I have patronized this welding shop twice now, and both times I have been extremely pleased with…read moretheir service but most of all their professional work. The first project I had them do was to repair severe damage to an old Schwinn Stingray bicycle frame. Previously I had brought it to one other welding shop in town (the one on Story Mill and Bridger Canyon) and they said they couldn't do much at all to repair it. However, one of the fellows at Midwest took a single look at it and said, "yep, no problem. We will have it done tomorrow." When I got it back, it looked like brand new. The most recent project I gave them was the mounting of a custom fiberglass motorcycle seat onto an old Honda motorcycle. The previous owner who had the seat made for the bike had removed several key parts from the frame for the seat to be mounted, and there was no hardware on the seat itself to be attached to the non-existent mounting points on the frame. To say the least, this was a tricky problem and multiple ways to solve it. When I picked the bike up after they were finished, they had exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Im not going to get into the details of how they did it, but it was done with careful consideration as to design, safety, style, and the price limit I had set. Hell, they even powder coated the parts they added to match the color of the original frame. This was a truly masterful job they did. Though all this quality work comes at a hansom price tag, but for the product and service it is worth it. I will definitely be returning to them if I need anymore work done.

Scott helped me with the problem which happened to be a combination of environmental and a loose nut behind the shutter (me). He took the time to take some photos with my camera and also told me where the lens' "sweet spot" was. Scott spent about an hour with me and I found him very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all of my questions and in the end I purchased a UV filter for my lens at Scott's recommendation. Just yesterday, I decided to purchase a new tri pod for my DSLR, and I wasn't doing Amazon. Bozeman Camera has earned my business while I'm here for the season, even though it's a 3 hour round trip drive from Gardiner. Great store, great service, and great employees. The info I was given was totally misleading and deceptive, told one set of information and told one set amounts that would be offered based off the expected value they would sell it for. First off was never told I would be charged for them to look at the camera so thats first deceptive action, second I was told a percentage that would be paid on the value they would be selling the camera at . After 80+ mile drive one way I have to pay for them to look at it, then they low ball the price which is obviously not what they would put it out for sale for, and then after low balling the value , the percentage that they offered on their low ball value was approximately half of what I was told by staff member on the phone before I made the trip. So unfortunately I can not give any favorable opinion of them since all I got was misleading and deceptive practices and then low ball treatment, I will not be even considering them for any sort of business in the future and would recommend others to be cautious and possibly avoid them for business since my opinion of how I was treated was bottom tier, investigate them before doing business, and get any info that you get over the phone in writing or recorded before wasting time goingin to them, all I can say is the one that waited on me was very polite , but that does not change the deception I recieved during the whole ideal.
