I've been wanting to try this diner for so long now. Today was the day! Our party of 2 was immediately seated on a Sunday afternoon which is unheard of. Free street parking was available and if there's no spot, there's a garage right next door. I usually go straight for the Eggs Benedict, but the Apple Cinnamon French Toast caught my eye. It was good, but I definitely prefer my eggy brunches. My friend got the No Muffin Here sandwich on gluten free bread, without cheese and with avocado. We were both kinda shocked the sausage came out as a link and not a patty, but her meal looked heavenly. I would love to try their home fried next time! The service was super quick and the server was super friendly. Overall, super positive experience. One of my favorite diners yet. Definitely recommend if you want to try something other than Pamela's. Don't forget to bring your own bottle of Prosecco for a mimosa! read more

Third time back and third time I've had to revisit this review. I'm not certain what the root of the problems are at this joint, but the problems are systemic and consistent. So, why a third review? It was my third bad meal. The food was not cooked properly. Both overcooked and under...at the same time! I am very very forgiving as someone in the business, but c'mon! It's eggs and toast and fried potatoes. It's not hard to get this stuff correct. I really really really want this place to succeed and at the very least be...good. The food here is great, but the server experience was not that great. We were seated in a timely manner and sat down very quickly. The young lady with glasses took our drink order and returned shortly after to take our food order. The food took a little while since the kitchen was busy. It came out hot and was exactly what we ordered. We had to ask for silverware and refills on the drinks. Not one time did our server come over to the table and ask us how our food was. We assumed it was because of how busy it was, but even when it cleared out, she only came to present the check without asking if we would like more coffee or anything. Went for the avocado toast and what a disappointment. It was a thin layer of guacamole on a small piece of under-toasted store bought bread. (They used to have the best multigrain toast around, but not any more.) And this "average at best" meal set me back $11 (just for the toast). My wife got a wrap and felt about the same as I did ... Mediocre at best. And just as a final slap in the face, I was charged a fee for using a credit card. read more

This is the 3rd time I've tried Simone's because I really want to like it but this time was the worst. First problem was my silverware was covered in old food - gross! Second problem, I ordered my omelet without cheese. It came with cheese. I didn't want to be a pain and send it back so I kept it as is. Third problem, three bites in, I find a hair... I didn't make a big deal, just told the waitress about it and said I didn't want another. The waitress was nice as she apologized several times (not her fault!). When she returned, she said sorry but Simone (the owner) said she didn't see anything but we've taken it off anyways. That comment is a smack in the face... In any case, you take responsibility and just apologize. I proceeded to say, I guess I should have personally shown her the hair cooked into my omelet... Point is, don't argue. Don't be combative. Very disappointed in the customer service and overall experience at Simone's. We waited over 30 minutes for a child's meal and 2 avocado toasts. When the order came, it was incorrect and no offer of correcting the mistake or making or bill reflect our order- we were over charged. (They were actually going to taken back the eggs and give to another customer which is concerning based on COVID pre- cautions) The actual breakfast was very bland. As a customer, we felt like we were an inconvenience(since we had children) even though we were the only family there on a Sunday morning- there is a reason why. Update to original review ~ We have been back a few times since the first time, all good experiences. We went today and unfortunately it was a disaster. I ordered the chicken chop avacado salad. It did not say it came with feta. It came with feta and no avacado. Sent back. Came back with still no avacado. Took back to the owner working in the kitchen to put avacado on it. 3rd times a charm I guess. However, it said it came with black beans & corn. If you count about 5 black beans and maybe 10 kernels of corn as ingredients, I suppose. Disappointing. Hubs was hungry and ordered a gyro omelette and a burger. The tzaziki sauce wasn't good. Burger was inedible. Meat had an off taste. Server was very nice, but didn't know about how things were made. I blame owner/management for not training. He didn't know what the Greek dressing was. Also didn't know if the tzaziki sauce was yogurt based or sour cream based. We had asked about the sauce the last time we were there and actually was told 2 different things. Not sure if it was an off day all around but big let down today. The biggest disappointment was that the owner was aware of the salad being made 3 times and didn't come over to apologize or see if it was finally made right. As a small business owner, customer service is of utmost importance. Will not return. read more

The food was a disappointment. The French toast was very basic, rather tasteless. The strawberry crepe was bland; I had to really douse it with syrup to add flavor. I don't know how the food is I never got a table!! My wife and I walked in on Sunday morning about 9:00 am we were not greeted or even noticed for 10 minutes. We noticed there were two open tables when we walked in but a sign stating, please wait to be seated. Finally someone asked how many in our party, when we said two the employee walked past us to people waiting outside and asked them how many. After a moment the employee led the people who had just showed up to a table. My wife and I both have many years experience working in restaurant from our college days. This is not how you treat people, the only thing we could come up with we are a mixed couple. Unacceptable we will not return ever! read more

We had eggs Benedict that was served cold; potatoes were undercooked and lacked seasoning and a simple traditional breakfast cooked with way too much grease and poorly presented. $40 with a 20% standard tip for two people, I expect more.
