Instead of helping me send a package, he immediately started talking back to me and raising his voice, which drove me to extreme distress and almost to a hysterical state. I kindly request that you review the security camera footage, address this issue with the employee, and ensure that he is trained to respond to customers' questions calmly and professionally, rather than lecturing them in a rude tone. read more

I know everybody doesn't love dogs (fear, disinterest, allergies), but it is SO MUCH EASIER to run errands when you can walk your dog simultaneously and scratch something off your to-do list. I've come here on my own when I didn't want to awkwardly ask, "Can she come in too?" But there was one time maybe a year ago where I was already walking her and needed to drop off a package. I forgot what it was. I waited outside until all the customers left and poked my head in. The workers waved me in, let me go to the kiosk, and I was in and out within minutes. I tried again this weekend, fully still expecting for someone to turn me around. Nope! Not only were the two guys inside immediately interested in my dog, but one of them pulled out a bag of treats and asked if they were "too big" or could he give my dog one. I was pleasantly surprised. She can be a barker if she doesn't like someone (or just walk backward suspiciously), but she was totally quiet besides putting two paws on the counter to spy on the employees. My dog demolished that treat so fast that I don't even think she bothered chewing it. I didn't catch either guy's name, but he was about average height with a short cut. Super nice. I REALLY appreciate that they were so nice to my four-legged, unemployed BFF. I feel like I'm going to have a tough time with her thinking we should go to the UPS Store every time we walk by now. Picture this: You make an appointment online (per their request) to have documents notarized. You rearranged your work schedule and other appointments in order to get there within the allotted time you have carved out. You arrived at your scheduled time only to be told by a less-than-caring individual that you'll need to come back in an hour because the notary just left and won't be back until that time. You explain that you made an appointment on UPS's site (as they had instructed you to do), that the appointment was made the day before, and the signing of the documents is time-sensitive. The response? The employee just stares at you and replies, "Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. He [the notary] won't be back for an hour [even though you have an appointment for now]." Bottom line: this UPS store *might* be able to handle the most rudimentary of shipping tasks, but notary services and the adherence to scheduled appointments isn't in their wheelhouse. read more

On Monday (06/06/2022) I shipped a gift to my friend. The gift was handmade vase. I showed to UPS guy and he wrote "art work" in the invoice or whatever they fill out for package. That was my first experience with UPS and I usually use FedEx, where people pack everything in front of you and put some fillers that softens the item. But this time neither I didn't pay attention nor UPS guys didn't ask me. If that costs extra money, I would definitely pay for it. I paid $21.83 and my surprise gift is totally failed. I shipped a package from this location that had multiple gifts that I brought back from a recent trip. These are items that I could not replace! The items were going to be bubble wrapped and therefore the package was left opened in the store. I was naive to trust them! When I received the package (I was shipping it to myself as I was traveling for the holidays), an item was missing. I called and emailed with no response. I visited the store when I got home and they were rude telling me to call customer service. After 3 calls and 5 transfers in customer service, a complaint was filed. When I didn't get a reply after a week, I called again to be notified that the complaint was never filed. I had to refile a complaint as well as call corporate. Now I have to wait another 5-7 business days for a response. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION!! There is a FedEx location on Clark between Howard and Rogers! read more

Do NOT go here for passport photos. The pictures they took of my partner and I were so bad--cheap camera, too-bright lighting--that our faces were distorted and our hair blended into the background. We didn't look anything like ourselves, more like cartoon villains or extras from The Last of Us, and so we had to have them redone at the Evanston Post Office, which did a great job, using a real camera. Plus, UPS charges more than the post office. I'm glad to have a UPS store in the neighborhood and the workers were friendly and kind, but the store just doesn't have the set up or equipment to take photos. read more

I came in to use the printer and to send off 2 packages and a letter after work today. The employee David (what he said his name was) was extremely rude and unhelpful. He was sitting on the phone while I was printing my he was complaining about last minute customers.I'm sure he wanted us to hear him.It was me and another women there at the time. I came in maybe 25-20 minutes before closing. The computer was moving a little slow so printing my things took longer than expected. He was very aggressive and loud when he was taking my information to send my letter off. After giving him the address to send the letter off with an attitude he said that UPS can't send letters to PO Boxes. I have been to this UPS several time and he is the first employee who has treated me rudely. read more

They charge $15.29 +tax which is more than any competitor, but yet they take the appointments booked from UPS.com which state 2 photos for $9.99 while booking the appointment. Very bad business. Classic bait and switch. The photos received do not meet passport requirements for sizing or cropping and when pointed out, they refused to provide new photos. Quality also very poor taken with a 7 year old point and click camera. If you have an appointment for this store, cancel it. read more

They packed it perfectly and got it there on time. It made my parents holiday. They said it was so professionally done. I live right down the block and my two jobs call for me to use this UPS often. I've been using them for the entire year I've lived here (move here right when the pandemic started) and the staff there were friendly but this week I've been there twice, once to print out important documents, and once to fax. When I came in to print there was this short guy with blonde hair and blue eyes who was rude asf. He finished the customer in front of me and I walk up and ask "Hello how are you"? This dude looked up me up and down and simply said " what do you need" when I told him I need to print he told me very briskly " we have two options you could use the computer by bb inserting your debit card or you could send the documents through email and pay at the register " (tosses down the little laminated email address) and literally turned around started taking off this uniform and than I had a different guy help me. Rude asf. The second instance is with your worker David. Idk wtf his problem is but there is no need to hang up on a customer when they are calling I had to call the store FIVE times just to get through. And each time when the phone rang he'd answer and than hang up. EVERYTIME I CALLED. I guess he got annoyed at the fifth call and answered the phone YELLING into the receiver "YES HOW CAN I HELP YOU"!! So I shouted back what I was looking for. After I hung up I just decided I k walk down there to see may be they were busy. Guess what? It was one fucking customer in there. I paid to get my stuff faxed and he's asking the coworker what it was that I was purchasing like you can't ask me or you know take the paper the other guy gave me to give you? Wouldn't even look in my direction gave him my money this dude puts my money on the counter and slides it to me while my hand was out. Idk wtf his problem is but the customer service needs to be a bit better than this. This coming from a manger and a person that works in HR. I would find this unacceptable if my employees behaved like this. I will say the customer service from the new guy they were training was SUPERB! read more

This store was so immaculate that I thought it was brand new. The staff was very friendly and efficient .... I'll go again when I need to, for sure! It's very convenient since it's in a strip mall that includes a Dominick's, Marshall's, Payless and a few other stores. BUT there is a guy who works at this location (I can't remember his name, but he is a black guy with a lip ring and tattoos) who is always incredibly helpful and accommodating. I went into this store today and they just hired a young tall guy with orangish hair and filthy long fingernails. When he was pointing to the receipt and tracking I was so disgusted I did not even want to touch it. Also, they got a new credit card system installed where if you put in a debit card, you have to choice but to share your PIN with them and are required to input it to use your card --you CANNOT ANY LONGER USE A DEBIT CARD as a credit card to protect your privacy and bypass entering a PIN (. This was obviously done to avoid paying credit card processing fees. The manager of this store is always professional, but this place is going downhill. Clean the dirt under your finger nails!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I paid in excess of $40 to have 2 items packaged and shipped to Houston. Due to the clerk's data entry error, Apt 303 instead of Apt 304, I'm now out the shipping costs as well as the cost of the items. I asked that a note be placed on the label to have the package left ant the bldg mgmt office (not outside the exposed apt door). The mgmt office was closed by the time UPS made delivery. The package is now nowhere to be found. I will say that Andrew, has been gracious and has tried to resolve this for me. It's UPS corporate that is saying tough luck. I've used this UPS since 2009, when I first moved to Chicago. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. Your questions get reasoned answers, not just "this is policy" but also the full options you have with UPS, and a genuine attempt to get you the right service/shipping. The charges (if any) for peripheral stuff are reasonable (i.e. taping your package, printing your pre-paid label), which is a huge plus. The computer set up you can use for printing is a little uncomfortable, sometimes slow, and maybe needs a new mouse, but honestly - it's not like you're there to play Halo for 4 hours or anything. For just printing a page or two it's really not a big deal, but not a full 5 stars either. Definitely recommend this location! read more

My use case was returning an ecommerce package. I had the rma and label on my phone and a PDF on a USB stick. It was prepaid by evo.com. People were Nice and helpful in the phone, saying perhaps they could scan from the phone but couldn't tell until they saw it. Ok. Nope. I'd have to pay $1.71 for one b/w print! #fail. I said Fedex charges $0.12 for the same service (I ditched my home printer this yr so print via FedEx when needed, downtown. Previously I was quoted $0.91 for 7 b/w prints by this store so I took my business elsewhere, on principle! That is highway robbery IMO. read more

The service here is great, Gabe and Harvey are amazing as are the rest of the staff. They are very attentive and helpful. This is my neighborhood store. I got pretty lucky that the UPS Store closest to me is actually a good one. I have printed posters and business cards here. Printing is so affordable. Additionally, the staff and service are great. When printing my posters, I had trouble figuring out paper size. Yes, it's a simple task, but when you're a perfectionist, the paper size has to be just right for the design. He gave me a picture of two sizes to compare, I made my decision after pondering a bit. I was satisfied. The line is hardly ever long there. I think the longest I've seen is four people, but they usually have at least two people staffed. There is one computer (pay to use). I suggest bringing your file in on a thumb drive and giving it to them with the file name, what type of paper, and if it's black and white or in color. It's speedy for them and you. While I haven't shipped with them, I did watch an exchange the other day, that was very nice. The couple were about to head out when the cashier asked if they wanted the receipt. There was a look of disinterest, until he mentioned it was how they could track the package. That's notable, considering he could have just asked if they wanted it and tossed it if they said no, or he could've not called after them when they first starting heading out. The service is great. I called first to find out about their shredding policy. I was told the price, etc. Went I went there with 5 bags of stuff to be shredded I was surprised to know that the shredding stations are very small and the paper have to be slipped into small slits. It took me 2 hours. Iron Mountain or UPS have to invest in stations that will allow a customer to deposit to be shredded items in a larger mouth container than these small slits. The young man working there understood but there was nothing he could do. read more

I need to remind myself every once in awhile to give positive reviews when they are deserved- instead of being one of those people that only takes time out to complain. So here is a very well deserved review. I go to this store fairly regularly & have never had an unpleasant experience. However today, my mood was totally uplifted just by a mere fax. I consider myself a youthful middle aged person, but from time to time when having to deal with younger people I wonder about the state of this world, wonder if I was as rude or self involved at that age. Today's experience made me feel better, less cynical. I had to fax something and the young man who completed my transaction was a pleasure to deal with but not in a syrupy way- just efficient, polite & pleasant. I believe his name was Kace. At least that's what the register said. He was talking about filmmaking, so he's either a student or budding filmmaker. Needless to say, all the young men, diverse in every way, seemed to get along well in the shop & there was a pleasant camaraderie - though they never seemed distracted from doing their jobs.
