So... first time here - parking lot is rather busy given other businesses around. We went on a Friday night .. they had a decent crowd. There are specials you can get if you order in the app - so we sat down placed our order and waited. It took a bit longer than the app promised - but they finally called my name and I grabbed my food The chicken sandwich was good - French fries were meh. I have had better. Got chocolate shake too .. it what a heavy dark chocolate taste if you like that. Restaurant was clean except the trash was overflowing. 2nd time having Shake Shack, but this time wasn't as satisfying. This is a newer spot going up Summit Park Dr. Employees were kind, didn't eat inside but plenty of room in there for sure! The Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake was yummy. More than enough pistachio and kataifi (which places usually skimp out on). It says that it's a pistachio custard, but it honestly just tasted like vanilla to me. Lining the cup with the thinnest layer of cracking chocolate I've ever seen didn't make it any more chocolate-y either. Bummer! More chocolate would make this! The Smoky Classic BBQ Chicken was meh. This BBQ I just wasn't a fan of, it was almost too strong! Other than my taste, others may enjoy it. It was put together nicely! The 'Shroom Burger wasn't mine, but I was told that it was delicious, so there's that! Fried Pickles also weren't the best. Lacking flavor & the one double pickle had raw batter in between the two, yuck! Next time I'll stick with what they're pros at; burgers & fries. read more

Shake Shack coming to Pittsburgh was one of the best days ever. All of the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The staff greets you as you walk in, and the food comes out fast. We had a great first visit. The ordering system is a breeze & the food was good. I was presently surprised at how fast our food was ready. Crazy. Prize per meal average around $25.00 my boyfriend was complaining about the size of his burger but I thought it was just right. I don't need anything over the top. Ordering was done on a touch pad and was easy once we figured it out. ordered a single shake shack burger, fries, chocolate milkshake, Carolina burger, S'mores shake. the burgers were wonderful! great flavor and looked appetizing. paid extra 49¢ for malt in the shake...that was a waste as I don't believe it added anything. the s'mores shake was enjoyed. the fries were not piping hot. overall we enjoyed the meal. but we discussed a family coming here with kids that takes two bites and throws it away is so expensive. our little lunch stop cost us just over $39!! we could go to Applebees for less than that! while we enjoyed the burgers it is mostly once and done for us! read more

Worst sandwich ever and it wasn't cheap. I was excited to order the new rib bbq sandwich, but when I got it home, it was terrible. The meat is very dry and overcooked. This location of Shake Shack opened a few months ago, and is located in North Fayette, just over the border from Robinson Township. It shares a building with the new Chipotle. This was formerly the spot where Quaker Steak and Lube was, and is in-between Sam's Club and Chick-fil-A. This was my first visit to this location, and only my second visit to Shake Shack ever (I tried the one down in the Strip District about a year or so ago). I saw a promotion online for the "Chicken Shack Combo," for $9.99, which included a chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink, so that is what I wanted to try. When you walk inside, there are four kiosks for you to order from, or you can go to a person with a cash register at the counter. I eschewed the kiosks, and ordered from the person, who was very friendly and polite. He took my order, I showed him a photo of the promotion, and he rung it up correctly, and my total was $10 and some change to cover tax. He gave me a number, and told me to choose a seat and someone would bring my food to me. My lunch arrived after a few minutes of waiting, and was delivered by a friendly, smiling, polite server. This was my first time trying chicken at Shake Shack, and I thought it was pretty good. The herb mayonnaise and pickles made the sandwich tasty. I thought the chicken was O.K. too. Not bad for a ten dollar lunch. After eating, a staff person came over and asked to clean up my trash. I was impressed how everyone that worked here was so friendly and polite . . . I'm excited to have a Shake Shack closer to home! This location has a few parking spaces close to the door but it can be confusing to navigate. Ordering is mobile only - either via tablet at the restaurant or on your phone. If dining in, grab a number and be sure to get water/ketchup/napkins before sitting down. There is plenty of seating and an outdoor area that will be nice when the weather cooperates. Staff will bring your food to you (if you selected dine in and added your table number) or call your name for take out. My order took 13 minutes to prepare and there appeared to be two dine in and two take out orders ahead of me. I did not see food come out for 10 minutes and the entry started to get congested. Food seemed to come out all at once so I imagine there was a backup on the kitchen. I felt the wait could be improved but it was on par with other locations. Luckily, the food was fantastic. I couldn't wait for Shake Shack to begin opening stores in the Pittsburgh area. What a disappointment it turned out to be. The burger (slider) was tasty enough but so very tiny, hence my slider dig. The burger is the same size as a McD's burger that was 15 cents when they hit the market. My meal of a single burger, small fries and Diet Coke came in at just pennies shy of 20 bucks. Big ripoff. Then there's the service. Three-toed sloths can complete orders faster than the staff, at least at this location. 25 minutes from ordering to completion. Then they ask for a tip with no service rendered. It is not my responsibility to pay your employees. It is clearly factored into the price already. Bad store. Mediocre food. Super high prices. Once the burgers came, the burger only had one singular piece of lettuce on it. I have eaten here a few times. Full-disclosure, I am from the west coast, which means I'm an In-N-Out advocate. Shake Shack is a close second, leaving Five Guys in the dust. I can already hear some of the locals complaining about the ordering system or the prices. Here's the truth. This is a better "fast food" burger. They use quality ingredients, and the food is cooked correctly. The burgers are tasty smash burgers. The fries are crinkle fries and hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Their shakes are better than the Milkshake Factory. There is a reason that the original SS had long lines in NYC. This North Fayette location is consistent and makes quality food. I was excited to try out Shake Shack for the first time but was very disappointed. Place was nice and clean and the food came out fast. Though for a bacon burger, fries and drink it was $17. The burger was good, but tasted almost exactly like a Wendy's burger. The fries were good but the portion of them was very small for the price. So overall the food wasn't bad at all, it was just for $17 I could have gone to a fast food place and gotten twice the amount of food at the same quality. Would give more stars if it was reasonably priced, but I can eat at a sit down restaurant for cheaper. read more

I want to try and give a fair review. I use to like shake shack when I would occasionally go to one. Now there is one in my backyard. Obviously the food milkshakes and drinks are great. Ambiance is good, clean, and service is good. That all said it's not a good value, in fact it's bad. One Smokeshack, one plain single burger, chicken sandwich, 2 small fries, 2 drinks, apple juice, and one milkshake was over $63. Keep in mind these are not "gourmet" burgers, they are smash styled, thin patties. Delicious, but delicious for what they are. Might come back on days I'm feeling financially irresponsible or hit a jackpot. This all said, if the value factor improved this would be a top contender in the area. read more

Over all the burger and shake were good, but ridiculously small portions for the price. My wife ordered a single scoop custard and by the time she got it, it was practically melted... seriously not nearly worth almost $5 a small scoop. Service was awesome. Place was small and crowded and noisy as you'd expect, probably because it's so new to the area. Nearly $50 for 2 burgers, 2 shakes and a melted scoop of ice cream. I went here because of the hype and it was new. And sorry, it was a very meh burger. I do not get it at all. The regular burger was small and not tasty at all, and the fries were even worse, like the supermarket crinkle fries. Yeah, it looks nice inside, it is not expensive and the staff are nice, but it is a very overrated burger, unless for some reason this locations burger is different from others in quality. If not, I do not get it at all. BK and McD's are frankly better than this. read more
