By time I got around to buying the beer, double wrapping the cans in plastic bags taping them shut, wrapping the cans individually in bubble wrap & putting into a box it was 06/14/24 - 2 days before Father's Day. Here in lies the dilemma. To send the package overnight it would have cost $206 dollars a bit pricy for a $6 dollar 6 pack of beer. By the time I went to UPS to send the package it was Friday. If I would have sent it overnight to get the package to my nephew for Father's Day 2 days later on Sunday 06/16/24 it would have required overnight shipping which was $206 dollars. I felt was ludicrous to pay that much. After discussing this w/my nephew I opted for 4 day ground service which was still $26.75, still crazy but much better than $206 dollars. When he finally scanned my first item, he asked in a low, menacing tone if that was the only code. I replied politely, 'Oh, I have two more items.' All of a sudden, he shouted, 'IS THIS THE CODE FOR THIS ITEM?!' so loudly that everyone heard -- the woman in front of me, the people behind me, even the UPS carrier picking up boxes. He ignored me when I tried to confirm, roughly scanned the rest, slammed the label onto the package, then turned away. Right after shouting at me, he became soft-spoken and smiling with the woman in front of me, leaning in to carefully check her code -- the complete opposite of how he had treated me. Even when I said 'thank you,' he deliberately ignored. What struck me most was his split personality -- hostile, aggressive, and humiliating toward me, then seconds later soft, smiling, and patient with another customer. Believe me, when someone shows this insidious side so openly, it isn't just a bad day. Over time, that kind of toxic behavior affects everyone around them.

I started to get anxious and snarky - it was WiFi withdrawal, I felt a cold sweat come over me. After all of the trouble shooting and talking to Comcast, that was the conclusion so after a trip to Costco and BestBuy, we ended up at Office Max. While looking at the Modems and reading about each option, an employee approached us and offered assistance. He then gave several suggestions and after landing on a particular make and model - he honored a price match on Amazon!! It was a done deal and he even checked us out. Now that folks is called total customer service!! Hooray - problem solved!! Not really, I eventually had to purchase a new router later in the day - but that'll be for my BestBuy review. The service was so much better at OfficeMax.
