My family went to the Jenny Lee Breakfast Nook on a Sunday morning around 10:45. It was busy but we were able to order promptly and get a seat. You order at the register when you enter and then you take your seat. Coffee/water are self serve, and other beverages are in bottles. There was a Dixieland type band playing in the back, they were fun and helped create a great atmosphere, they were just a little too loud. I ordered the special which had a piece of toast, real potatoes, a great piece of sausage, and two eggs over medium. My oldest son got a bowl and a pancake, my youngest son had a cheesesteak, and my wife had cinnamon French toast. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. This is a quality breakfast option. I would recommend and return. Just be prepared that it isn't full service.

    Breakfast bowl. Extremely salty

This was my first time dining here and unfortunately, will be my last. The atmosphere was nice and almost like an old time 1950's vibe with a live polka band playing. I liked the band but it was extremely loud for such a small place. The main issue; though, was that the food and cleanliness of the restaurant were poor. I ordered a breakfast bowl which was basically a whole bowl full of chopped potatoes with hardly any egg in it and loaded with tons of salt. I really wanted to like it but I couldn't. It was making my stomach sick. The toast was doughy and soaked with a lot of butter. Also the hot sauce bottle on the table looked really old with dried crust all over the opening. Most of the tables were left with plates from the previous guests. We waited for our food for about 15 minutes. Only upon arrival of the food did the server ask if we wanted her to clear the previous plates with food and dirty napkins on it. (Uh yeah) She had already set down our food so we had to pick up the dirty plates and napkins and hand them to her and then she didn't even wipe off the table. Several other tables around us were not cleared as well. I thought my husband's meal might be a little better than mine because it was simpler than the breakfast bowl. He just had scrambled eggs with bacon and potatoes but he said the eggs were extremely salty too. Also, not a big deal but you have to pour your own coffee out of carafes and when I went to, it was empty. Had to wait for a pot to brew. The lady at the front counter was very nice though. It's a shame because the place is cute and could be good but needs a different menu and maybe more people to work there.

Looking for brunch near the airport, we found ourselves at Jenny Lee's Breakfast Nook, a nondescript little house open serving up breakfast and lunch goodies. Since it was brunch time, I got the BLT - six slices of crispy bacon with generous slices of tomato and shredded lettuce sandwiched between two slides of toasted white, with a side of spice pasta salad. Others got the chicken caprese (small but filling) and the Bernie's Big Breakfast with bacon and sausage (big, just like it says), and the classic cinnamon swirl. And if nothing else, the pancakes are huge, fluffy, and flavorful, ready to be slathered in butter and maple syrup before being gobbled down. Jenny Lee's is the real deal - definitely recommended for anyone looking for genuine good grub near the airport. If you're in the area, you gotta give Jenny Lee's a try!

I came in on a Saturday to check out the restaurant and grab brunch. They had seasonal goodies, including pumpkin French toast and pumpkin whoopie pie. The French toast was delicious and came with a meat option (I ordered bacon). They food came out quickly and it was delicious. The festive French toast came with cream cheese frosting. I'll definitely be back to try the other menu items. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

This restaurant is so cute! The service was great also. Everyone was very friendly. I got the pumpkin pie french toast with bacon and it was so so good. We got gobs (whoopie pies) to go and they were delicious. I am sad that I didn't try this place sooner. I am very pleased and will definitely being adding this to my favorites list! The prices were fair and the portions are large.

So excited they opened this new spot in moon! We ordered one morning when our usual location was not taking to-go orders and fell in love! Turners tea available, to-go orders ready super quickly, specials, and friendly staff! They sell all the Jenny Lee loaves also! They have a lunch menu that is available all day as well as breakfast!

Looking for a delicious breakfast? Stop what you're doing and go here. Excellent service and pretty speedy too. The coffee was so good, and my breakfast was perfect. Very cute place with nice decor and a homey vibe.

Nice little casual place for breakfast. The Apple Cinnamon French toast was sweet and tasty that is made with Jenny Lee cinnamon swirl bread. Had a Turners Iced Tea! Small menu. Plastic utensils. Very friendly staff.

I tried out the Jenny Lee Breakfast Nook with two friends recently. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. My one friend asked if she could change the cheese on her sandwich and was told no...it was already made beforehand. That worried us a little. We assumed if you have three types of cheeses you could mix and match. I thought I was going to love the combination of herbs on the bread for the sandwich but they didn't work with me. It was just an odd flavor profile. The workers were super nice, friendly, and helpful. The inside could be cute but it is a huge area.

It may surprise some to know how many times I've hung out in Pittsburgh in the last 16 years or so,…read morebecause I've never been to a Primanti Bros. before. But then again, I am vegetarian, so I didn't think they offered anything for me. I've looked at the menu online more than once, and didn't see any sandwiches designated vegetarian each time. But I was meeting a friend before a concert on the RMU campus, and this was conveniently located 1 mile away, and it had food and beer. I kept an open mind and figured, I'll just modify one of their sandwiches. When I arrived, I learned they also have a pizza option. But I still thought... when in Rome... There was a black bean option listed on their wall menu, but the waitress double-checked for me and we learned together that they use to offer that option, but no longer do. Damn. There was however a cheese (no meat) option on the menu, which I was surprised wasn't on the online menu. But I'll take it! Their sandwiches are interesting in that instead of sides of french fries and cole slaw, the sides are just stacked into the sandwich to make it a quick easy convenient meal! The draft beer selection was good, the sandwich was decent enough, and the service was great (weekday evening). In the end, I am not sure I'd run back for my one sandwich menu option, maybe I'd try their pizza, or go for some sides, or just stop in for a beer on my way to my next show. I enjoyed the vibe and most everthing about the place, but the sandwich was just okay.

I just was not thrilled. You definitely have to expect a weird experience if you want to enjoy the food here. I also ordered a slice of cheese pizza just in case I didn't like the sandwich. Unfortunately I didn't like the pizza even more. Lol. Live and learn. I still get three stars because there were totally nothing wrong with the Pitts-burger except I didn't like it. The pizza was not good though. The customer service was pretty decent though. So pops for that.

We were first time customers, and he made us feel right at home. My sister and I came here for breakfast and a coffee before starting our day. We ordered one of each breakfast sandwich because they all sounded to good to pass up. Our overall favorite was the Our Breakfast Sandwich. All the flavors were delicious together, but the basil mayo and the homemade bread were the stars. The house made bacon jam on the Breakfast Panini was some of the best I have ever had. It was mostly bacon, and not all jam like others I have tried, which really gave it that homemade touch. The Multigrain Panini was the most mild out of the three, but still full of flavor. The freshly brewed coffee was rich and smooth. The café is mostly takeout, but we were able to sit inside at the bar top which faced a large window. In the fridge and freezers, there are homemade soups, meatballs, bread, and more. These would be a perfect option for a quick, quality family dinner. If you are in a rush, there is an option to order on the website for seamless pickup. I can not wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner options.

They only have two tables and a few barstools along the window for indoor dining, but did mention that customers often take their food across the street to the coffee shop to enjoy when space isn't available. We were able to utilize the table for two. We both ordered the Italian wedding soup, a cup for $6 each, and two sandwiches. I went with the spicy Italian on their homemade bun and my friend got the turkey pesto panini. We both enjoyed the soup and she devoured her sandwich. Unfortunately, I didn't love mine as much as I had hoped. The sandwich was cold, which isn't necessarily a problem, but the bun itself was chilled, dense, soft white bread. After picking the sandwich up a couple of times, the bun became wrinkled and slightly off-putting. I'm sure there are a lot of people who love these buns, but it wasn't the combo for me. I'd try something on sourdough or focaccia next time.

Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. A couple of us were really excited to try the chicken parm, but we were quickly disappointed by the lack of flavor (very, very bland) and how thick the pieces of chicken were. Choosing to eat here ended up being a regret and waste of money. We spent over $100 for a meal that I honestly could have done a better job cooking at home...and I'm not even that great of a cook! Needless to say, we won't be back and don't recommend wasting your time and money here.
