I am greeted with a professional demeanor even though Gabe is frequently quite busy, my packages always arrive on time.

I was just refused service at this store. A store clerk with a name tag that said "Dude" on it…read morerefused to pack and ship my return of an Amazon Kindle with a my Amazon shipping label. He refused the paid UPS service of boxing and packing the device, got verbally abusive, and told me he didn't care if I complained about him or his refusing service. I've had nasty encounters in this store before (and clearly many others have from the reviews here.) But I've never been flat-out refused a paid UPS Store service or been chewed out by an employee for asking for one. I have far more respect for myself as a person than "Dude" had for me as a customer. I told Amazon what happened and they changed my return channel to my local Whole Foods store.

I live behind the building and I avoid this location. Shipping stores handle A LOT of returns…read more Returns need labels. Most stores charge $2-$3 fee for up to let's say 10 pages. Annoying but not bad. This store used to be fairly busy. When you slap a printing fee and a page fee and I believe they now have a tape fee??? people stop feeling good about going to said store. Also, 3 people at the counter and not a single one walks up to help hold the door for a large package. Just blank stares behind the counter. Not what I like to see when I'm struggling to get in... I drive 6 miles south to the UPS store in Lincoln Park on North Ave where the staff prints all my labels for $2 total. The end. The owners son comes out TO MY CAR to help me carry heavy boxes. It's never expected and I've never asked but the service is there- as it should be.

SAVE MY LIFE! After a frustrating FAIL at several FedEx locations, I came here to send an envelope…read morethat HAD to be at it's recipient on a specific day. Why is FedEx even still in business? No guarantees, no customer service on Sundays. Useless. Yes, I get that it's a holiday weekend, but what is even the point when everything FedEx seems to stop on weekends. Enter the nice guy at the UPS store. Got my envelope all fixed up, and guaranteed delivery (barring super inclement weather, which, reasonable) when I needed it delivered. UPS is a bit more expensive than FedEx, but when they actually do what you are paying them to do - it's worth it. THANK YOU - and why the bad reviews of this place, I found it to be helpful and friendly, well organized and clean - and both the guys in the stop were handsome. Bonus!

I just had a very weird/bad experience at this store. I came in to drop off a usps package. When I…read moreentered an older black lady and two kids were at the counter with a few packages they were trying to send. They were just at the counter like any other customer. A tall employee came from the back on the phone and seemed frustrated with them for some reason. After they hung up they said that the lady could stay but demanded that everyone else leave. When the employee realized I, also black, was not with them and wasn't leaving they asked if I was dropping off the box in my hands. I said yes, walked over and explained it was a usps package. The employee then began to interrogate me about what was in the box. First I said stuff for my mom but they kept pressing as if I was hiding something. When I said books they explained that they can't ship certain items and that I wouldn't be receiving a receipt, which I never expected in the first place. They didn't even say what items that they couldn't ship. At that point I did not feel safe leaving my package given the employee's hostile attitude towards me and the other customer. It was the most aggressive "I don't want to help you and I don't want you here" vibe I've gotten shopping in this neighborhood. It felt racially motivated. I usually don't leave reviews or make complaints but this employee needs some retraining. I'm sure if they behaved this way with me it's not the first time. In any case I will not be back. Actually, I went to the FedEx in Walgreens after I left. They couldn't help me because I didn't have a label and couldn't make one on my phone. But I got great customer service by the young lady there. She treated me like a customer and not a criminal suspect for wanting to ship a package. Just night and day

This is one of the worst post office experiences I've ever had. I went in Saturday about an hour…read moreand a half for closing and I get there when a shift change and cash store check was happening so I get that I had to wait. But the workers had such an attitude. One of them who wander around told me to go to the next open window but when I got there then the worker gave me attitude while saying I didn't call you up. Then the wandering worker said well she can wait while you get set up. The way they didn't even seem to like each other and have to work together was not making it seem like a safe space. Luckily, this isn't my common post office that I would go to and I'm so thankful for that because the set up is so weird too like you can't even see the employee in the window to know. It's also incredibly dirty inside and there was a homeless person or something asking for money right when you walk in. Didn't feel safe, didn't feel any great customer service, extremely long wait. Never again.

I've seen far worse post offices than this. Everyone complaining of employees giving an attitude…read moreperhaps need to understand these clerks aren't the complaints department for whatever you have going on. Ask to speak with a supervisor if you have delivery issues etc. It would be much better if some of the customers wouldn't stand in line trying to mail out a single first class envelope and waiting to buy a stamp just for that one envelope. Buy a book of stamps and you will save everyone else's time including your own. It would be much better if this post office had a caller window for people picking up packages open during a certain time of day like 10am or something then it would be easier to pick up packages like it was many years ago. But look at all other retail industries where everything is being automated or self serve so it doesn't surprise me that there is only one window or 2 at most open to help you. Sometimes putting yourself in the shoes of the clerk is all it takes and try seeing it from their perspective. It's not easy to have a postal job. Postal work isn't like a simple 9 to 5 job specially the ones going on route. The biggest problem is there is no parking lot for the customers and its either paying the over priced street metered parking or risking getting a ticket and when the lines are long, like waiting for 15 to 20 minutes in line for people to get their passports done specially if you know how to fill everything out then maybe do it yourselves instead of wa ting everyone doing it for you. Then that takes away time and sometimes its not worth paying overpriced meter parking or risking a ticket for waiting in long line to pick up package specially some rude customers with their kids screaming and jumping around like its a playground. The you all expect the clerks to be all smiling when you wouldn't be smiling either if you had to work in this kind of environment.
