This review is for dropping off a return to Amazon. The store itself looks on the shabby side. When I walked in, there was a gentleman behind the counter taking care of a customer on the phone and a woman sitting in the window on the phone. Because the gentleman was the only person I saw in the store, I just stood in front of his desk waiting for him. Eventually the woman that was sitting in the window got up and walked over to the second counter and asked if she could help me. She was pleasant enough and took care of me, but I didn't realize she worked there until she came over to the counter. Can't say for sure if she was helping a customer or on a personal call. read more

I'm not sure if it's a difference in ownership or what but I've taken items to another UPS store and they packed and sent it, but this store required me to buy a box. Or would have, but I thought I had the box the item came in at home so I didn't continue. I'd also planned to send a fax but for some reason it didn't go through--but the person who sent the fax didn't know how to tell if it was sent or not. Luckily there was another employee who asked about it or something to see that it hadn't gone through. Fax is a ridiculous technology at this point but yikes at not knowing how to use it when you work there. Folks here are not super friendly nor were they particularly helpful. I've had relatively good experiences T the UPS store in North Center, so if I have to go to one I'll go the extra mile to that store instead. read more

This location has a very small storefront, so it may not be visible from a car. It is indeed a small place that was busy; however, after waiting they were pleasant, knowledgeable and "got the job done". I was at the store tonight and I was standing in line and the worker just ignored me and serviced a white lady behind me. When I asked him why, he told me that he doesn't have to answer to me. Then he proceeded to tell me I'm not a victim and he's not the police! I was shocked and appalled because all I asked was why did he skip me in line! I asked where the manager was and he pointed to her. She observed his behavior and ignored me. I will be reporting this behavior to the local Chamber of Commerce, the alderman and the BBB. I am now afraid to return. Update: I called the manager and he was rude and dismissive and he said he will side with his employee because he doesn't know me. To whomever runs/owns this place, I'd like to commend you for only having one person working at the counter 7 days before christmas...when people have to social distance....which means standing outside in the 31º weather. I understand it's COVID and businesses must adapt - but the holidays come every year. And businesses like yours need to be properly staffed. Or extend hours. The manager of this location is totally unprofessional. I was shocked by the cost of something and other than be empathetic, she continually mocked, made faces when she thought I wasn't looking and was otherwise totally not fit to work in a customer facing position. I've ordered from Print Peppermint before and although it took longer than I expected to receive the cards, I really loved them. So when my boyfriend and I decided to order new/updated cards, I immediately thought of this company. I'm really sad to say we had a terrible experience! We ordered two sets of cards with the fastest/most expensive shipping (2nd day) because we needed them in time for a business trip we were taking, but 10 days later we still haven't received the order. It took a representative to three business days to even respond to our email, and an additional 5 days for our order to ship. Neither of us were able to reach anyone on the phone after leaving multiple messages. We both resorted to emailing and finally to chatting on their website with Jaeson, who was rude over chat and didn't even apologize for the delay. We'd had some mixed messages since both my boyfriend and I were trying any way we could to reach anyone from the company, and panicked about whether or not we'd get our (expensive) cards on time for our trip, and when we finally got an email back we were told we'd been blacklisted from the company because of "way too much communication about our order." Jaeson even attached very rude photos to the email he sent. I'm bummed because I really was excited to order them... hopefully they turn up in time for our trip, but next time we will probably order from a company with more efficient shipping and friendlier customer service. read more

I can't say the staff here is rude, like some of the other reviews. The guy working here last night was pleasant, at least. He seemed to be sincerely trying to print out the file I specifically requested. He just wasn't able to print it out. Which is more a comment on the shoddy equipment than his competence. At any rate, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. And he did give me the copies he printed out in error for free. But, UPS . . . don't tack color copies behind the counter all "We do color copies" if you're not able keep equipment in-house that can print out a SIMPLE PDF. read more

I live in the infamous 60640 area code, and I go here to deliver anything. I don't care if it costs me $100, at least it will get delivered unlike the incompetent Uptown USPS 60640 address. I am considering getting a PO box at $35 a month just so I can get my mail. I am still getting mail from people 40 years ago, and all of my packages go missing. Other peoples valuables are delivered here or thrown into the bush. If you actually want your package delivered or to receive your package, pay to go here. Otherwise, you will be paying much more on lost bills, packages, ect. from USPS Note: The service is also fast, helpful, and friendly! They were playing great music, very nice, and allow dogs and are nice to the dogs which made my day. (I don't have a dog, but the workers were very friendly to another patrons dog). read more

So I've come here a number of times and I always feel like I'm being over-charged for everything, from the $5 small boxes to the stamps. Also, is you go on the UPS Store site it says they have a notary public available at certain hours. The truth is, you need to call and make sure that person is there and most times that person is NOT there. You'd do better to find a corner check-cashing spot and ask for notary services. So packages; I dropped off a package in the morning. It already had a return label on it. 24 hours later, the package is JUST leaving for a destination scan today. Looks like it missed one day's pick-up. Delayed package pick-up, over charged for the box and sometimes notary. Yeah, I'd recommend you find another UPS Store, say the one in Rogers Park. I'm going to keep my distance from this spot. read more

These guys are absolute dirty thieves. I went in there to get some documents faxed. The clerk at the time failed to fax the documents, then proceeded to charge me a service fee with my package which I noticed once I got home. Another time, I shipped an expensive product asking them to put a "do not bend" sign on it. This was going to a residential address. They charged me the commercial address price ($2 more - which I again realized once I got home) and it arrived at its destination bent. Will never use these guys again. And I thoroughly discourage supporting their business. read more

Most unhelpful UPS store EVER. Long story short, I needed a Zappos label printed to make my return. I was fine with paying the $3.25, no problem. BTW when they tell you it's going to be $3.25 to print the label it's like they want to deter you from them having to do extra work. Obviously, it's a service I want so I don't care about paying. In retail that's called an UPSELL and most businesses embrace that practice. Now, let's see who's doing all the work though. I had to log in to Zappos, request the return, then forward the label email to the store so they could print it. FINE. I forward the Zappos mailing label email to the store. The clerk opens the email and says "I don't see the label here." So I say, "I believe there is a link there so that the label pops up." He was about to start with something about "well, if we have to click on the link..." Honestly, I didn't want to hear one word about an extra charge or how this was not the process they were used to. What's so hard about clicking on a link? This was not the first time I have received shoddy service from this store but this time I was truly compelled to complain. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will drive the extra 2 miles to visit the UPS Store on Southport. read more

Worst customer service (non-existent) and print job ever!!! Where to begin... I ordered cards for a client in Florida and had them shipped to myself so I could review them for quality before sending to client. The cards are the worst I have ever seen.. I could get cards a 1000 times better from Vista Print for a 10th of the cost. The cut on the cards was off set to the right and the cut itself was all frayed. I emailed with my concerns about the cards and told them I could not accept them. I then received an email asking me to answer questions that I had already supplied in my previous email. It is now 3 days later and still NO response. I have called numerous times only to get a voicemail. Called Jaeson and left a voicemail as well. We have requested a refund but have not heard back at all. I cannot send these cards to client and said I'd send back. Their quality of product and non-existent customer service is WAY OVER PRICED! Also, I mapped all their addresses and they are ALL UPS store addresses.. So, THIS company doesn't do their own printing! They over charge you for some other cheap work! Honestly Print Peppermint deserves 5 Stars across the board. Not only did they have THE BEST prices that I could find (trust me, I scoured the Internet) but they also produce incredibly beautiful products and have the most wonderful customer service team. After ordering their *free* sample package, I decided on which card I wanted and then their team quoted me at for three different options, depending which route I wanted to go. The sample packet also had a 10% off discount code that I applied toward my order. My cards just arrived yesterday and I'm incredibly happy with them. Their customer service team worked with me every step of the way, confirming all proof details, scheduling delivery in time for an important networking event, and answering all my questions in a timely manner. And then going above and beyond to ship me extra in a rush order since my original shipment was delayed. I plan to always use this company and will recommend to everyone. read more

I've frequented this UPS store a few times for shipping ground packages only, with no fancy or special packing needed. The staff has generally been friendly enough to me. On my last visit, there were a few other people shipping packages of varying sizes and complexities. I didn't notice anyone else having any problems, except that there were only two people working on what I can can only guess was an unusual late afternoon rush at the store. Bonus points for me is that it's close to my place and I don't have to trek to the dreaded Uptown Post Office. Convenience does have its perks. More stars will surely surface should I need to utilize more of their services and really see what Brown can do for me. read more

Went here to mail a couple of books on a day when the weather made walking to the Uptown Post Office a deeply unpleasant prospect. Though this store ships via USPS as well as UPS, the woman behind the counter insisted that $12.02 (for UPS ground) was the absolute cheapest rate for mailing a paperback book to another address in Chicago. That seemed pretty steep, but I had to put the books in the mail that day and just wasn't up for a twenty minute walk through freezing rain. Today, I took two of the exact same books to the Upton P.O., where I sent them out (one to Glencoe, one to New Jersey) via Media Mail for $2.72 apiece. This leads me to believe that either a) the woman behind the counter is completely incompetent, or b) this place is running a serious scam. I believe in supporting local businesses in general, and in my Andersonville neighborhood in particular, but I will be giving this store a wide berth from now on. read more

Too Little, Too Late. Highly Unprofessional. I emailed this company for a quote over a week ago and today they finally respond with their "reasoning" as to why I haven't heard from them. Their reasoning included *word for word* (1) You've requested a quote for a product we currently are not producing. - the combinations and 5 versions of same cards -- and (2) Our custom project production cue is currently booked up for more than 2 weeks and we are not accepting any new projects. --Realistically 5-6 weeks out at this time. I requested a quote on 5 different business cards with slight differences *that I confirmed could be completed via the online chat support before sending the request*. It's been a week since my request, and today is the first time I've heard anything other than automated confirmation emails. I like going in the early morning when they just open but on a day I had to go in the evening before they closed I had a bad experience with an older man. Ive been going here & there for about 7 yrs. But this man was so rude and he even scolded the young lady next to him while she was helping another customer. I couldn't understand why he stopped even helping me to scold her and nearly yell at her. If he is somehow in management or running the place i feel horrible for the staff. Hes a very unhappy man. This review is for UPS delivery services. I chose this address, as it is closest to where I live. I received a UPS card about a package that was delivered to my former address. Unfortunately, UPS did not allow for enough time for me to receive the card, as it was delivered to me after their imposed expiration date. This means that the package was sent back to the sender. I called and asked for info about the shipper and was told that there is no info. They must have info, because the shipper obviously paid UPS to deliver a package to me. Yet, I was told by everyone I spoke with that there is no info. The shipper name on the card offers no contact information. Searching for them online turned up nothing. So I have no idea what was in this package, with no way to contact the shipper, and UPS refuses to help in any way in this regard. It is hard to believe that a company this irresponsible is allowed to take on the job of delivering packages to people. read more

I agree with Mr. N. I've been in this store twice and both times had very simple things to do (1. ship a package, 2. mail a letter). Both times I was treated by the male manager as if I were an idiot. I don't know that I've ever been treated with such short, curt social exchanges by a manager at any store that I have ever been to -- his rudeness was so startlingly pronounced, that in hindsight it is almost humorous. I needed something notarized, and saw this place has that service. Past experience told me to check, so I called the day before and asked when their notary would be in. "They're here until three o'clock," I was told. So I went in at 12:00. The notary wasn't there. The clerk told me that the notary was the manager (possibly the owner of the franchise?), and that he tends to just "come in whenever he wants." The clerk then said the boss *might* be in at 1 o'clock. I could wait for twenty minutes, and the guy *might* be in. Or I could take a business card and call before I "made the trip" to have my documents done. When I pointed out that that's what I had done, the clerk just shrugged. So let's recap: 1) I called to make sure they had the necessary service, and was given bad information; 2) When I went in, I was told I should have called to make sure the person I needed would be in - see #1; 3) The manager/owner, who provides the service, doesn't think it necessary to be available on anything like a consistent basis. I wouldn't work with this location. read more

Outstanding customer service. I had a terrible experience with UPS driver(s). An unwanted 'signature required' package was left without signature, and the driver never showed the next day, for a scheduled return pickup. UPS apparently operates with zero accountability. I ended up taking my package directly to this store, rather than rely on the joke UPS currently calls customer service. They helped me arrange a return, for a package that never should have been delivered in the first place. Kudos to the staff, who went above and beyond. read more
