Thank you with Huckleberries on top! Our fifth-wheel camper had a frame and suspension issue. We stopped in Bozeman for repairs mainly because our RV dealer (they are also awesome) Big Sky RV is here. We knew they would be too busy and after making some calls we found this shop. Not only did they get us in the very next morning, but had us fixed and on our way in no time. The price was also less what we expected. We live in our fifth-wheel full time and with three dogs it would be next to impossible to be without it overnight. They understood that and got us on our way as quickly as possible. I have patronized this welding shop twice now, and both times I have been extremely pleased with their service but most of all their professional work. The first project I had them do was to repair severe damage to an old Schwinn Stingray bicycle frame. Previously I had brought it to one other welding shop in town (the one on Story Mill and Bridger Canyon) and they said they couldn't do much at all to repair it. However, one of the fellows at Midwest took a single look at it and said, "yep, no problem. We will have it done tomorrow." When I got it back, it looked like brand new. The most recent project I gave them was the mounting of a custom fiberglass motorcycle seat onto an old Honda motorcycle. The previous owner who had the seat made for the bike had removed several key parts from the frame for the seat to be mounted, and there was no hardware on the seat itself to be attached to the non-existent mounting points on the frame. To say the least, this was a tricky problem and multiple ways to solve it. When I picked the bike up after they were finished, they had exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Im not going to get into the details of how they did it, but it was done with careful consideration as to design, safety, style, and the price limit I had set. Hell, they even powder coated the parts they added to match the color of the original frame. This was a truly masterful job they did. Though all this quality work comes at a hansom price tag, but for the product and service it is worth it. I will definitely be returning to them if I need anymore work done. read more

We called several RV shops & no one could help us for at least a month, then we found Western! They got us in 1st thing in the morning, identified our problem (broken shackles on the 3rd axle of the 5th wheel), and got us on our way within hours! Great customer service and excellent work. Ernie & Andrew understood our situation & treated it urgently. We are beyond appreciative of that. They totally exceeded our expectations. read more

If I could give this business 6 stars, I would. We were traveling in our 5th wheel and had a serious brake problem which meant we needed service and needed it immediately. We called 6 RV businesses who politely told us that they appreciated our problem but the earliest they could even look at our problem was 10 days. We found Ernie at Midwest Welding and he invited us to bring the rig in. While he said they had not encountered this particular problem, he had very good techs. We sat there with our fingers crossed on a Friday afternoon, knowing if they did not fix the problem, we were going to be in Bozeman, most likely in a motel, for the forseeable future. Ernie treated it as the emergency it was, for us. Happy to report they were able to diagnose, fix the problem and we were on our way in a couple of hours. To say they have great customer service is an understatement. While in the waiting room, we noticed several locals coming in with small problems and they were served and problem solved as well. Ernie and his staff saved our vacation. We are greatly appreciative. read more
