I have at last found an honorable man: Gordon Stevens of Bozeman's Stevens Computer Service. My MAC was acting up, and, having never owned such a computer before, had no idea who to take it to. So I used the internet to find someone who had good reviews. I took my computer on July 21, 2016 and described all its ills to Gordon. Because I was getting messages that I was running out of memory, Gordon thought, in the worst-case scenario, it would need a bigger hard drive. He estimated $185.00 for new part and an hour of his time. I thought that was a bargain and agree to let him keep it for a week, maybe longer because he had to get the part from out of town. The next afternoon Gordon called and said the MAC had been fixed, and my total bill would be $40.00. Wow! Sure enough, when I picked it up my bill was only $40.00 and my long list of computer ills had been fixed. Had he been typical, I would have paid the original estimate of $185.00, and I would never have known it could be fixed for far less. Gordon Stevens may be Bozeman's best kept computer service secret. He "poses" as a hardware guy, which he is -- extraordinaire -- but he saved my business with his knowledge of software for Macs too. He is always there, super friendly, fair to a fault on pricing (often to his detriment) and just an all-around great guy. If you have a mac he should be your first stop no matter what. He runs his business a bit lean, accepts only cash or check, not credit cards, but that also helps keep prices and costs down and since he charges so little for most things, it's no biggie not to do credit cards or debit cards. read more

Fantastic service, a dream come true for a total non techy type. He is able to fit you in almost immediately and his prices are very reasonable. I foolishly went elsewhere and nearly had to pay with a promise of my first child. All this and he is a GREAT guy too! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Gordon answered the phone right away, listened to my problem, told me when he'd be available, and actually was. I brought my laptop in, he told me what he'd have to do, a high-end quote, and said he'd get it back to me in two days. Sure enough, after 48 hours, I had my laptop back in brand new condition.
