We left messages at several places and then left our truck at Tom's waiting for the shop to open. By the way, we never received a return phone call from any of the other shops in Bozeman! Coming off the holiday weekend Tom's was pretty booked with usual customer repairs. TJ said he would do his best to look at it by the end of the day. Sure enough we got a call saying that we needed new calipers, rotors and brake pads at the end of the day. He said it would be ready by the end of day the next day. Fortunately, it was finished by noon the next day and we were on our way to continue our trip. This is a quality business that we would highly recommend. TJ and his crew were professional, nice and made time for us.

So.... On Friday before an arctic cold snap of -15 degrees coming the next Monday, which was also a…read moreholiday, the gas valve on my boiler went out. I called around to try and find one locally. No luck for my valve for LP (Propane), and no valves with conversion kits available. I was able to order one, I bought it, and paid $175 to next day ship it for Saturday. It came and I had it installed, but it wouldn't light all the burners! Two or three of seven might light, until perhaps a minute later, and then if you blew on then, they would all light, but the boiler would shut down if you didn't. No matter how many times we tried, they would never all light, and instead one or two would light, and the rest would just blow gas into the boiler room! Talk about risk of explosion! So there I was with -15 degree temps coming in 24-36 hours and Monday was a holiday. My first guy told me that there didn't seem to be enough pressure of gas coming into the house and to call the propane company because he thought they had a bad regulator on the tank. I called the propane company and they informed me that all the pressure and lines needed to be checked before they would send anyone out, and they recommended I call Premier Air heating and cooling. At this point I was desperate, so I called! I spoke to someone immediately when I called who put me in touch with the Helena rep, Lex. Lex agreed to meet me at my home in 2 hours and he was there right on time. The first thing Lex did was to check EVERYTHING, clean EVERYTHING, and otherwise ensure that all components were working, one by one, before eventually he was able to conclusively determine that my brand new gas valve, was bad! It wouldn't let much gas into the burners at first, and took almost a minute to build up gas pressure to the normal 8-9lbs. He also determined that there was no problem with the pressure coming into the house from the tank outside. It was the bad valve which wasn't letting enough through for way too long for the burners to light normally. So essentially what was happening was that the brand new bad valve I had just installed would have only been good for causing a gas explosion. Thank GOD I was able to get such a talented professional out to help me on SUCH SHORT NOTICE before a holiday weekend and an arctic air blast. AND..... he just happened to have a universal valve with an LP conversion kit that, after installation, worked perfectly and got our home back online with heat and hot water again! Sure, it was a very expensive valve, and pricey service, but Lex earned every penny, and I was so grateful to have this serious problem fixed in the NICK of time before the arctic freeze! Thanks Lex and Premier Air Heating and Cooling. I WILL be calling you guys again if I need you, and recommending your services!

It's not very often you find a good reliable place to have your car serviced. I was concerned with me living in Denver and not being familiar with the various auto places in Bozeman. I surfed the web and found Bozeman Community Auto. It had great reviews. I had no choice but to try them. My daughter goes to Montana State in Bozeman and has my Jeep Wrangler. My daughter has had a couple of issues with her car. They fixed my daughter's car at a great price. Their technicians were very knowledgeable, explained exactly what the problem was and what it would take to fix it. Having worked on my Jeep Wrangler before, replacing the cam and rocker arms, I was very familiar with the types of issues that are common on the Jeep. Their assessment was right on! I highly recommend Bozeman Community Auto. Because of their popularity, they are busy. It will take a week or more to get your vehicle in. It's well worth the wait.

They were awsome...I would give them 10 stars...Eric was right on top of my issue....heater hoses connection had corroded and needed new hoses... he solved the issue and had me rolling again...I don't think it was more than an hour and I was rolling again. Auto Stop installed a rebuilt engine in my VW Vanagon. Within three miles of leaving the shop, the…read morelow coolant warning alarm came on. I immediately returned, but after a brief inspection I was told there was nothing wrong. When I left the shop, the warning alarm came on again. I called Auto Stop, explained that the warning had returned, and was again assured there was nothing wrong. I was told to wait and see if the alarm came on again after driving. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and I could smell coolant burning on the hot engine. I made it home just before coolant began dripping from the vehicle. At that point, I had the van towed to another repair shop. The second shop found that the primary coolant hose from the reservoir to the engine had been installed incorrectly and was approximately 3/4 inch too short. They also discovered a second hose with a large bulge that was on the verge of rupturing. Both issues required immediate repair. What disappointed me most was not simply that mistakes were made, but that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. After the warning alarm came on twice within minutes of leaving the shop, I expected a thorough inspection of the cooling system rather than reassurance that nothing was wrong. Because of the improper installation, I incurred more than $500 in additional repair costs, plus the cost of towing the vehicle to another shop. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. The quality of the installation, the lack of careful follow-up, and the poor customer service left me with significant additional expense and inconvenience.

A neighbor with a similar issue was referred to Excel Plumping. We also contacted Jeff and were amazed that his bid was less than half what the contractors sub bid us. Jeff came and did the work in-between jobs and on his own time. I grew up working with my father who is a contractor specializing in plumbing and I can tell you Jeff dis an outstanding job.
