    Pittsburgh style buffalo chicken wrap
    Joey V.

Another visit to Nox's and another Pgh style buffalo chicken wrap was ordered. One on my favorites. The place was so busy but the staff did a great job taking care of us like always.

Food/service/ambiance employees kids running around, she missed a whole order of wings, waitress forgot more than just our tables items. Honey cajun was different than last time we were here. Some wings were very soft and they were all ordered hard. A table of 2 couples walked in and had the audacity to ask another table to move so they could sit there and the staff watched and allowed it.

AMAZING Nashville Chicken Sandwich!! Nox on 8 has friendly staff, quick service, and great tasting food. I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and it was to die for! It wasn't too spicy and had SO much flavor. It was perfectly fried, and had pickles and lettuce with a Kaiser roll. My boyfriend had the Pittsburgh Steak Wrap and it was also very good and had lots of flavor, but the Nashville Chicken Sandwich is definitely the thing to get here. The fries were also very good! It had a very welcoming atmosphere and was not too loud or busy which was great. Definitely recommend stopping here!!

Food was average. Service was great. Ambiance was terrible. They're in desperate need of some interior design work.

Trivia and live music are sometimes available for entertainment. In the past few years, my husband and I have eaten at Wheelfish a few times. For our meals, the hostess and waitress promptly and politely served us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Pretzel bites - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK. For drinks, we had iced tea, diet Pepsi, and water. The waitresses brought refills.

Out here in the North Hills, we've been stuck with chain options -- so when Three Brothers Bagels came to Shaler, it really helped fill a void. This place is a great destination for all kinds of bagels, bagel sandwiches, baked goods AND really, really good soup. My personal favorite so far has been the potato leek soup with bagel croutons. It was so good that I'd love to see it become a menu staple rather than just a special. As for the bagels themselves, the selection strikes a nice balance of savory and sweet, and the spreads and fillings follow suit. What I especially love is that the sandwiches go beyond just breakfast -- there are creative, lunch-style options that set them apart. And yes, their bagels are chewy and might give your jaw a workout after a whole sandwich, but honestly... isn't that just what a bagel is? Tip: Make sure you get there early or plan to order ahead this place is SO popular and regularly sells out. I'm also looking forward to seeing their food truck out and about. Highly recommend for anyone in the North Hills looking for quality bagels, sandwhiches, soups and some genuinely great baked goods!

The different types of bagels are good, Jalepeno cheddar could have a little more Jalepeno in it, but solid. The real highlight was the sausage egg and cheese, the sausage being freshly pressed and made in house really made it standout, definitely recommend! Overall, it's a real good spot for a bagel sandwich, plus they got coffee and some other treats that people were raving about, def will try next time!

Even more surprised to find out there is more than one location. Today we stopped at this location in the North hills about 2pm. Place was empty, we had the friendliest service from Ashley who checked on us frequently and topped off our drinks and also chatted with us about our impromptu Pittsburgh food tour. Anyways, our gyros were ready in moments and were scrumptious. The sauce is a sour-cream base with seasonings and delish. The fries were out of this world and, I hesitate to say this, but I think better than Thrasher's in Rehoboth and that's the highest bar I have. I would totally come back here because our meals were great and the service friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Thanks for an awesome experience!
