10000000/10 - from the burgers to the fries to the chicken Sammie's. EVERYTHING IS PERFECTION. Run by some amazing humans and we're lucky to have them in Pittsburgh. If you're in the area stop in for one of pittsburghs best smash burgers with a side of crispy perfection of fries! Thanks for existing the same time as me!

I hate to admit that I liked this place for all the shit I talk on smash burgers, but I banged with this place so much. It's rare that I ever like one. I like a thick patty cooked bloody rare. Cant get that with a smashed. They're always overly salted with some average sauce, and never seasoned well. This place did not bring that. Patties not overly salted, house sauce had a little extra love in it, onions sautéed beautifully and who doesn't love a Martin's potato roll. You'll see they don't offer lettuce or tomatoes. That's because they know their burger only needs to be done one way and that'll bring you right back French fries were McDonald's on steroids. Insane crisp on each one and they were beyond generous with the portions. Those queso fries I'll be having wet dreams about It was me and 6 other people in there. Owner Rodney came out and talked to us. He was super down to earth and cared deeply about his spot It's inside a bar so if you plan on going at night it's going to be SLAMMED. If you want to go to simply dry the burger go closer to when they first open because you will be waiting

First time ordering fro this food truck and probably last, just based on customer service. Told 25-30 minutes. Came back in 45-50 minutes and still not ready. Told come back in 5. Still not ready for another 10-15. I understand things happen but the way it was handled was horrible. Burgers are pretty decent at least, but based on service and price, not worth it. Minimal respect for clients.

Love the smashed burgers and the crab cakes are to die for! Go see them wherever they are! Follow their instagram page for updates!

Their food truck was at Stick City Brewery today (also a great place!). My wife and I showed up at 5pm and they were so popular throughout the day they were almost out of all their food! They had enough meat for two burgers for my wife and I. The person working in the food truck made sure he could try and get us the burgers. Their burgers were AMAZING and so were their shoestring fries. We liked them so much my wife asked where they'd be next! If they're in your area make sure to try them!

Food was not terrible, very pricy for what you got. 40+ for two burgers and fires seat and serve yourself. The place and vibe was okay.

From the outside it was non-desript, but the inside revealed a sizeable taproom/restaurant setup with a decent sized bar to go along with it all. Though we did not eat here, we could see they had a nice sized menu and it was made to order. For beers we had each a lager and a dunkel, very good offerings that came in nice cone-shaped glassware - definitely out of the ordinary. Service was spot on and super friendly as we shared our experiences on the day and they genuinely were receptive to the whole discussion. Though it was a little hard to find, it was worth the effort and definitely worth a return trip...

It started in trying to go to the south side location but it was just a window, and I really wanted to experience the full outing so we doubled back to the strip and Larryville. Anyway - we sat down and were helped immediately by a very animated waitress with red hair? Place is very industrial - large signage and some tv's - kind of like a Buffalo Wild Wings. I ordered the double stack make your own with beef, regular bun, cheddar, bacon and burgher sauce. As my side I swapped for mac and cheese. The food came out fairly quick. The burger was VERY GOOD. Seasoned nicely, stacked high, and really just a solid burger. I added an extra side of the burgher sauce as well to dunk the burger in which was really good too. The macaroni was good - just wasn't hot. The cheese sauce was nice and flavorful, not bland at all Overall - I would come back here. And I would recommend.

Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

The business practices whole-animal, nose-to-tail butchery that respects the animals. Even bones and fat are used. My husband and I shopped here one time. Other customers were inside the store, but the employees in the store served us promptly and politely. We saw cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and poultry as well as sandwiches, soups, spices, maple syrup, etcetera. We did not see as many unique meats as larger butcher shops sell. Prices were OK. We bought beef skewers and cooked them at home. We thought that the quality of the meat could have been better, but we liked the juiciness and flavors.

All the ingredients had the perfect portions and came together beautifully. It was a perfect medium-well cook. The fries are hand cut and delicious. I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.

BEST SMASHBURGER IN PITTSBURGH…read more It would be hard to convince me otherwise. As soon as you step into the unassuming, corner burger spot, you feel instantly teleported into a retro spot. The colors, dining furniture, even the menu transports you back in time and feels so cozy. Order at the front with the cashier and drinks are bottled in the cooler next to it. It's a smash burger so if you're hungry, maybe get a double the onions that come with it are grilled, which was a nice surprise and the sauce they put on the burger was really good. The hotdog had a nice snap to it which I don't care either way, but I know some people are big on that the chili had no beans which is the only way to have it when it comes to a hotdog or french fries and it's made by the local restaurant up the street brothMonger. Everything is made fresh to order even the fries. And the chocolate milkshake was made with actual chocolate ice cream same with vanilla and strawberry. I'll definitely be back to try the onion rings because they looked delicious and served with ranch from a local spot.

November 2025: lightly edited realtime notes:…read more - This is like a pop-up restaurant that is inside of a bar. - Buffalo wings, Nashville hot wings. The wings are cooked perfectly. The sauce is weak. The fact that the wings are crispy and fried and 100% dead-on makes up for the weak sauce. All things considered, 4.2. Could be 4.6 to 4.8 with decent sauce. In retrospect, having tasted the sauce as a side (below) I think they tossed the wings in the sauce when they were too hot, kind of denatured things, and got too much oil in it. The sauce is actually very good, and these wings could have been a notch or two better if they had let them cool for just a hot second before tossing them. These wings have the potential to be some of the very best in the city. - Onion rings here are just absolutely perfect. Think of the best a Burger King onion ring could be, and these are four notches up from that. - The french fries are OK. - The side of buffalo sauce that they brought us from the kitchen is so much better than how the wings came out; I am presuming that the wings were tossed in the sauce too hot, and not enough. These guys actually have a great buffalo sauce. - I got the Smashburger. Cheese, lettuce, pickles and their special sauce. No substitutions permitted. This burger is excellent and exactly what I wanted. 10 of 10, would totally order again. - One of our group got the signature applewood burger."It's delicious!" - Another got the farmhouse burger and seems to be completely tickled with it. "It's really good. How can you go wrong with bacon and egg on a burger?" Unfortunately, restaurant was out of the cheese sauce tonight. We observed that the cheese sauce would've made it "fire." - J got the Cajun burger. "Awesome. Very good!" He wishes he would've asked them to add bacon to it.
