Perfect diner in uptown mt Lebo! The servers are awesome and I love chatting with them every time I come in. The food is so so good! The eggs Benedict was different and delicious! Overall a great diner vibe with amazing diner food! Just what uptown needed!

It's your typical breakfast spot! A quick easy go to sit down spot. It is pretty small so it gets busy quick with seating. Highly suggest going on an unplanned day and just a breakfast outing. They have everything you need from breakfast to lunch.

Classic breakfast dinner with classic breakfast food. The food was average. The prices were very cheap. I got an omelette and it was big and filling. It's a small place so expect a wait on the weekends.

No muffin egg sandwich + add avacado
Tracy H.

I ordered the "no muffin egg sandwich" + add avacado and it was delicious! My only negative about my food was that it was a little on the greasy side. The bread was so tasty and the portion quite large. I could only eat half. The coffee was pleasantly good too. The only negative about the environment is that it is super small and feels cramped. My server was an absolute ray of sunshine and so sweet and attentive. I will definitely return to try another menu option.

Such a charming family owned diner Conveniently located on the main drag of Mt Lebo. The space is one big room with an open kitchen. I the tables are close together and packed in. The decor is simple Greek cafe style with framed pictures of Pittsburgh and Greece. The menu has all the classic diner options plus a few more modern options and seasonal specials. The focus is breakfast but there are also sandwiches and salads. I really enjoyed my omelette. It was stuffed with lemony avocado, bacon, cheese, tomato and caramelized onions. I would recommend visiting this local spot anytime your looking for a simple classic homemade meal.

Veggie Omelet

I had the opportunity to host a group of 18 at Simone's last week for brunch and we had an amazing experience! Our servers were very efficient, kind, and great to banter with. The food was delicious, and came out quick from the kitchen. The restaurant is cozy, and gives diner vibes, which I love. They're also BYOB and make the BEST mimosa with their fresh OJ. Can't wait to go back!

A decent breakfast for pick up option. The veggie omelet is quite big and filling. It comes with a side choice of home fries or grits and many toast options. The food could have used a touch of seasoning. The pancakes are also large and can be made with chocolate chips. The side of bacon was nice and crispy. Parking is challenging, as street parking is limited and metered during the week. There is a public pay parking deck very close, in walking distance and close to the T.

This is a very clean diner! The food is not greasy either. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast dishes came out pretty quickly too.

Yo Yo Burrito

My wife and I had breakfast here recently and I found it to be pretty average. For my meal I had the yo yo breakfast burrito. It was filled with scrambled eggs, potato, black beans, salsa, and cheese. The flavors were just not there. You got a ton of potato in every bite, but not much else. There were almost no black beans in the burrito as well. The whole burrito was drizzled with sour cream, which looked cool, but got messy when trying to actually eat it. It should either be on the side or inside the burrito, this might give it some more flavor.

The Combo Egg Special

First I have to say I loved our server. She greeted us the second the door opened and was very attentive to us the entire time. We had a little mishap with one of our plates, but she completely apologized and got us another plate ASAP. The menu prices were very reasonable as well. The food was great as we both got the combo. The bacon was cooked perfectly!

Oh no, I set the bar way too high. First experience was hands down 5 stars. This past weekend, Flop with a capital F. The menu is great. Many items to choose from. This time, my once Instagram famous photo of the guacamole bacon omelette titled "holy guacamole this is the best omelette I ever had" was disgusting and I couldn't even eat it. Potatoes, completely undercooked. Couldn't even eat them, they were raw. My first experience, perfectly crisp and seasoned. What happened? Omelette, runny and drenched in oil. Hardly any bacon, barely any avocado. It gets better. So I send it back (last time I did this was 5 years ago; I was FAMISHED and couldn't eat this meal) With a nice little "ya what do you need" from a waitress that wasn't even ours..... They somehow remade my dish... and managed to make the wrong omelette. 1- sign to stop eating meat again 2- what the hell happened to the Simone's I've been talking up for two months? Simone took the omelette off the check. Thank you. Very much appreciated. I am thankful for that, and know you appreciate good reviews and feedback as a locally owned business. Simone's has major potential, I've seen it. This was a bad experience but I think it's important to voice that so that this doesn't happen again in the future. This area needs a good brunch spot; and it's on you Simone! Fantastic breakfast, some of the best I've ever had! On a sunny morning we were able to walk our dog here and enjoy an outside bistro table. The tables are right on the sidewalk, so be prepared for lots of foot traffic! Our waitress was sweet, and even brought a water dish for my pup. The menu selection was awesome, I was torn between a few things but decided on the avacadonator omelette. I'm so happy I did! It was the best omelette I ever had, and for less than $10 it was ginormous! I will definitely be back here, looking forward to it!

I had to stop into Fredo's after seeing photos from my daughter who had just spent two weeks in Bosnia. The interior of Fredo's is like stepping into a small shop you'd find in Bosnia. The yellow walls are welcoming, and cozy. There's a small variety of snacks, and beverages on one side of the shop, and a large counter where you'd place your order. There are a few tables for dining in, but I chose to take my order home. I ordered a small Cevapi and Sirnica, plus picked up some Croatian chocolate for dessert. The Cevapi were delicious skinless beef and veal sausages, that were nicely savory and well browned. A cup of chopped onions, and what I think was a yogurt sauce came with my Cevapi which added more flavor and an overall goodness to the Cevapi. A bread similar to a pita made eating Cevapi easy, and filling. The Sirnica was equally delicious. A wonderful mix of flaky, chewy phyllo pastry, and cheese baked inside the pastry. It definitely hit the spot with a nice balance of a light pastry and mild cheese. I ate the leftover half cold, and it was just as good! The lady at the counter was friendly, and patient with me. The menu is truly a deli menu full of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. If you're wanting to go for the House Specials, you won't be disappointed!

The burrata was beautifully plated and perfect on its own with just a fork, no bread needed. But let me go back a second to the cocktail I ordered. The Green genie was light and refreshing. Maybe not your typical December drink but I was intrigued by the pineapple basil infused lemonade. Not a sweet drink kinda girl, I will say this was perfectly balanced and definitely not too sweet. That hint of basil came through in every sip! Definitely recommend. The brisket with mashed potatoes, and vegetables was plated so uniquely- truly a pleasure to behold for the senses. Now for the taste... tender and lightly smoked. The BBQ sauce is a delicious compliment and not overpowering. I decided that it was impossible to choose desserts so I ordered both the honey cake AND the hidden gem. People!! Save room for dessert! The hidden gem is a fun dessert and the pistachio filling is creamy and light. The honey cake is gorgeous, light and the layers are just perfectly even. I would liken it to a crepe cake. My kids will be happy I'm bringing them home a taste of it! The attention to detail, the cocktails, music and the flavor of the food at the Owl's Nest is definitely worth seeking out for lunch or dinner.

We didn't, but somehow got lucky snagging seats at the bar... which honestly turned out to be a perfect spot to eat too! The beet salad was SO good I could've easily ordered a second without hesitation. I had a self-proclaimed Reuben connoisseur with me, and he declared it the best Reuben he's ever had (second only to his own, of course ). It's not your typical version either--no standard Thousand Island overload. The corned beef was perfectly peppered and packed with flavor, and even the bread stood out. Fish tacos? Absolutely a yes. Fresh, flavorful, and just done right. We split sides--tater tots for one dish and the homemade chips for the other. Always go for the homemade chips here. WOW! They had this subtle sweetness that made them seriously addictive. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and food that lives up to the hype. Totally worth it! Our first time here and we loved the room upstairs. Very cozy and intimate. Hardly anyone was there at 7:00 pm on a weekday. Everything went well except the food took forever to arrive. We waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and we couldn't understand because there was hardly anyone in the dining room. (Two other tables and one group had already eaten.) The hamburger was fine when we finally got it. The homemade pickles were the best. My husband loved the salsa. One thing I wish we were told is that there is a surcharge to use a credit card and there was a charge for the salsa. Both those things were a surprise. I love how this place has history. The grandmother owned the Ritz Hotel in Bridgeville and her 7 Up sign from the hotel graces the walls. All the old black and white Heidelberg photos are fun to see. Even though we were disappointed in the slow delivery of our meal, we may give it another try due to the server and the community feel to the place.
