**Rating with a small child** My 5 year old and I like to go around Pasadena and explore boba & dessert places. We always get the taro or strawberry boba, and today we were feeling more strawberry with extra boba! Place is quaint, enough tables, and basic snacks to entice a small child. The staff was very friendly and treated my son with respect (which is very important to me and always something I look for in a business when I'm with my son). We hung out here for a while as we sipped on our boba and watched the trains roll by at the nearby station. The drink was pretty good, and the extra boba made my son really happy. I didn't try their bubble waffle but sounds like something I'll come back for! I also liked how the cafe supports local businesses and lets people advertise their small business on the bulletin board. It's very community-friendly! Thumbs up from us!

I love the new kiosk they added inside. When they are busy with people you can opt to order with the kiosk which is super helpful and easy to use. They also always have snacks to purchase like chips and candy to pair with your drink. The blueberry banana smoothie was so good. I really enjoyed the freshness because it didn't taste like artificial flavoring. The only downside to this place is the higher cost.

To be honest being in BoBa business is very competitive these days. So compare to all good places this is very low. Inside the shop didn't look very clean and the taste of coffee is Starbucks quality( which is low to me). I wouldn't get anything if I wasn't in rush. Service was good though, they were pretty fast with my order.

I was very intrigued by the split cup since there isn't any boba place that does this. I got the split drink of the house milk tea and the strawberry black tea both with boba since it was free. My hubby got the almond milk tea with boba. I did not like the 3 drinks we got at all. The flavor of the tea is a bit bitter, and it seems that it's a couple of days old kinda taste. And the milk tea was a bit water down and not as rich. The only good part was the boba, but the only thing is, I wish it was a bit sweeter since it is very bland. No public restroom, and there are about 3-4 tables inside. Plus, the drinks are a bit overpriced and would get it at a better place instead of the same price or less.

Perfect place for a sweet Boba tea stop! Sweet location even on a rainy day. Cozy location at night. We came by for a tropical boba tea and bubble waffle ice cream snack around 9:30pm on a cold rainy night. Just perfect! Parking was available right in front. Very satisfying drink during snack. Simply Pure. Simply Delicious. Simply Simple. That's what this simple review is about. Let us begin. Simplee Boba (est 2017) is a small boba tea and dessert shop that want to bring back the natural and organic ingredients of boba drinks. They're one of the stores located along Mission street and Meridian ave in SoPas. Interior decor was modest with very little decor in their massive white wall; seats were limited. Their menu has a plethora of drinks, desserts and snacks. I was looking for a new boba place and found them. I came here on a late Tuesday afternoon after a long day at work. I was perfunctorily greeted by a young small staff. I ordered an avocado smoothie with grass jelly and a egg chocolate waffle with strawberry, mochi, lychee jelly as toppings. Minutes later, my smoothie arrived and egg waffle. My avocado smoothie was light in avocado flavor that you can barely taste it, conversely its texture was very smooth and milky. The egg waffle was delightful and perfect in sweetness. Prices were very reasonable. Free wifi available. Parking is mostly metered but there a public lot nearby. Service was impeccable and their staff was friendly and professional. Overall, I would recommend this modest lil boba tea and dessert shop. I'd come back again.

This review is based off of a delivery from Uber eats. The boba was great overall, the options on them were plentiful. The flavor was on point with just the right amount of boba. They were both solid picks. I had the Tiger Sugar milk tea and the oolong milk tea with tiramisu cream. I'd definitely order from here again and try their other menu items.

Before you hit the road for a long drive, I highly recommend that you get a mango slushy with boba from Simplee Boba. I did that today, and not only did it keep me cool in the 90° temperatures, but it made the ride so much more enjoyable. It tasted wonderful, and I was served very quickly. Can't beat that! I look forward to returning soon.

I came in for the first time like 2 weeks ago with the young girl that I nanny for. What a nice surprise to find this shop! The drinks were delicious and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. It's conveniently located on mission street in south Pasadena. Parking can get a little challenging but there's always parking on the side streets. Now when I'm at work and I'm craving a Thai milk tea with boba I will come here!! Thank you Simplee Boba!!

I couldnt take a leak here despite being here for 3+ hours working on some stuff. On September 30, 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1632 into law. This bill requires a place of business that is open to the general public for the sale of goods and that has a toilet facility for its employees to allow any individual who is lawfully on the premises of that place of business to use that toilet facility during normal business hours, even if the place of business does not normally make the employee toilet facility available to the general public. Businesses are subject to a civil penalty for a willful or grossly negligent violation of this requirement. However, businesses may not be sued for a violation as the bill does not create a private right of action. I can't sue but i can leave a review. Plus the disney music is annoying.

This place has really pretty drinks so my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. Only street parking I ordered the coconut dream, my boyfriend ordered the original milk tea half sweet and we also ordered the bubble waffle mochi with taro icecream. We waited about 20 mins for the bubble waffle and we didn't mind. The three stars was for a couple reasons. First the girl that talked to us was kinda rude and wasn't patient with our questions. Another girl came to take our order she was a lot better. Her service was great and answer my questions. The drinks are not that good everything tasted water down. The milk tea has no strong tea flavor. I get it's cute and pretty how they separate the two colors but the syrup sweetness was all down the cup. We had to mix it but it wasn't evenly mixed well. My coconut dream drink taste so artificial and water down. I did not like the drink at all. The only thing was really good was the bubble waffle dessert! The mochi was super chewy I wish it would be more crunchier on the outside. Their taro ice cream was the highlight!! I love the taro icecream super creamy and flavor is strong. Definitely taro icecream is a must here!

Such a cute spot to grab boba in south Pasadena! They have a small menu but pretty much has your essentials. I tried the matcha macchiato because I can never say no to matcha. It was creamy and had great subtle flavor. I don't like overly sweet drinks so this was perfect for me! I also tried a bit of my fiancé's Thai tea and that was super smooth and delicious! Might have to get that next time I come back. They also serve those honeycomb waffle cone things that you can eat with ice cream and customize. Same style as Cauldron Ice cream if you've ever been. My sister got the green tea cone with strawberry ice cream and tons of toppings. It was pretty good! Don't know if I was able to taste the green tea flavor probably because I was already drinking matcha green tea. The spot is great for people that need to study and do work. They have a section of tables set up. Would probably frequent there now! read more

I mostly enjoy coming here for its space and the egg waffles. I'm a HUGE fan of egg waffles and I think this place does it best in Socal. I've tried a lot of places and this place is the most consistent and the taste is pretty good. What I Ordered: - Organic Matcha Milk Tea w/ boba (I really enjoyed this) - Signature Boba Milk Tea - Original Bubble Waffle Parking: Street parking and it's easy to find parking Interior: This is a great space to come do work/study. There's a lot of natural lighting, it's not too loud and there's a lot of tables. The only thing I wish they had was secure wifi. I don't really like going to coffee/boba shops that don't have a wifi password. Other than that, I really love the space!! I'll have to come back and try the coffee next time! Downside: The Bubble Waffle did take a long time to make. I came over the weekend one time to show my parents the waffle and we made a big mistake. It was pretty packed and a lot of people ordered the bubble waffle. I'm not sure how many machines they had, but it was SUPPPER slow. If more people order this, I really hope they get more waffle machines in the future! read more

This newly-opened, unique ice cream shop offers fluffy, freshly-made waffle cones with ice cream inside as well as toppings. I took my friend here for his birthday around closing time (10:00 pm) and one of the two owners, Karen, checked on us to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. She had a smile on her face and wonderful, positive energy, as she carried around her adorable baby in her arms. After I inquired, Karen explained that the fluffy waffle cone style comes from Hong Kong, but their shop offers a unique twist with the ice cream and toppings on the inside. I then met her husband, Edmond, the other owner. Like his wife, Edmond had great, positive energy. I'm Simplee (haha!) delighted to support this new ice cream shop! read more

Very nice place to go to a cafe and work. It's fairly new, so I love that there is not that many people. Except after school time, 3pm, a lot of kids come. The layout of the place is really nice and utilized every space there. They took 10min to make my drink, but at least they let me know. Customer Service: The cashier smiled and took my order with ease. People working casually talked and looked like they enjoyed working there. Definitely would come back again. read more

Pretty good tea and boba here. Friendly staff. Even though they are call Simplee and focus mainly on natural and simple tea options, the menu is a little cluttered and confusing. They could definitely work on that. Large seating area in a separate room, it's also nice because it's quieter than sitting right near the kitchen. read more

Quiet boba shop in South Pasadena just across the street from the metrorail gold line stop. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I ordered a honey bee green tea and an original bubble waffle and a coffee for my friend. My friend and I enjoyed our drinks as well as the waffle. Nothing was overly sweet and as a bonus, the shop smells like waffles. I would definitely come back to try the more interesting drinks. Also, you get a cute glass bottle for checking in! read more

So excited that there is a Boba place in SP! Simplee Boba is open late, is clean, and has awesome drinks. We ordered an ice cream coffee and a decaf black tea with aloe (btw, love that they have a decaf option for tea!). Their waffles are also delicious. I had the Tropical Bee Tea with boba and it was so refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. The boba was good: soft, chewy, and sweet :) I checked in to receive my drink in a cute glass bottle! Btw I like that the staff member reminded me of that, which many employees forget to do so I really appreciated that. I like that they have decaf options, which isn't very common, but is actually great for people who are sensitive to caffeine. They had samples of the bubble waffles they serve and it was delicious; I definitely need to order one next time. It's really clean and simple inside and I love the older buildings in Pasadena like this one; it really gives it character. Free Wi-Fi is always a plus and it's a really cute place to study or work. So I've been coming here everyday. I order online I give my name and pick up my order. Today for the first time I was treated as if I was some kind of scammer. I hate to think it was because of my ethnicity but I can't help but feel that way. As I stated before I'm here everyday. I have never been treated that way before except by the one younger thick female. I don't know her name so that is why I am describing her that way. I will never shop here again. Twice there employees have been very rude to me. In addition, they try to charge be for a cup even though I am purchasing something. I am being singled out as they don't charge anyone else this. Also, the price changes every time. I'd rather support another small business than theres they treat their customers poortly. will come back to try other flavors. Glad I found this place in my very own hometown! So much open seating area makes this a perfect place to study/hangout with others while drinking tea. I appreciate this Boba shop because they don't try and make their Boba drinks incredibly sweet like other Boba shops, but use all natural sweeteners, and I can really taste the difference, which makes the tea flavor distinct and clean. read more

Such a cute place with friendly staff!! The signature boba milk tea and matcha macchiato are so good! Based on the other reviews, I did not adjust the sugar level like I always do with other places(too sweet) and it just tastes perfect! The original bubble waffle with rocky road ice cream, mochi, oreo, pocky and m&ms was also delicious! It was probably better without the m&ms but i could choose unlimited toppings to build my own so :) will definitely come back! read more

My husband has a ton of weird food allergies and I'm lactose intolerant, so we were thrilled to find this place five minutes from our apartment! They have four different milk alternatives and allow you to choose how much sweetener is added. The ingredients were very wholesome and the drinks were absolutely delicious! I look forward to working on my laptop in the corner while consuming wonderful beverages sometime in the near future. read more

South Pasadena establishment? I guess it does a good enough job. Came on a Sunday night and it wasn't that crowded. Got the green tea waffle. Not bad. Everything is on the pricier side, likely because of the location. Worth a look if you don't want to go into the heart of the SGV. read more

Ever since I discovered this place about 2 months ago I have been coming a few times a week and they never disappoint. Their drinks are all delicious and you can tell they are made with quality ingredients! Their boba is the perfect texture and you can tell it's made fresh everyday. With so many boba shops around I'm so glad I tried this place since it is now one of my absolute favorite spots. Due to the lack of open business right now(3/29/20), I was forced to try a new boba place to satisfied my craving. To say the least my craving was not satisfied. The strawberry matcha milk tea was over powered with the strawberry jelly/ syrup that was used and made the drink too sweet. My milk tea boba lacked a balance of milk and tea making it taste watery. It was not worth the price I paid for both drinks. Do not recommend it. read more

I recently visited Simplee Boba and had a decent experience, but there are definitely some things to note. The inside of the shop is small but cool, with a few tables to sit at if you want to hang out for a bit. The staff is super friendly, which always makes for a pleasant visit. The chocolate and matcha flavors are good, honestly some of the best I've had at a boba place. If you're a fan of ice cream, definitely give it a try! One thing that's a little frustrating, though, is their bubble waffles. They offer them on the menu, but I've had a couple of occasions where they've told me they weren't serving them. I went around 7:30pm on one visit, and they said they already cleaned the waffle maker and weren't making any more that day, and closing time was 9pm. I mean, I get that it's probably a lot of work, but it's disappointing when you're craving it. If they have a cut-off time for bubble waffles, I really think they should advertise it, I thought 7:30pm would be a good time, but apparently not. Overall, I do enjoy Simplee Boba, but I do wish they'd be a little more consistent with the bubble waffles and maybe update their hours or cut-off times for certain items. My family and I heard that a new boba place was open nearby! We were excited, but unfortunately this place is kind of a disappointment. The place was very plain, bland, and small, plus there was only 3 people working there. Despite that, we ordered and gave the place a chance. It took 15 long and hot minutes for our order to finally come, and many people who ordered after us got their food first. Even though the wait was long, we still tried it. Let me just say, the boba wasn't cold, and the milk tea was bland. My brother ordered an icecream, which was good, but unfortunately took so very long to make. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. It's nice that's it's close by, but not worth a visit. Don't waste your money. I have a feeling the place is going to go down very very soon. read more

My wife and I previously loved this place, but not anymore. Service today was slow, and a customer who ordered several minutes AFTER I ordered received their drink first. My drink was poorly made also. There was hardly any boba in it, and it was not properly mixed. The first few sips were very sweet, and the rest was very bitter. Obviously the quality standards and standards of good customer service have gone far downhill at this tea shop. Don't come here and waste your money, there are certainly other tea shops in the area that can do a better job. read more

Got the decaf sweetened tea with aloe and boba, and a iced mocha. Boba was chewy and the aloe complement the drink. The mocha had a good balance of coffee and chocolate taste. Love the proximity of the local shops and there is parking on the street and in the lot around the corner. Friendly staff! Great place to bring the family and the kids. This place is honestly pathetic. They don't smile, no good customer service, they seem to not care at their job. The drinks too a while to make as well, and it was in bad quality. A lot of ice, no real good flavor, mostly artificial tasting. The açaí bowl was also mostly liquid and all of the fruits sunk at the bottom.
