And I'll add, for those people who are still having problems after having complained a million times, that if their driver is terrible, well, he's mad at you now. I doubt your delivery will get better as you just keep hollering and complaining, and don't talk to him nicely. Too late now. Use another service. The new FedEx delivery driver for 60076 (southeast Skevanston area) consistently delivers my packages to other houses, despite my repeated calls to customer service to report the problem. But the issues are not limited to that driver. It took me five tries to get a human on the line the last time I called FedEx customer service. The human I did reach, Gerard, was rude and unhelpful, telling me there's nothing FedEx can do to get my packages delivered to the right address in the future and refusing to connect me to a manager. This is the worst service I've ever experienced, and that includes the U.S. Postal Service. If FedEx cannot do better as a company, people will escalate and start telling the companies they do business with to avoid FedEx. I know that's what I'll be doing. read more

I went to FED EX on Greenbay in Evanston. After spending 15 minutes with packaging etc...when I went to the desk to ship my package. Only then did they tell me that their last pick-up was gone. (After watching me for 15 min!). They sent me to the ship center on Howard in Skokie, which according to them was "only 10 minutes away". It is actually 20 minutes away. As I needed to send overnight, I went to Skokie (in the middle of Monday night's winter-y mix). I waited in line and then completed the transaction at a cost of $70.00 to overnight. The clerk did NOT ask for my email address in the course of the transaction. I have never had that happen before. When I asked the clerk about it, he said it was too late, the transaction was done. I should have asked him to redo, but I did not. Of course, my $70.00 package has not arrived. And I cannot find my receipt. I have talked to two different people at Federal Express Customer Service. In itself, no easy feat. I suggest you ask for Technical Support to try to get an actual human. The two customer service people could not help me without a tracking number. They told me I had to go back to Skokie and try to get the information from their data base. I asked if I could call. They have no phone number for the Skokie facility (which is an actual shipping center). Whaaaat? I cannot even address that nonsense. Needless to say, after work, I will be heading to Skokie. All I can say is...there are other overnight shippers out there people!! I will be using them in future, and you should too!! read more

Once again, the high quality delivery drivers at fedex show their total disdain for their customers. A very fragile, as is marked all over, and marked for " this side up" toilet, literally tossed onto the porch and at an angle, not right side up. The toilet is, of course shattered. Another great delivery from the careless idiots at fedex. I hope they enjoy paying the claim. We have a perfect ring video of the whole thing, not that they care. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. FedEx claimed they delivered my expensive package (clothing) and showed a picture of an unlabeled, turned over box sitting on the TRUCK bed. NOT a pic of my home or even someones else's home. It was a tipped over box on a truck bed and said that was proof of delivery. My company sent me a laptop over night express delivery. The day it was supposed to be delivered it was not. I found out the delivery person reported an attempted delivery, but I was home all day and there was no attempt to deliver anything. Second day they left a door tag on my door but never bothered to even knock to deliver my package I work from home and was home. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this computer delivered and the call center told me there were no supervisors or managers working in the entire company that I could speak with. Fast forward my company now has to send it to the Jewel 2 blocks away because Fed-X can't be bothered to deliver to my condo. This is the worst service ever. If you're getting a package from this location, good luck. There has been about 4-5 instances where it was being delivered from here and they "attempted delivery" but never did. Yesterday I needed something by noon and I watched the driver park the car, go back to scan the item(probably as a "delivery attempt"), then drive off. Never stopped out of the van. Then I called customer service and someone from the Skokie center told me they would reattempt delivery the same day. Never did and I waited all day until 8pm. read more

I don't have a problem with the shipping center. I was in and out in a heartbeat. They were friendly and I received my letter within 5 minutes. The issue I had was that the driver rang my doorbell, I asked who it was and no reply. I looked out my window to see it was FedEx. I shouted out of my window that I was home, maybe the driver didn't hear me. I raced down the stairs to see if I can catch the driver, nope only the sticker saying I had to pick up my package after 5 pm. My shipment was delayed for a total of 4 days and counting! No explanation about the first 3 days of delays, I was simply told that it was at the Niles station and hadn't been scanned yet. I spoke to people in different departments every day to find out why they were not delivering it and I was misinformed, transferred around until my call was disconnected several times and straight-up lied to by every person that I spoke with! On the 4th day (today), I was told that the delivery was unsuccessful because no one was home - THIS IS TOTAL BS!! Someone WAS home and I even put a signature form on the door, just in case we were not home. The lazy driver chose not to leave the package, without even attempting an actual delivery! So, tomorrow is Friday and if they choose once again to NOT deliver the package, I won't get it until next week - UNACCEPTABLE!!! FedEx employees on the phone refuse to actually help, they refuse to escalate and put a supervisor or manager on the phone and they only know how to repeat what they see on their screen. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a shipping company. I will NEVER recommend that anyone use FedEx for shipping. FedEx needs to make this right. I have over 8 cameras watching the street and all entrances to my house. at 11:19 am today a courier from this station dropped a package off at my door. his assailant followed directly behind him in the car immediately as he marked it delivered his accomplice came and picked it up and ran off. upon speaking to the manager she gave nothing but attitude. She had enough grace to "understand why I'm mad" I asked her to contact the driver she said "I will make note of that." I have hired a detective to run an investigation on this store as there is obviously something shady going on here. I just wanted my phone back and based off the footage it's very evident there is some sort of operation occurring. This may sound unrealistic but unless you want your package stolen from that facility itself then keep doing business with this Howard location. Just thinking back about the events that happened gives me trauma. This past winter my dad was getting medication delivered because the insurance company required that the meds be delivered from a specialty pharmacy of the insurance choice, otherwise the meds wouldn't be covered by the insurance provider. Unfortunately the pharmacy was using FedEx for shipping purposes. Every month that FedEx needed to deliver the meds they failed in doing so. One time they delivered the meds to the building across the street. Another time they completely disregarded the instructions left for them on how to deliver it and I actually ended up being home that day and watched them out of the window how they didn't even try to properly deliver the package. Another time they simply lost the package. Their driver lost it. My dad, who is terminally ill, was so worried because his meds that he depends on were lost. Imagine a very sick individual needing to worry about their meds on top of everything they are dealing with already because FedEx lost their meds. How can this happen? After complaining and calling several times their customer service hotline and getting in touch with the shipper, FedEx retrieved the meds hours later by having a driver trace back his route. Apparantly he completely left the package at an entirely different address. Instead of re-delivering the package because it was their mistake they couldn't redeliver until Monday. This was already Friday evening and my dad needed the meds for that night. I asked where I could pick up the package and was told I had to drive all the way to Skokie to pick up the package if I wanted it before Monday. I also gave them my name [female] and told them to hold the package because I would come and pick it up. So on a very frigid Chicago winter evening I drove to Skokie to pick it up so my dad could take his meds on time. In the meantime because I had also reported the package missing to the shipper, they also dispatched a courier to go to this location and attempt to retrieve the package. When I got to this location I provided the woman working the front my tracking number and ID and told her how I had arranged for the package to be held for me. She proceeded to tell me that they don't have the package there. I was stunned. She goes to tell me that Oscar already picked it up. I asked who is Oscar? She just shrugged and goes on to tell me perhaps he's my friend, boyfriend, brother and asks me don't you know who he is as he obviously picked up and signed for your package? I was so upset! Here I was having driven all the way to Skokie in sub zero temperatures because FedEx couldn't redeliver until sometime Monday, only to be told that some dude named Oscar already picked up my package. I asked if they asked him for ID and she goes to rudely tell me that they only go off tracking numbers. I told her again how I had called and provided my info [female name] for pickup so how could they have just given the package to some guy? Didn't they check IDs? I could just randomly pick up tracking numbers left on door tags and pick up random people's packages based on what she was telling me. I was so upset and shocked. At this point I was frantic and told her how this was medication that they had lost earlier in the day. She had no compassion for me, my situation and simply didn't care that I was a visibly upset customer. There was no attempt on her part to give me any resolution or explanation. She just told me if I want to complain I could do so by calling their generic FedEx Customer Service number AGAIN. Luckily the shipper called me at this time to inform me that their courier, Oscar, had picked up the package and was on his way to redeliver the package so my dad could take his meds that night. I was so relieved and truly the shipper's courier delivered the package. On the package there was still a note that stated that I had called, to hold the package for me and my name was written in capital letters on the note taped to the package. Yet, they gave it to Oscar. If I could I would give this place no stars, I would. This was all unnecessary stress for my dad and me because their driver initially lost this package. Don't their drivers and employees realize that they are handling time sensitive items and medication that people's lives depend on? There was just so much disregard and no care at all for the customer and the items being shipped. Avoid FedEx and this facility at all costs! read more

They need a signature for the delivery, came to my building, called my gf to buzz him in, gf gave my name as it ismy name is in the buzzer, never buzzed me and just left without calling my gf. Then 2nd attempt, the info says they attempted delivery today. I was at home the entire day, there is someone who buzzed and was buzzed in for Delivery but it was not fedex because they need a signature. No knock on the door, no call to my gf's number. Nothing. I am at a loss of where I can actually get my complaint across to this company so Yelp it is.... I am writing this on your page because I am holding you responsible for delivering packages to my house. This has been a 4 month of stolen packages, damaged packages, blatant disrespect. This company is honestly the absolute WORST! I get delivered HomeChef every Monday. My lazy driver (despite having the useless Account Delivery Manager) has been leaving my food boxes out in the sun/rain/snow/ you name it causing the food to spoil and bugs to get in. I have contacted FedEx so many times and they kept "filing claims", "filling a report", and transferring me to so many people that nothing got accomplished. I was calling HomeChef and they were trying to deal with them and still no progress. I have been handwriting written notes stating "OPEN THE DOOR AND PLACE THE PACKAGE INSIDE" because you know they aren't reading the delivery manager. I was told to file a claim, and that's what I did. I talked to an associate who gave me a number and said we will call you soon. Week later no call so I called them, they said they closed the case and didn't find the need to tell me. I tried to get a manager and instead of transferring me I get sent to another area that is not relevant. Yeah, sending me all over FedEx company is really going to make me not call back... well guess what, you are not going to win this. So after a million calls, still nothing is resolved the driver is still lazy and leaves it out to get stolen and bugs are still in my packages. Finally- as of last week, the driver got the hint and placed my package inside the door. Wow, who knew 1 extra step would have solved this problem from the beginning. Now we are here today, the cherry on top of all this hatred towards this hell-hole company. My medication was stolen. It's a non-descriptive package and the driver left it outside on a Friday afternoon while I was a work. Again, ignored the delivery manager and puts me in a very bad predicament. If my insurance wasn't required to have mail order- believe me, I won't but I guess the universe is out to get me and fuel this fire of the feud between me and FedEx. This all being said, I called and they said it didn't have an apt number so the driver just left it and they will file a claim and call me back soon. I said fine and called my pharmacy to tell them. Well no surprise, there is no coverage for "lost medication" which means I'm SOL. I applaud you FedEx, you have really outdone yourself. I called back, to file a formal complaint. I get a rep even though I requested a manager. Which they refuse to transfer me. I get transferred to some lady telling me to file a complaint tomorrow...such helpful advice... They would ring my buzzer for a second - sometimes so short I thought it was a mistake and by the time I ran down a minute later they were gone and left a note that stated I had to drive ten miles to pick it up. There were a number of people waiting in line here and the wait was slightly longer than I would have expected. The ladies behind the counter were not working particularly fast and checking in packages that were dropped off, rather than helping people standing in line. As you might guess, some people were perturbed. On a positive note, the cashier went above and beyond to assist me in obtaining the label I needed desperately. What a world of difference between USPS and Fedex. I come here and drop of packages many times. Never have to wait more than a few minutes and total time there never takes more than 5 minutes. Of course, I print my postage on fedex.com and get my package ready. So all I have to do is drop it off, and when I do, the customer reps usually take my box and give me a receipt. If you are planning on shipping more often, get a fedex account. I've noticed that the Ground prices are very close, if not beating, US Postal Services Priority Mail (with Ground you get insurance up to $100 and tracking included... plus shipping times are pretty comparable). Now USPS... even if you print the postage online, if the box is heavy, you have to wait in line so they can take your package. Sigh. read more
