustrations with the manufacturer, I finally reached back out to Owenhouse Small Engine Repair staff. I was amazed at how quickly they settled the issue for me. They not only were very kind, thoughtful, and empathetic but also decided to take matters into their own hands and replace the product right on the spot. Dave and his whole team there were very thoughtful, and it turned a really bad customer service experience into a really great one. I am a fan of Owenhouse for life and always look to them for my needs. What a great place. read more

Ace, this is the biggest a store I've ever been to and still after all this time, Ace is the place. Ken, Charles, Matthew and Will. I love the people that work here. I WOULD RECOMMEND read more

Owenhouse Ace Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - Bozeman, Montana

A great fun place to shop. I've never gone in to buy a specific item, without always coming out with a happy purchase. Workers there always know where my item is ! Workers appear to enjoy helping customers. A great place to shop! read more

Very helpful in selecting a multi tool, they even offered to charge my existing battery so I did not need to buy a new one (I am here visiting and don't have my charger) read more

The staff is extremely helpful and considerate. Purchase I made was returned and new item ordered, assembled, and delivered. The item selected I could have purchased on line or elsewhere in town. Have always enjoyed the staff and "the buy local" Approach was appreciated greatly. Shop here!! read more

Their customers always come last. Snarky and unfriendly employees, in my experience. They treat the customer as an enemy they are forced to put up with. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. I have had numerous occasions in which I have been shown no respect and treated like garbage. slow slow service times, and literally zero respect for clientele. Most of the younger techs are really good to work with, but the old guard has no idea how to run a business. If someone is looking to spend $6k for a bike or more, you would expect to see some customer service. Today was the last day I will ever step foot in their doors. read more

Always friendly staff, they have everything we need and more! a great place to shop for home needs as well as gifts. They have more than the typical hardware store - pet supplies, kitchen needs, decor... read more

Usually people here are almost too helpful so I don't mind paying a little more for an item. However, on Monday I had a pretty bad experience. I called the Ace at the mall looking for washing soda. Not a common item to me but supposedly used all the time. There was no one to see if they had it immediately so they took my phone number. Exactly 30 minutes later they called back and verified that they had washing soda. I immediately got in the car and drove to the store. The shelves were empty so I asked the guy stocking the section. He said he would go look and came back after about 15 minutes. He said they had 3 but he was too busy to look for them in the incoming bins. I left the store and drove over to Rosauers where they had it on the shelf. The brand I was looking for comes in a pretty big yellow box so it should have been easy to find. Basically I spent an hour looking for a product at the Ace store because I was a loyal customer and was told they are too busy to sell me something. This is not acceptable. I do note that my interaction could have all been with the same employee who was having a bad day but I will probably not try them first next time. read more

Ace is great. They have everything. And they have very helpful people all over the store. Visiting Bozeman, come here.

I had the displeasure of experiencing the helpful hardware store while trying to replace a couple of cracked sockets. Craftsman has always had a free replacement so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately they don't have 6 sided sockets but rather 12 sided that are made in China. Still better than my split sockets I thought. Anyhow 30 min later after taking to 5 different employees and twice with the same manager I finally was charged several dollars for some cheap Chinese 12 sided sockets. Strangely my sockets were not even in the system but they were still able to calculate that my American made sockets were off lesser value. Garbage store with garbage help peddling garbage tools, in my opinion. read more

Ace is the place! I just love going to Ace. Good people, good products, good location, decent prices, and did I say good people? Interesting tid-bit: I'm a regular there, so they know me and trust me. I was looking for an obscure part and the guy said "Maybe we have something in the basement that will work." Did you know there's a basement store-room that is the entire footprint of the store? Maybe bigger? (Not sure, but it might go under the Co-Op or perhaps under the bike shop behind the store.) It's huckin' fuge! read more

Hands down my favorite store to grab supplies for almost any project . Bridal Gift registry is down by pen and paper log but where else can you register for Le Creuset, DeWalt power tools and The Big Green Egg . #montanabride read more

Owe house Ace now has two locations, but downtown remains the go-to place. As remarked on elsewhere, the service is amazing, no matter how long it takes, they will help you. Bring in your (well behaved) dog, and a treat is waiting at the cash register. Small town at it's very best, and the prices are small-town too! read more

Definitely the best hardware store in town for service and attention. I had been looking around all day for a bearing to fix the fan for my fireplace. I was fed up with being told to just buy a new fan ($150) or being told they didn't have the part i needed. Once I got to ace the first associate to help me was genuine in trying to help me find the right part ( i wish i caught her name) she then lead to me Ron who immediately new i needed just one 25 cent nylon bushing. He found the bushing and put it in the fan and the fan works great. Great place, genuine people! read more

I Owenhouse Ace Hardware. They have everything you need in housewares, tools and miscellaneous stuff. But more than stuff, they have the best customer service ever. Special shout out to Matthew who fixed my nightlight ... it took three tries but he insisted on that I bring it back in for the final fix! Thank for being an eight minute walk for my new home. read more

Where else but Owenhouse Ace Hardware could you get ten minutes of expert help in finding one nut for an odd-sized bolt? When I checked out, my bill was like maybe a dime. I felt like I had stepped into the past. And as another reviewer pointed out, you can still get out-of-season things, in my case a simple indoor flower pot. I had gone to both Kmart and Walmart but they had nothing but Xmas things where there used to be garden things. And yet, Ace keeps their prices competitive. read more
