Came here for some drinks before my wife and I had anniversary dinner. Very chill establishment. Great service and cool vibe. Wanna come back here and try the food soon!

A cute spot! We stopped in for a couple beers and could not recommend the Bombs in Pop Space Fruited Sour, it was so good! The branding to be honest that what drew me into trying place and everything from the coasters to the t-shirts were so cute. There were just two people working, a cook and a bartender but both were incredibly friendly and gave us awesome service.

We enjoy this non-pretentious, accessibly priced establishment. Kind and genuine staff. Excellent happy hour. Food is good and consistent. It's usually quiet enough that you can have a conversation. Would be a nice casual date spot.

1/25/25 Ate List: Cafeteria Chicken Patties - Score 7.8 LTO Burger - 7.4 Tots - 8.1 Hush Puppies - 7.2 First time here and it was absolutely delicious. The Cafeteria Chicken Patties are like perfect crispy chicken sliders. Could've crushed like 6 of them. So good! Love the Calabrian Mayo on here. The Burger was delicious as well. As far as smash burgers go, this was one of the better ones I've had. Never been the biggest fan of smash burgers personally but for there being 2 patties on the burger, it somehow still felt quite light. Very very good. The hush puppies were solid. A little bigger than I expected and wish I had something aside from the Malt Vinegar Mayo to dip. Felt very plain. Wish there was a sort of Chipotle Aioli or something tangy to pair with these. Last but not least. The TOTS. So good. The dust on these was unexpected but very welcome. They were addicting. Also very very light. Personally like a little more crisp to them but these were undeniably great. Definitely coming back.

LSS makes a solid burger! For $11 it's on par with other places around the neighborhood. It was cooked and seasoned well and I liked that they added some seasoning to the shredded lettuce.

Stopped in here to fuel up before going bowling at Arsenal Bowling. Asked the bartender for recommendations on the food and drinks- he didn't steer us wrong. We got the Chopped Cheese and the Smashburger. Both were excellent. Everything tasted good and the beers paired nicely with the food. We sat at the bar but there were a couple of other tables open- nice size place. We will most definitely return!

Casual, laid back spot for beer, sandwiches, and pinball. Of course they have Cinderlands beer on tap and other great drink options, including cider and cocktails. I will say that while I miss the former Foederhouse, this place is a great replacement. Ordered at the bar and the food was served promptly. My husband and I split a salad and tater tots. The tots were super crispy and well seasoned. I got the Philly Roast Pork sandwich and my husband had the Italian. They both were good although I could have used a little more aged provolone on my sandwich. Side note - I'm originally from outside Philly and we like a lot of aged provolone on our pork ;) Be sure to check out the pinball machines upstairs. Always a good time!

I was looking for a casual place to get together with friends during a visit back to PGH, and I stumbled across Long Story Short. I had never heard of it, but I was intrigued by its location and connection to Cinderlands (another place I hadn't yet been). My husband and our friends visited on a Saturday evening, and we were pleased to have no issues finding a table, although it did get more crowded as the night progressed. The space isn't massive, but it can pack a good crowd among the bar seating and booths. The restaurant has a fun vibe, very bar-like decor and a little eclectic but still welcoming; it was a great choice to meet friends. The beer menu was quite long, featuring all Cinderland brews but a large variety for all palates. I really enjoyed my sour, which luckily wasn't *too* tart but a perfect balance. My friends and husband all enjoyed their beers (sours and IPAs, mostly) too. Prices were comparable to other spots in PGH but totally reasonable given the quality. For being a smaller operation, I was surprised by how large the menu was. It focuses mostly on handhelds / sandwiches, but also features a few salads and sides. I wound up going for the special of the day at the recommendation of the server; it was a vegetarian rueben melt which featured a ton of sauerkraut (to my liking) and an appropriately crisp rye bread encasing. The flavors were great, and the sandwich was the right amount of filling to keep me satisfied. My dining partners got a variety of dishes, but all feeling similar that they were well done and hit the spot. I didn't go for any sides, but they did look intriguing, particularly the hush puppies! Similar to the beers, the food pricing was so reasonable for the quality and quantity. The menu focus on sandwiches was perfect for a casual beer spot, and I thought they did both so well. We really enjoyed our visit to Long Story Short, and I would totally come back when meeting up with other friends in PGH or even for a casual date night. Thanks for being a great addition to ever-changing Lawrenceville!

I checked out the new Long Story Short earlier this week - it's the old Lawrenceville Cinderlands that's still run by the same people but turned into a sandwich shop and bar. Four of us went on a Monday evening and it stayed pretty low key the entire time. There's not a ton of seating inside. There's the bar seating, a couple of seats at the front window, a handful of booths that can squeeze four, and a casual room in the back with the pool table for hanging out. There is also a small upstairs with a handful of arcade games. You order at the iPad kiosk and they give you a number on a stand to bring to wherever you're sitting. Our food came out fairly quickly. I'm normally not impressed by sandwiches but wow, these were incredibly flavorful! They were enormous - one of my friends took half her sandwich home. They even had tasty vegetarian options for one of my friends and the seasoning on the tots was delicious. I definitely want to come back and try their other offerings. Overall, I would recommend this casual spot. I do like that it's open Mondays because sometimes it's impossible to find a place to eat earlier in the week.

Long Story Short...it's pretty rad I know a lot of you were nervous when they announced the end of Foederhouse, but I really think you're gonna love it here This food was really great. I was OBSESSED with the loaded tots with cheese curds. I'm also still dreaming about the Handshake sammie with braised beef, horseradish cheese, pickled red onion , and broccoli . Oh and the beer? All your @cinderlandsbeer favorites are still on tap including one of my top picks, Gregg, Foeder Saison, 6.7% and a killer HAHPS, WCIPA, 7%. They're also now offering a full drink menu of non beer options including @bigfootbenjamin 's favorite- Green Tea shots . I forgot to mention games! You can hang out in their back space, an elevated 70/80's dive bar design, and play your favorite bar games or even some Mrs.Pac-Man

I ordered from one of the options on google maps to get some sandwiches and sides to-go for lunch. The site said it would take 15 min to prep and the bag was sitting on the counter when I got there ~11 min later. We got the Nashville chicken and the Italian sandwiches and they both were so flavorful in their own way- it was hard to choose a favorite. We couldn't enjoy them right away and surprisingly they both sat well in the bag for over an hour til they were eaten. A great choice for a meal on the go.

I need to give this place a shot again. Giving 4 because service was great and everyone was super friendly. I ordered pickup. However, the Philly was super greasy to the point where a waterfall was coming out of the bottom of the sandwich as I ate it. For the price tag, I honestly prefer Peppis.

We walked about 10 min and change from our hotel to the strip district location. It is a small little place made up for by its attention grabbing wall art of famous and loved Pittsburgh figures. The menu is easy enough. Pick a protein (there are many options) to go on the sandwich which is the standard cole slaw, cheese, tomato, and fries tucked between two slices of thick, soft white bread. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to see a vegetarian option with both a cheese and an egg and cheese version. GF and I shared and it is not a bad sandwich to share bc the thing is massive. That isn't to say that I couldn't have eaten another half bc I absolutely could have. The thing is so large and busting with ingredients I wondered how I could fit it for a bite but where there's a will, there's a way. It was excellent. What a great combo of flavors and textures. I only wish there was more cheese. I do feel like with the cheese version there should be more than what is in the version with meat but call me crazy. I could eat that every day.

Medium loudness, mainly from people's conversations. Went to bar area, little to right of entering and ordered. Asked for their special and the asked for the type of meat. Didn't know so they suggested I try pastrami and the capicola. Ordered and waited maybe 10-15min and they gave us our order in a big paper bag. It was heavy! Opened up one of the sandwiches to share and nicely the sandwich was cut in half already. Just need to tear the paper wrapper to separate. As you may know, sandwich has Cole slaw and fries on it, so it's thick. Preferred the capicola over the pastrami. Decent amount of meat on the sandwich but waaaayyy more fries than anything. The close slaw adds some crunch and tartness to a pretty mild sandwich. Overall, food was underwhelming. I'd stop by again but for some kielbasa or something ethnic. Otherwise I'd probably just try another nearby place to eat.
